Around Moscow : Husky sleigh

During the heavy snow season, we went for the husky sleigh.
It is not easy to find a husky sleigh in Moscow city. Most of it are located in the Moscow outskirts. With much luck we found one near the city, it is located in Kuzminsky park south east of Moscow.

On the way to Kuzminsky park. We stopped by outside the park to take some winter photos and also snow fights.
Everywhere was covered in thick fluffy snow. It looks like a winter wonderland.

The little cottage to keep ourselves warm during the husky sleigh. The host had also offered us hot drinks to warm ourselves up before the ride.
There were 9 of us, so we had to group ourselves into 5 groups. It was allowed a maximum of 2 person per sleigh as long the total does not exceed 150kgs.

So, if it is too cold before or after the ride. Hop into the cottage and keep yourself warm with the coal heater and hot tea.

The notorious cat in the cottage. This cat is one fearless cat.

One of my friend just enjoy annoying this cat to death.

Here comes the fun part.
I had the chance to sit on the sleigh and also run the sleigh. It was really fun, especially the running part, although I was so afraid I might miss a step and the sleigh goes off without me.

Getting to know the huskies. They are all really friendly and tame, also really gorgeous creatures.

After the sleigh, we were allowed into the huskies' den to get to know and play around with the huskies. There were atleast 15 huskies.

Heterochromia husky

I was really cold on that day, about -14 degree Celcius. My feet and fingers were frozen despite really the thickest gloves and socks I ever owned.

Mini haul : Shiseido

Isetan at Lot 10 had a closing down sale on some brands. I went to Isetan with my friend on my last day in Malaysia last summer just to found out Shiseido had a 50% off all products.
Sadly, there were many products that I wanted to try has been sold out. I have just managed to purchase an item from the sale for myself.
This is also my first item from Maquillage. I just don't pay much attention to Shiseido because I have an impression they are mummy's makeup brand which is kind of sad because they do have a lot of gems within their collections.  Don't know how did I get such an impression, maybe because Asian mums loves and swears by Shiseido products.

Shiseido Maquillage Essence Glamorous Rouge Neo in PK452. It is a limited edition shade.

The Essence Glamourous Rouge Neo is said to be a liquid lipstick, For me it functions more like a hybrid liquid lipstick as of Dior Addict Fluid Stick. Just It has more  moisturizing properties infused within it and a slightly different texture. This appears to be gel-like which is feels really comfortable and hydrating on the lips.

The packaging is really cute with the diamond shaped cut of the tube.

It is just unfortunate many shades were sold out. I mean its 50% off, items would be flying off the racks in a snap. I would have gotten more items if I was early for the sale.
It was just unfortunate that I did not realize this sale earlier, if not, I would be trying out more Maquillage items.

Around Moscow : Snowboard

Snowboarding. We had this in our plan for quite some time but we never managed because of either busy schedule or the weather.
This time, we managed to find time to snowboard.

We had done some research of places to snowboard in Moscow city and we found out a place that we can snowboard for free - KANT Sports center. All you need is just to have your own equipments.
It is located at Nagornaya metro station.

So, for the snowboard gears, waterproof pants, we rented it from a small shop located in Akademicheskaya. It is cheaper to rent it there rather than from the sports center itself.

It was my first time snowboarding.

It took me about an hour to learn how to control my snowboard. I fell many times even at the end of the day I was still tumbling down the slopes but I have learnt the basics of controlling the snowboard.

The hardest part is actually standing up and climbing up the slopes.

We snowboarded for about 5 hours.
It was definitely tiring. We were all flat by that time. All we wanted is just to rest and have dinner.

Even so, we had a enjoyable time.

Around Moscow : Skating VDNKH

VDNKH is where the main skating ring is located. The ring usually opens from November till mid March.
It is the biggest outdoor skating ring in Moscow. There's a lot to see while skating around the rink, there are decorations and food kiosk and also restaurants around the rink.
There are also places to take a sit if you are too tired.

