Haul : Chanel, Pupa and Brushes

I have lusting over the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel for quite some time. This product is not available in Malaysia. So, if I want it, I have to pick it up before I head home.
At the same time, I have picked up a few knicks and knacks.

The first item I got is a makeup brush for the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel bronzer. The Soleil Tan de Chanel is a cream bronzer and it requires a denser brush to work with it. My current bronzer brush is flimsy since all this time, I have been using powder bronzers.

Yves Rocher Bronzing Brush

I went into a few shops in search for the perfect bronzing brush and finally I have found it in Yves Rocher. Yves Rocher is not a brand I usually go for their makeup items, for me, they are better in the body care and skincare department.
I was pleasantly surprised to find them carrying a good line of makeup brushes. Not very extensive but a good line of basic makeup brushes.

This brush is a small dense dome shaped brush which is great for blending in cream product and the size is perfect for the hollows of the cheeks. Not to mention it is very soft too.

Pupa Vamp! Compact Eyeshadow in 201.

I really like Pupa makeup products. They are not very well known in the beauty community since they are hard to come by and not many countries carry this brand.
They have many great quality makeup items.

I love their eyeshadows, they are extremely smooth, buttery and pigmented.

201 is a salmon shade.

Last but not least, is the item I have been wanting to get for a long time. The Soleil Tan de Chanel.

I am so happy that I finally took the plunge and got it.

The bronzer is huge. It comes with 30g of product.
This product can seem really expensive but if you do the math, it does not seem to be all that expensive compared to most bronzers in the high end market. Even more, this product could last you for a very long time even using it on a daily basis because a little goes a long way.  Did not regret buying this at all.

The packaging is so sleek and Chanel with the glossy black lid and gold trimmed Chanel sign.

Makeup Ban

I think I need to be on a makeup ban after going through my makeup collection. I just have too many products that I buy for the sake of getting and ending up not using them at all.
Now being like on quarter age, I can't burn money on makeup just like that. I need to save money for my future and on bills and other necessities.

I know it is going to hard on me since I follow like so many beauty blogs and watch so many youtube videos.
Hopefully I can survive this.

Of late, I have realizing the change in my spending habits on makeup. I do not binge buy on drugstore products anymore. Instead, I would save money and spend on a good quality high end products, which I would find myself going to and using it diligently.
So, my purchase rate my decreased compared to how I used to spend on makeup few years ago. I would just go to the drugstore and impulse buy because it is cheap.
I am happy with this habit and I would want it to stay.

I will start off with a one month no makeup buy starting mid Sept after I am back from my Thailand trip. My Thailand trip will be my last haul for a month.

From now on, my haul post will be consisting of my backdated hauls.

FOTD : Pink & Leather

FOTD breakdown :
Face :
Nakeup Face Waterking Cover Cushion
Catrice Camouflage Liquid Concealer
ELF Mineral Booster
Milani Bronzer
MAC Soft & Gentle Highligter
Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Rose Petal

Eyes :
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creme de Nude
Divage Velvet Eyeshadow in 3709
The Balm Shady Lady Eyeshadow in Mischievious Marissa
Art Deco Eyeshadow in 578
Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner in Brown
Max Factor 2000 Calories Mascara
Maybelline Hyper Curl Cat Eyes Mascara
Maybelline Brow Satin
Kiss Me Eyebrow Mascara

Lips :
Innisfree Vivid Tint Rouge in #8

It is the first time using the Nakeup Face Waterking Cover Cushion. This cushion has really really good coverage, it hides almost everything. The coverage leans to medium to full. I do not favour too much of a coverage as it can end up looking mask like, I would apply this cover cushion in small amounts and puff it loads to blend it into my skin. The problem with super moisturizing cushion foundation/bb is that it doesn't really set really well. It can wipe off with a swipe. Even as a person with dry skin, I still find this as a problem with this cushion. I had to use more powder than usual to set the cushion down. In the end of the day, the cushion settled down a little on my smile lines. I always have problem with my smile lines.
So, this is my first impression on the cushion.

