Tiny haul

These are a few items that are picked up from the beauty store.
I mainly return to the beauty store for this Dior Addict Gloss. I had my eye on the gloss the moment I saw it from the clearance rack but did not pick them up since I was in a hurry.
After contemplating for quite some time, I decided to go back to pick it up and thank goodness it is still on the rack.

I am going to start off with swatching the lip pencils I picked up.

The star of this post.
The Dior Addict Gloss in Dormeuse.

Dormeuse is a soft baby pink shade. I am totally in love with this shade.

FOTD & EOTD : Birthday Lunch

It was my birthday lunch and I decided to do something different and more elaborate for my makeup look. So, today, I am going to share with you my makeup look.

Face:
L'oreal Sunscreen
Banila Co. Prime Primer in Hydrating Shimmer
Lunasol Water Cream Foundation in OC2
MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural
NYX Bronzer Daydream of Maui
Bourjois Blusher Rose D'or
Aliexpress ABH illuminator
MUFE Mist & Fix

Eyes :
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Pupa Vamp! Wet & Dry Eyeshadow in 201
NYX Ultra Pearl Mania in Mink Pearl
NYX Ultra Pearl Mania in Walnut Pearl
Aritaum Mono Eyes in #25 Dress Code
Maybelline Volum' Express Mascara in Brown
Mee Brightly Shine Eyeliner in Brown
Maybelline Brow Satin
Kiss Me Eyebrow Mascara
Ebay/Aliexpress Fake Eyelashes in 216

Lips :
Kylie Lip Kit in Posie K

My eyelash application is not the best, I am still trying.
These are the most natural fake eyelash I ever got from Ebay. I am so in love. These are 8mm long, they are more suited to Asian eyes. They are just the most natural design and length to give an extra "oomph" to the eyes without looking overmade. Too long and voluminous of a eyelash can look too heavy on the eye and make one too tired or sleepy. Should had used a black mascara because up close you could see the difference in colour between my real lashes and falsies.
I am so in love with the Lunasol Water Cream Foundation. It is a great foundation for dry skin, the finish is dewy, it is so lightweight and moisturizing and it does not cling on to my dry patches. It last long on my skin, about 10 hours wear without breaking up or fading.
I have been shopping my stash lately, and I found these NYX Ultra Pearl Mania which are probably ancient in makeup years. I do not know if anyone still remembers them. Love these eyeshadows, I just forgot how great they are. I just don't really use them because they are messy to work with. This is always the case with loose eyeshadows.

FOTD : Birthday look

It's my birthday yesterday and I am excited to share with you my birthday look.
By the way, I cut my hair to shoulder length and dyed it dark brown almost black because my hair was really damaged from the constant dyeing.

I call this the Autumn Burgundy Look. I got inspired by a Korean autumn look which I stumbled on youtube.

Face :
Banila Co. Prime Primer in Hydrating Shimmer
Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation
3CE Full Cover Concealer
MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural
H&M Bronzer in Sheer Tan
ELF Mineral Blush in Joy
Aliexpress ABH Illuminator

Eyes:
ELF Mineral Eye Primer
Pupa Vamp! Compact Eyeshadow in 201
Elianto Eyeshadow in Venus Brown
Divage Velvet Eyeshadow in 7315
Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner in Brown
Maybelline Volum' Express Hypercurl Mascara in Brown
Maybelline Brow Satin
KATE Eyebrow Mascara

Lips :
Innisfree Glossy Lip Lacquer in #6 Maple Burgundy Pink

While I was rummaging through my stash, I realized that I do not own many burgundy shades. The Innisfree Glossy Lip Lacquer is my only burgundy shade. This lip lacquer, I got it few autumns ago when burgundy makeup started to become a hit makeup look for autumn in Korea.
The Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation, I think I like this foundation. It blends out like a dream with my real technique sponge and it is lightweight.

Eating out Malaysia : Question Mark Cafe

There is a new cafe just near my area.
The other day, my friend wanted a good and nearby place for a photo session and she thought why not try out this cafe since I have not been to the cafe before.

