Summer haul : Maybelline & Divage

Maybelline had a 3 for sale and Divage released their brand new lip polish which got me rushing to the beauty store.
I took advantage of the offer because I wanted to try out their lash sensational mascara. At the same time I picked up two lipsticks from the same brand. Also, the Divage Lip polish, I picked up three shades.

Divage Lip Polish.
With the liquid lipstick hybrid lip products releases going on, it seems like this local Russian brand has finally caught up with the trend and releasing their own versions of the lip polish. This product comes in around 8 shades.
I got 3 shades from the 8 and they are the pinks and neutrals.

The lip polish packaging is beautiful! The cap is a pink-silver colour giving it a sleek and girly feel to a simple packaging.

The shades do not have a name. I picked up 02 , 03, 04.

Swatches from top 02,03,04 and 01

The only shade from the swatches I did not pick up is 01.

Maybelline Lash Sensational

It took me awhile to get this. When it was first launched I really like the packaging because it is a rose coloured tube. I definitely could not resist roses and pinks.
I put it on hold since I had quite a number of mascaras. The other day I finished one of my mascaras and I thought it is time to get a new mascara and took advantage of the offer.

Maybelline Color Sensational Moisture Extreme Lipcolor

This lipstick range is only available in selected countries. I like this lipstick because It is affordable but the texture and feel on the lips is luxurious.

170 Rose Diva 175 Miss Light

I am pretty sure these colours are Russian limited since the names for the shades are in Russian and I have not seen this shade anywhere else except over here.

Rose Diva is a purplish magenta shade.
Miss Light is a peach-pink.

Makeup Organization 2015

It is time to do the yearly makeup organization post. This is last year's post if you have not check it out.
Summer holidays is approaching, it is time for me to pack up my cosmetics and transport them home, so before I pack and wrap up nicely and stuff them into my luggage.

My makeup storage is still the Fira drawer that I have bought from a senior, it is a second hand. This is a very good makeup storage drawer. This drawer has made makeup storage so much easier.

This year, it seems like I went shopping crazy during the depression of Rubles and I bought lots of makeup. So what you might see is much much messier than last year's makeup organization.

Let's get digging into the makeup.
The first drawer from the right are mostly cheek products.
You could see my L'oreal blushes, Essence highlighters and blushers, Topshop glowstick. Also, my Chanel Poudre Universalle Libre and Vivienne Sabo Blush Duo.

Below the L'oreal blush and Topshop glowsticks.
There are the Essence Soo Glow cream highligters, Essence Come to Town cream blush, TheFaceShop Illuminating cushion blusher. By the way TheFaceShop blush has cracked beyond recognition but I am still keeping it.

The middle drawer. Basically this drawer houses the eye products.
There are the Catrice Absolute Nude palette and Majolica Majorca palette, lots of mascaras and eyeliners from different brands.

This is what is below, you could see the mascaras, eyeliners, brow pencils, eyelash glue, also NARS eyeshadow.

This is the high end drawer. All the high end items go in here with their packaging.
I just want to keep them in their boxes like brand new.
There are Yves Saint Laurant, Chanel, Dior, NARS and MAC items in this drawer. Just to name a few, I have the Yves Saint Laurent Babydoll Kiss and Blush, Yves Saint Laurant Rouge Volupte and NARS Audacious lipsticks in this drawer.

The lip product drawer. I also have palettes and other products that couldn't fit anywhere else fit into this drawer.
I am so sorry, this is so messy. An explosion of lip products.

I have the NYX Butter glosses, Catrice Lip treatment, Victoria Secret Beauty Rush lipgloss, Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque.

The other side, I have a lot of L'oreal Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks, they are my favourite liquid lipstick from the drugstore, the M.now long lasting lipglosses, Essence I love Nude lipsticks.

The palettes behind. I have the Catrice Absolute Rose Platte, L'oreal La Palette, Diorblush and Estee Lauder lip palette which I got as a freebie. Below those palettes are more lipsticks from brands like Topshop, Max Factor, Rimmel and Essence.