FOTD : another simple one

Another simple and repetitive FOTD. The only thing I have been switching up is my lip colour.

Face:
Maybelline Dream Satin Fluid
Catrice Camouflage High Coverage Concealer
Catrice Matt Plus Pressed Powder
Daiso Pink Blush
Flormar Terracotta Powder in Dual Gold
Essence Soooo Glow Highlighter in 010

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creme de Nude
Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette
Rimmel Scandal'eyes Liquid Eyeliner
Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara
Maybelline Brow Satin
Kiss Me Eyebrow Mascara

Lips :
Maybelline Extreme Moisture Lipstick in Pinky Beige

The Maybelline Extreme Moisture Lipstick is one of my favourite lipstick ranges in the drugstore. They feel very luxurious on the lips for a fraction of the luxury brand's lipsticks prices. They are very smooth and balmy.

Haul : Nouba liquid lipsticks

The beauty store had an offer on a liquid lipstick which brand I have never heard before. Liquid lipstick is all the hype in the beauty community right now. So, I have decided to pick up a few to try out.

I did some research on the brand "Nouba"but there is not much information on it online.
It is an Italian professional makeup brand.

The liquid lipstick comes with a good selection of 25 shades.

I picked up three shades from the collection. The shades come in numbers, there is no names for each shade.

The shades I got are 20, 24 and 40.

From left : 20, 24 and 40

From top :40, 20 and 24

40 is a berry pink shade.
20 is a warm pink shade
24 is a plum pink shade.

These liquid lipstick are sure long lasting and they do dry matte. I like the fact that they are really light on the lips and they do not dry the lips out at all. The only bad thing is that they are not transfer proof. Normally these are priced at 1299 Rubles or so which around USD20. Pretty much up high with most liquid lipstick prices which can be quite an amount of money to splurge on a liquid lipstick.
I got these at 50% off.

FOTD : Graduation makeup

I didn't manage to get a good shot of my graduation look but anyway I still want to share my graduation makeup look.

Let me share the breakdown of the products I have used in this look.

Face :
Banila Co. Prime Primer in Hydrating Shimmer
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Gobi
3CE Waterful Concealer
MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural in Medium
MAC Blush in Dame
Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Palette
H&M Bronzer in Sheer Tan
MUFE Mist & Fix

Eyes :
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Palette
DollyWink Liquid Eyeliner
Bourjois Volume 1 Second Mascara
Taiwanese false eyelashes

Lips :
Dior Fluid Stick in Kiss Me

The NARS Sheer Glow has still have to be one of most treasured and favourite high end foundation. With the Banila Co. Prime Primer and MUFE Mist & Fix, it worked wonders. I had the foundation from 7am in the morning and till 10pm at night the foundation still stayed on fresh and beautiful. It is amazing!

About the Violet Voss Pro Highlighting palette, it is good, not my fave but still good. The highlighters are pigmented but there is a lot of fall outs. Not repurchase material.
H&M Bronzer is great, I am just very impressed with H&M makeup.

Eating out Moscow : I Love Cake

I Love Cake is a small cafe where like its name offers a great selection of cakes, breakfast menu and variety of hot drinks.
It can definitely get very crowded during the weekends. So, it is best to go in a small group or opt for a reserve if you are going with a big group.

The prices for the cakes can be slightly pricey but the cakes are one of its kind and they are served in a generous portion. For breakfast menu, I find them to be quite okay. I do like the pancakes though, very delicious.
I will posting pictures of the food and not much of reviews since most of them are not mine. They are all decorated so beautifully, it is a shame not to share pictures of the foods.

Nutella latte

Pistachio latte

Toast with Ruccola, poached egg, salmon and tomatoes.
This is what I called. Definitely cannot go wrong with poached egg and salmon even so I feel like it is something that I could make, so it is not very special.
I am just being very nit picky. It is still a  hearty meal.

Blueberry pancake.
Oh my, this is delicious. This is my friend's but I got to taste a little. They are very generous with the blueberries. You could tell there's blueberries in the pancake batter. The blueberry yogurt sauce is awesome too.