We managed to visit the ring before it closes for good.
There are not many pictures since I am a beginner skater, it is hard for me to take pictures and balance at the same time.

To skate, it cost 550 rubles on weekends with 1000 rubles deposit.

The day we went, it rained the day prior.
So, the ice was not at its best condition. The ice at the entrance to the rink was alright but as we skate deeper into the rink, the ice is a little bumpy and there are some wet spots and even a pit!

I got stucked in a pit and a stranger had to pull me out from it.

Always make sure the skating boots are tight enough to have control of the boots.
This is what I have learned since my first skating experience.
My shoe size is 36 for skating boots. That is one size smaller than my usual shoe size.

I love to watch figure skating like A LOT but I can't skate to save my life.

Lacing up my boots. Took me about 15 minutes to get them right.

Tiny Events #15

I can't believe how close am I to graduating. I am left with a few weeks before I end my semester. This is crazy.

As of how classes has been going. It has been pretty tiring. I am not having the most relaxing of cycles but life has been still manageable. Mostly during the weekdays my schedule is repetitive. Only the weekends, I would have time to myself but I spent most of the time lazing around since I am too exhausted because of the weekdays' workload.

Last weekend I spent my whole weekend watching Figure Skating World Championship. Bless my landlord who provided us TV and cable channels. Imagine those days I would have to livestream the heck out of everything in the hostel and when the internet snaps, it's gone case.

These few days I have been sick. I have been hit with a bad cold. I am constantly coughing and my runny nose is not under control. I did a X-ray check up for my university documentation and the doctor was like looks like you have bronchitis and I was like no surprise, I am having flu and it is bad. I have been controlling my cold with nasal drops and water intake.
My cold usually last about 2-3 weeks. I hope I recover as soon as possible.

It has been a joy baking and I have been baking non-stop.
This is my second try for cinnamon rolls and they are tasty enough for me. Must better than the first time where the rolls end up hard and dry and lack of cinnamon filling.
Instead of using cream cheese or coffee glaze to top off my rolls, I used condensed milk because I was lazy but it turned out nice too.

I also had made my own Kachapuri for the first time.
The last time I went to a Georgian restaurant and tried Kachapuri, I fell in love with this bread and I was determined to make one for myself.
I did not use as much butter as needed because I do not want to clog the arteries of those who are going to eat it including myself. I still need to improve on my kachapuri recipe. This time, I made the dough too thick and put in too little cheese. So on the thicker parts, all you can eat is just the bread which is not really nice. The next time, I am going all out and stuff it with cheese to death.
The cheese I used is Suluguni. It is a type of Georgian cheese.

I booked my flight the other day to London. So it is confirmed that I will be going to London before the start of July. I really miss London and I am so glad I am able to go back there one more time before heading back to Asia.
There is just so many things I miss about London. I miss the atmosphere, roaming down the streets , having a nice cup of tea with delicious scones, Mark and Spencer. Let me tell you, I enjoy Mark and Spencer food. I love their scones, salads, pastries. So affordable and delicious.
I am saving some money this time around so I could shop till I drop (maybe not..) in Selfridges , Boots and Superdrug. I am compiling my long wishlist. I am looking forward to get some items from Charlotte Tilbury, Tanya Burr, Sleek and Zoeva. Hopefully I have enough money then since there is so many things that I want.

It is a shame that eversince Sephora took over Luxola, the prices of Zoeva has gone up so drastically. It is off putting. So, one of my choices now is to get it in Selfridges where they have a full display of Zoeva items.
Even in Germany, only the basic brushes are available on display in Douglas. The rest, you have to purchase online. Such a shame, if not I would had gotten everything when I was in Munich.
I want the new blush palette and the Cocoa Blend Palette.

The YSL Encre de Peau Blushers are finally here in Moscow. I kind of want them because they are like gel blushers but I do not know if I will get them. I will go and play around with the testers before I decide.

Drugstore haul : Maybelline and Boujois

Just hit the beauty store real quick the other day and picked up a few items that were on sale.