The base drawer. Also, with lots of miscellaneous that would not fit anywhere else.

Just to show a few products, I have some Chanel products, Urban Decay Naked Flushed in Native, ELF tone correcting powder in Shimmer, Collection concealer etc.

FOTD : Day out with family

Since I am back home in Malaysia, I have more choices of makeup to choose from from my makeup collection to play around and experiment around.
For my base I used the Etude House Dream on Base in Lavender that has been lying around in my makeup collection. Using it after a long time reminded me why I have chucked this base in the deepest corner. It is really hard to blend. I literally need to rub into my skin to blend this product out. If not, I will leave a purple cast on the face. No one wants a purple face.
Then I layered it with Maybelline's BB Cream (Asian version). I like the Asian version so much better than the European/American version. The coverage is light to medium but I like how natural the finish is on my skin. Perfect for days where I want a natural finish and days I do not want to cake on makeup.
I powdered it off with Palgantong's theatrical powder. At one point, this powder used to be the hottest powder in Asia. It was highly raved in Korea and Japan and I do see it mentioned in Japanese fashion magazines. I really like this powder, it is finely milled, long lasting and natural. The best part, it is super affordable.
For my undereye concealer, I used the Maybelline Dream Lumi concealer.

Cheeks is the Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Rose Petal.

For my eyes, I didn't apply any eyeshadow. Eyeliner is the Essence Eyeliner Pen in Waterproof version. Eyebrows is the Essence Designer Brow in Light Brown and Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Eyebrow Mascara in 01. I forgot the colour since I had this eyebrow mascara for such a long time. I love Japanese eyebrow mascara. I find them to have the best eyebrow mascara.

Mascara is the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara and Maybelline Hyper Curl Cat Eyes Mascara ( I can't seem to find this mascara anymore, It might have been discontinued. I am really really really sad because it is my HG lower lash mascara. I guess I have to keep the wand. )

My lips is the Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in Pink Punch.

Eyeshadow craze : mini haul

I have been getting eyeshadows each time I pop into the beauty store that it has become a serious issue. The Essence Revamp Mono Eyeshadows and Divage Velvet Eyeshadow are just so great for being so cheap and quality is just magnifique for the price paid.

So, this time, I picked up two eyeshadows again.

Essence Eyeshadow in Raindrops on Roses.

The camera does not pick up the shade well. It is a champagne shade with pink iridescent shimmers.
I picked up this shade because it looks like it would make a great lid colour on days I want the extra shine and shimmer.

Divage Velvet Eyeshadow in 7309

This is a matte peach shade. A beautiful lid shade.
The Divage eyeshadows are just to die for. I have bought most of the neutral shades and I love every single shade I have purchased.

If you happened to see a Divage around. Give these eyeshadows a try.

KLIA - Malaysian Airport Haul

In Malaysia, you could not find YSL makeup counters and the one and only counter is available in the terminal of the international airport. Which is kind of sad because it is not easily accessible at all.
I have the chance to fly in and fly out Malaysia once a year, this time I took the chance and picked up some items from the counter.

I picked up three items from the counter. It does look little but it doesn't cost as little as it looks.

The gold light reflecting packaging makes it so hard to take a good photo of the items. In real life, the packaging is really luxurious and pretty looking though. Just that it doesn't go well with photography.

Yves Saint Laurant Rouge Pur Couture Vernis A Levres Glossy Stain in 2 Brun Glace

I didn't mean to pick up this item at all. I was suppose to pick up the YSL Kiss and Blush in 2 Rose Frivole.
The sales lady took the wrong item for me and since I was in a hurry,  I didn't realize until I was in the plane. What a big mistake she made.

This glossy stain is a brick brown colour, this colour has a vintage feel to it. It is not a colour that I would use on a frequent basis. Since I got and it is expensive, I would find ways to pull off this colour. I feel it would look good against my fair skin and brighten up my skin immediately.