For me the first thing, I look for in the cafe is good ambiance and then comes the food. A cafe is a place to hang out, catch up and chit chat, you definitely want a comfortable and beautiful place to hang out for quite some time. It's great if they add a touch of creativity or extra something to make their cafe stand out from the rest.

Food well no one wants to eat bad food. No matter how great the ambiance may be if the food is rubbish then the whole cafe is rubbish. Also, it would be great to add a touch of creativity to the food menu. Nowadays I find that many cafes have the same ol' menu. It's getting really old and this is the reason why I do not frequent cafes that often anymore.

The ambiance of Question Mark Cafe is not too bad. The design is very simple and clean, less is more. The design of cafe reminded me of the many cafes that I have visited, so design wise there is nothing that really stands out or individualistic about this cafe. Even so, if you are looking for a comfortable simple and clean looking place, this is a great place. The monochrome theme design is soothing to the eyes.

I am surprised at their menu though. There is definitely lots of selection of food from the menu rather than the ol' breakfast all day long menu selection. They have a special truffle menu. Would want to try that the next time I visit the cafe again.
My mother prepared dinner on that day so, I had to keep my stomach for dinner time.

Seafood Oglio Olio

It's my friend's order. She let me to taste and I would say it's not too bad.

Charcoal Crepe Cake

I find the cake nothing special. I felt the crepe piece to the a little rough, It was like munching on charcoal particles.

FOTD : Not neutral

It has been a long time since I posted a FOTD. I am still trying to find a great spot in my house to take my FOTDs.
So far, I think my balcony is the best spot.

Face :
Nature Republic Ice Jelly Primer in Melon
Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream
Catrice Camouflage Liquid Concealer
Dodo Palgantong Loose Powder
Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Rose Petal
Ebay Contour Powder Palette
Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Palette

Eyes :
ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer
Vivienne Sabo Eyeshadow Duo in 39
Maybelline Brow Satin
Kiss Me Eyebrow Mascara
Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Stringray
Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara

Lips :
Ebay NVX Liquid Lipstick in #7

I am actually loving the purple eyeshadow I am sporting in this FOTD. Purple gives a very feminine yet mysterious look and it is not over the top. I am a neutral or pinks gal but looks like I will purple a chance.
Ebay makeup has been working on me. They are not the best of quality but they do their job. I am liking the contour powder very much. The undertones are grey and ashy which is suitable for contour and It is very very subtle. I usually mix shades 3 and 4 together to contour. I do not touch the lighter shades mainly because I do not know how to use them.

Around Malaysia : Day Two, Malacca Trip

We woke up extremely early the next morning just for the famous chicken rice balls at Jonker Street. My friend told me it can get very packed and the queue can get very long so she suggested us to go at 7.30am.
Thank goodness when we arrived, the queue wasn't really long, we waited for about 15 minutes before we got our seats.

The queue wasn't bad at all which is surprising. Usually the queue is horrendous and the wait time can be up to an average of an hour.

Chicken rice balls for 4 people.

The serving size for the rice balls is not sufficient to go with the enormous amount of chicken. We find the chicken is way too much for four. They probably gave us a whole chicken.
I really like the chicken, it is tender and flavourful.

We paid MYR 60 for the meal with drinks.

Basically the whole morning and afternoon, we spent most of our time just strolling around Jonker Walk.

Strolling along the streets. We found a street that sells 2nd hand and antiques.

Another cafe we tried is The Baboon House. We are not allowed to take photos in the cafe thus there won't be any photo on the cafe at all.
The environment in the cafe is amazing. It's really serene and peaceful. It's an old run down garage with lots of trees and plants.
You are not allowed to make too much noise in the cafe, so we had to tone down.

On the food side, I would say the burgers are amazing. I am really impressed with it. The desserts are just okay, nothing too special. We ordered the sticky brownie with ice cream. The brownie is anything but sticky, we were quite disappointed by it.