Maybelline Dream Satin Fluid

Never had much luck using Maybelline's foundation. When I use to used their foundations about 4-5 years ago, I always find them to be too pink or orange on my skin or they just look bad on me.
With the Maybelline Dream Satin Fluid on sale, I just wanted to give Maybelline another try and wish that this foundation would work on me.
From the swatches the shade seems a good match for me and the texture is really light.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creme de Nude

This is one of their new matte shades collection released here. The reason getting this is because it is said to be a great dupe to the MAC Paint Pots.

Creme de Nude is a yellow nude shade.
It is good eyeshadow base shade for someone of my skintone.

The Bourjois little pot blushers are on sale. I was so thrilled to find them more than half price off.
These are one of my favourite drugstore blushers and I have been collecting them with every chance I have.

This time I picked up two extra shades.

The first one being Ambre D'or

Ambre D'or is a true peach shade with gold shimmers

Rose Eclat

Rose Eclat is a matte rose shade

Drugstore haul : Bourjois, Pupa, Essence, Catrice, Art Deco

There are a few new releases that I wanted to try from Essence and Catrice. The other day I went to the other outlet of the beauty store and saw that they had stock for some items that weren't in stock in the outlet which I always go to. Besides that, they had a stand dedicated to Art Deco, which I picked up a few products from.

No make up feel foundation? I am all up for it. I am one of those girls who doesn't like thick foundation, the more natural and lighter the better.
When Essence launched a no makeup feel foundation, I am all for it.

This product was not in stock when I visited the beauty store I usually go to, but when I saw that it is in stock at the other outlet, I went ahead and grabbed it.

My shade is 10 pure beige and in MAC I am about a NC15- NC20. This fits me quite right from the swatches. Can't wait to try this foundation out.

Another foundation I picked up is from the brand PUPA. This brand is not really well known in the beauty community since they are not easy to get hold of. I am just fortunate that PUPA is really widely available over here.
So far, I have tried a few products from PUPA and I like them. They are really good quality drugstore products.

This time I just wanted to try a foundation from them so I picked up this PUPA Active Light Foundation.

I always like a luminous finish for my foundation compared to matte. So it is no brainer that I went for this foundation. Sign me in for anything that says luminous, dewy, light activating, light reflecting.

The name, Liquid Camouflage, High Coverage and Waterproof, just intrigued me.
It was just calling for me, I had to pick it up.
I hope this will work as a really good undereye concealer for me.

I bought this shade from Bourjois again because I love this shade.
When I was doing my blush routine I somehow just miss using this blush from Bourjois. Bourjois definitely have the best powder blushers in the drugstore market. They are so soft, pigmented and long lasting.
This shade Rose D'or is gorgeous, it is a medium pink with gold flecks. It gives the cheeks a beautiful blush with some highlight.

I did a swatch and short review on this shade before, you can check it out here

Up to this point of the post, I guess you could already see that I like my products to have an illuminating finish.
I picked up the Catrice Illuminating Blush in 030 Kiss Me Ken. It is a mix of a light and deep berry pink shade with silver glitters.

A closer look at the blush, you can really see the glitters from here.

The last items I picked up are three eyeshadows from Art Deco.
I have used Art Deco eyeshadows before and I do enjoy using them. They have a wide range of eyeshadows, I kid you not.
When I went to the stand, I saw like a ton loads of eyeshadows to choose from and I was having a tough time narrowing down my shade selections.

373 Glam Gold Dust
It is under the Glamour finish. I do not know what that means, but I am just gonna assume it means lots of glitter.
As you can see from the pan, the eyeshadow is loaded with gold glitters.

578 Matt Smoky Mauve.
The matte line from Art Deco are gorgeous. They are so pigmented upon swatching.
This shade like its name is a plummy brown shade.

18 Light Misty Wood.
This is a pearl finish. It is a beautiful shimmery cool toned brown.

That's all for the items that I have hauled this time.