The next item I got is the Gloss Bolupte Pure in 202 Rose Jersey.
Actually what drew me to get this product is its packaging. So beautiful. I always love YSL's luxurious and beautiful packagings.
I am not into shimmers, glitters in my gloss, so, I settled for the Pure range which are cream finishes.

Don't you just love the packaging. YSL never failed me with their packagings.
I am just sad that do not an extensive colour collection for their pure finishes. I think there's about four pure finishes in the collection and only one pink.
You know my love for pinks, if they release more pure finishes in various shades of pinks, I would have pick more of the Gloss Volupte for myself. Now, I will just settle for one.

202 Rose Jersey is a beautiful baby pink.
The glosses are a little on the sheer side, if you do not have pigmented lips, there will be colour pay off. They make good layering lipglosses.

Ofcourse, I save the best for the last.
The Rouge Volupte Lipsticks has always been on my wishlist for the longest time. I have seen and heard so much about this lipsticks.
What drew me again, is definitely the packaging. I would say that the Rouge Volupte packaging is definitely the prettiest lipstick packaging ever exist on Planet Earth.

There were two versions of the travel selections, one is the pinks, the other is a combination of a red and a bright orange. Ofcourse me being me, I would choose the pink which comes with the shade 8 Fetish Pink and 9 Pink Caress.

There's two boxes of lipsticks within the travel edition box.
The gold is really beautiful but not very nice for photography since it is highly reflective.

The packaging is definitely the epitome of luxury. I could stare at the packaging all day long and still be in awe with it. So beautiful.
The band in the middle represents the shade of the lipstick, so it makes it easier to see the shade without opening the lipstick.

9 Pink Caress is a muted medium pink with slight plum tones.
This colour goes well with almost every skintone but I can see this colour looking fantastic on darker skintone girls. Since it is muted, it makes a good everyday colour.
8 Pink Fetish is a barbie pink.
Compared to 7 Pink Lingerie, I find Pink Fetish much more wearable since it doesn't not have as much white tones in it. This will look good on fairer tone girls. A very fun, girly pink shade.

After getting hold of more YSL products, I still want more. I am very pleased with all the products that this brand has to offer, the packaging is of class and the quality is of top notch.
I am going to burn my wallet with more YSL items in the future.

Current obsession : mini haul

From each recent mini hauls I made each time shows my obsession towards my newly found love - the Divage Velvet Eyeshadows. I just keep picking them up when I have a chance to pop into the beauty store.

This time I picked up the Divage Velvet Eyeshadow once again and Eva mosaic's blush.

Eva Mosaic blush in 11 Rose Silk
Eva Mosaic is a Russian brand. I never really ventured into this brand.
Somehow this blush was on sale and I really like the colour and glow it gives. It is a luminous coral shade.

Divage Velvet Eyeshadow in 7305.

I finally found this shade! I have been searching this shade high and low and now it is finally in my hands.
This shade is a grey-purple shade. It is absolutely gorgeous. Currently I have been collecting eyeshadows of shades as such.
Also, the Divage Velvet Eyeshadows have been my new matte eyeshadow love. They are so great, the texture and pigmentation is really good for the price paid.

Ole Summer : L'oreal 3 for 2 and Bourjois

The beauty shop near my hostel had a three for two sale on L'oreal, Maybelline and Ganier and also an offer for an item on Bourjois which I had my eyes on. It is a pretty good deal which I could not pass on, so, I ended up getting some items from the beauty store.

Bourjois Silk Edition Compact Powder, L'oreal Infailliable 24 hrs Matte Foundation, L'oreal le blush.

This is what I have picked up from the drugstore. I really had my eyes on the Bourjois Silk Edition Compact Powder after seeing Amelia Liana from Youtube sporting this powder.
Also, the whole youtube/beauty blogger world has been talking about this L'oreal Infaillible Foundation, I jumped the bandwagon and got one myself. The blushes, I wanted to make full use for the 3 for 2 offer and I was swatching  the blushers and really like the colours and texture, so I got two to fit the deal.