We left back to Kuala Lumpur at 5.30pm via Melaka Sentral and that's how we ended our visit to Malacca.

Travel Diary in UK : London : Last Day

So, we have come to my last day in UK. We are back in London. We had to make our last day in London since we would be returning from Heathrow.
Since it was the last day in London, our plan is to carry out our own self activity and meet up at night at Tower of London.
On that day, I decided to wander around Oxford Street, Trafalgar Square and its surrounding areas.

I started out in Oxford Street where I spent most of my time shopping in Primark, Boots, Superdrug.
There was a sporadic rain at the moment, it was great that I was mostly indoors.

Then later in the afternoon, I took the tube to Charing Cross to explore the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square.

The weather was beautiful in the afternoon. The sky was so blue. It certainly does not look like winter, doesn't it.

Walking towards a bookstore opposite the road, Waterstones, I went to Costa which is located at the top floor for a nice cup of Caramel Macchiato to warm myself up for the later part of the afternoon.

Wandering around the Haymarket area.
Her Majesty's Theatre. Hoping to come back to London soon to catch a musical.

All I did was walking round and round the area and eventually stop by Tesco to grab myself some tea time snack. I think I walk for about 3-4 hours down the road. I don't even remember where I ended up.
At about 5pm, I left to Tower Hill for Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

The only photo I have with the Tower of London. I look pretty tragic over here but oh well...

Tower Bridge.

This sums up my UK travel in 2013. It is definitely a place I would come back to visit again and again.

Roseroseshop haul

This is my first time placing an order on Roseroseshop. I used to get my dose of Korean beauty products from Qoo10 but the shops that I used to shop has since then become inactive or they do not stock up on new products as fast as they used to anymore.

I did some calculations. Since I am getting whole ton of items including my mum's and sister's items. So, even with shipping, Roseroseshop still has the cheaper price.
I got so much stuffs that my parcel was so heavy that EMS was cheaper than normal shipping. With EMS, shipping is lightning speed fast. I placed my order today and within 2 days my order has arrived to my home.

I will post my portion of the haul, I am not going to include my mum's and sister's items or our shared items because mostly they are not very interesting items and the post will be too long then.
We are only interested in the makeup bit, aren't we?

You all just know I have an obsession with lip products.

Innisfree Smart Foundation.
As I know of, this foundation comes in 4 different types to cater to different needs. You can either use the foundation by itself or mix it with other foundations from the same line with different functions to create your perfect foundation.
I picked up the Water Balancing since I am all about moisturization and dewy finish.

The foundation size is half the size of a normal foundation at 15ml but I did not expect it to appear so tiny.
The price of this foundation is really affordable at 5500 Won. So even by mixing and matching, it doesn't hurt the wallet.

A'Pieu Silk Light Skin Ampoule Foundation.
I am going to admit that I bought this foundation because it was cheap and pretty. Also, a total reminiscence of the Dior serum foundation or L'oreal Nude Magique foundation. You know along the lines of the super watery foundations.

Innisfree Real Fluid Rouge in Ballerina Pink.
I like Innisfree lip products. They have a fair share of good lip products so I just thought that I pick up their Real Fluid Rouge to try out.
It really reminds me of the Dior Addict Fluid Stick which I really love.

Ballerina Pink is a soft girly pink.

The other Innisfree lip products I got are the Creammellow Lipstick.
The name just got me. It seems like the lipstick will be creamy smooth and marshmallow soft on the lips. Sounds really good right?

I picked up two shades which is #2 Vanilla Pink and #5 Sweet Peach Butter

#2 Vanilla Pink is a pinky nude.

#5 Sweet Peach Butter. I do not know why there's a peach in the name because honestly in real life, I could not see the peach in it at all.
It is a bright rosy pink.

Etude House Color in Liquid Lips.
I just can't stop myself from getting this. Look at the packaging, isn't it so cute?

They also really remind me of the Dior Addict Fluid Stick. Looks like every brand have their version of the fluid stick.

I got two shades which are PK 006 and BE 102.