L'oreal Infaillible 24 Hrs Matte Foundation. If I am not mistaken it is called the Pro Matte in the US
My colour is in 11 Vanilla, the second lightest shade available. Actually I was torn between choosing 11 and 12. 11 leans more yellow and 12 more pink. After much consideration I went with 11 because the yellow undertone might suit to my Asian skintone better.

I haven't got the chance to test this foundation but I am definitely excited to try it out.

The Bourjois Silk Edition Compact Powder.
I am just so extremely thrilled when this powder went had an offer because I have been eyeing on this for the longest time.
I have good experiences with Bourjois' base products and there were a lot of great reviews about this powder out there. So, I guess that's what lead me to purchase this powder.

Let's talk about how beautiful the packaging is. It comes with a sleek black sturdy packing
The mirror, can be rotated 360 degrees all around and is in a good size.

The powder. I didn't remove the plastic flim on top just yet so pardon the reflection.
My shade is 52, which is the lightest available. I usually use shade 51 in Bourjois. I swatched it before purchasing it and it seems just fine on my Nc15-Nc20 skin but I am actually a little afraid that the powder will be dark on my face after the oxidation. I have to try out and see how it goes.

L'oreal le blush. I got the shade 140 and 105.
This blushes so smooth and soft to the touch that when I swatching it, I just went all 'ooh~ and ahh~' and before I could realize, these blushes are already in my shopping basket.

Left : 140 Right: 105
140 is a soft rose-beige with some peach undertones
105 is a straight up baby pink

From the picture you could see some fall outs. These blushes are really soft so it crumbles really easily. Just do not drop these blushes, they will shatter into a million pieces.

Swatches : Left : 140 Right : 105

The blush comes with a blush brush which most of the time I would not use. I prefer using my own blush brush. I still it is pretty nice for on the go.
It also comes with a small mirror, which can come handy.

Travel Diary: Australia : Follow me Great Ocean Road

We start of the day in Melbourne early with our tour to the Great Ocean Road. Visiting Melbourne will be not be complete without going on a road trip down Great Ocean Road.

The start of the road trip, we had a toilet break before the long journey down the Great Ocean Road.
Also a photo to kick start the journey.

Let the journey begin
The road of the Great Ocean Road is really winding, the tour guide advised those who get car sick easily to get their car sick pills, paperbags ready or even sleep through part of the journey to feel more comfortable.
I do not get car sick but at some point of the journey, I got a little dizzy. I guess the road is too hard for me to take.

Can you spot the Koala? Look close enough into the leaves.

The parrots are just fearless and the human head is probably their favourite resting place. My head felt a little ticklish with their little claws scratching upon my scalp.

First stop the Cumberland River. There's a lot of beautiful holiday villa and caravan along this river.
A great place to get in touch with nature.
Since it is beside the ocean, the wind is really strong, it is hard to get a nice picture without getting the hair all messed up.

We arrived the must-see attraction along the Great Ocean Road - The Twelve Apostles.
The Twelve Apostle, well not twelve now, is a limestone stack that is formed due to harsh weather and erosion.
The limestone stack stands strong and majestic at the Southern Ocean.

The Twelve Apostles.

After that, we drove west to witness the beautiful scenery of The Lord Ard Gorge and London Bridge
The Lord Ard Gorge.

Walked down to the beach for some great view and also photo sessions.

London Bridge.
The two rocks used to be connected until it dramatically collapsed in 1990.

Australia is a country with magnificent and beautiful natural attraction. Great Ocean Road is one of the most amazing I have seen. The natural landscape untouched and standing strong with glory just the epitome of Great.
The fierce rolling waves, the quiet forest and meadows, where tranquility meets power.
Definitely a worthy trip down the Great Ocean Road if you are visiting Melbourne. I would definitely take a trip down this road if I have another chance to visit Melbourne.