BE 102 is a pinky beige nude.

PK 006 is a rosy pink.

Aritaum Sugarball Cushion Blusher in Posy Pink

This line of blushers comes with two versions, one is the velvet which is powder form and the cushion which is in cream form. I picked up the cushion because I just wanted another cream blush. Most of my blush are in powder form and I just thought of extending my cream blush collection. Cream blushers have a beautiful natural finish with a glow which is ideal for those seeking the dewy natural look. Also, Aritaum is a good budget Korean brand. I have some items from this brand and so far they work well on me.

It comes with a sponge which can be neat but I doubt I will ever apply cream blusher with a sponge.

Around Malaysia : Day one, Malacca Trip

My college mates and I have been planning for this trip for some time ever since one of college bestie who studies in Malacca had invited us to head down to the town to hang out. This trip is mainly very food focused.

On the morning, we headed down to Malacca by bus and it was a quick 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur . We took the 9.30am bus and we arrived at 11.30am. The bus was on schedule.
Our friend picked us up from Melaka Sentral which is the main bus station in Malacca.

Our first stop is Jonker 88.
This shop is famous for their traditional Baba & Nyonya style cendol with lots of palm sugar.
The shop is really packed and it doesn't help when it has a self service concept. It means if you are aren't quick or mean enough, you might never ever get a seat.

Baba Laksa. Three of my friends actually ordered this.
I am on the only odd one who ordered Nyonya Assam Laksa. Well, I just love Assam Laksa way more than Curry Laksa.
I can't have too much coconut milk in one sitting because I might end up with a stomach upset instead. The cendol is already loaded with coconut milk.

This is my order. The Nyonya Assam Laksa.
Well, ofcourse the Assam Laksa can't be compared with the oh so famous Penang Assam Laksa but still, it's decent.

The best part is ofcourse the Baba Cendol, drizzled with lots of palm sugar. A hot day always calls for cendol.

It was literally burning hot outside that day.

Next, we headed a few stores down for the durian puff. My friend insisted on this because she likes it.
One shot all in?
Apparently if you have it one shot into your mouth, it will get really messy with the durian custrad filling oozing all over.

This is me, trying so hard to get the whole puff into my mouth. This puff are not very bite size.

Loving all these cute Chinese-y decorated shop lots.

After all the food, we went to check into our apartment and have some rest since the weather was too hot on that day.

Later in the evening, we headed down to Klebang for some famous coconut shake.

Special coconut shake.

For dinner, we went to the Portuguese Settlement for Portuguese food.
Kangkung Belacan

Calamari Fritters

Portuguese baked fish

This is how we spent our first day in Malacca.

Hiking my new hobby?

Is hiking my new hobby?
Of late, an old friend of mine always invite me for hiking with her husband and gang. It has been quite a weekend routine for me.

Hiking is a great workout. It packs fun and adventure.
Hiking burns tons of calories. Also, the longer and harder your hiking trail, the more you burn. It's great for weight loss and at the same time it strengthens lots of muscles, especially the lower body muscle. If you think you are only working quads and glutes for hiking. You are so wrong. It works the core too. I can definitely feel my core working especially on steeper incline.

There are lots of greenery along the hiking trail in my country. It's very refreshing and calm. A great way to take an off from the busy life of the city.

Hello October

October has come and it's my favourite month because it's my birthday month.
This year, I am pretty glad that I am able to celebrate my birthday with my parents after being away for 6 years.

birthday wishlist

My birthday wishlist this year.

It's kinda strange that I didn't wish for more makeup. There's only four makeup item in my wishlist. Usually, It's way more. Just look back at my old wishlists. Instead, I am more in skincare right now.
It might be because I am hitting quarter age and I am starting to realize how important it is to take care of my skin. Also, I can feel that my skin condition has been changing and it's pretty much high time to invest on skincare.

For cosmetics, I have been wanting these four items
1) Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundatiom
2) Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Seduce
3) Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Antique Rose
4) Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Backtalk