Parfaits

Scrambled egg with prawns and Hollandaise sauce

Lots of cakes.
I love the pecan cake. I think it is called the "Superman" cake.

Travel Diary in UK : Birmingham : A day in Birmingham

We stayed in the backpackers hostel in Birmingham. It was pretty hard searching for hostels in Birmingham, so this is our only choice.
The deco for the main hall is pretty but the rooms are average. The double deckers aren't comfy at all and the rooms look dirty.

Free breakfast is included with this hostel. They provide bread and spread, milk, cereal, you know the drill.

Heading out to the city center for some shopping.

We head to the market for some cheap souvenir shopping.

In the meantime, this is what me and my friend got. Some cheap watches.
Despite being 2 pounds, this watch is still functioning till this very day.

The famous bullring for more shopping.

I got some Cath Kidston for myself from Selfridges.
I got myself a passport cover and also a bag. It was a good deal after the student discounts.

I shop way less than I expected. I just got the Cath Kidston items. That is all.
I would have thought that I might be breaking the bank with my shopping.

Eating out Malaysia : Ben's

This cafe has been in the food scene in Malaysia for quite some time. I was introduced to this cafe by a friend who likes their Mac n Cheese.
From them, I visit this place once awhile for some Mac n Cheese fix.

The ambiance is great. It is nice place to sit down and relax and chit chat all day long (when it's not lunch hour). The service and environment can get chaotic during lunch hour.
I usually visit this cafe during the weekends or after lunch which is about 3-4pm.

This time around, I brought my mum and sis to try out this cafe.

Mac n Cheese
I like the crunchy cheese topping but sometimes it can get too cheesy and it would get too much before you could finish the whole plate. I never once finish the whole plate.

My sister ordered the hot chocolate. It's pretty decent.

She ordered the chicken pie too. It's pretty nice.

My mum loves quiche so she got a mushroom quiche.
I quite like the quiche, I might get a quiche the next time I visit.

Despite many complains about the service of this cafe, my experience with the service was decent. It might be because I visited the cafe during the weekends where there wasn't many people.

The price for 3 person was slightly over RM100 which is the norm for cafe prices.

FOTD : The actual graduation photosession

Can't believe it is the actual day of photo session. How close am I to graduating. So unbelievable.
I will post about the photoshoot some other day when I get hold of the rest of the photos.
Now let's go with the FOTD.

Face : Nivea Men Post-Shave Balm, Chanel Mat Lumiere Foundation, Catrice Camouflage Liquid Concealer, MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural, Catrice Lip and Cheek in Pickled Cherry Blossom, Flormar Terracotta Powder in Dual Gold, Topshop Glow Stick, MUFE Mist and Fix

Eyes : Art Deco Single Eyeshadow in 578, Catrice Absolute Nude Eye Palette, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creme de Nude, Essence I love Nude Eyeshadow in Coffee Bean, Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner in Brown, L'oreal Volumissime x4 Mascara, Maybelline Brow Satin, Kiss Me Eyebrow Mascara

Lips : Nouba Millebaci #20

Since it is a photoshoot, I went with more steps with my makeup by using a makeup setting mist and also, the Maybelline Color Tattoo as an eyeshadow primer. The shade Creme de Nude matches my skintone quite well, it makes a great base colour. The Color Tattoo works very well as an eyeshadow primer, I would say it is as good as my Urban Decay or Too Faced for less than than half of the price. Definitely a new found love.
The Nouba Millebaci is also a new item in my makeup collection. I got it when it was on sale.
It is a matte liquid lipstick. So far, I would say the liquid lipstick in good, it feels like nothing on the lips, very lightweight. But, they are not transfer proof, they transfer slightly.
At the end of the day, I am still left with the lip colour but it crumbled a little but overall still looking good.

Back home

I am back in Malaysia. Home sweet home, at last.

It feels so good to be at the comfort of ones home but at the same, I am starting to miss Moscow. I guess it is hard not to miss a place that you have been for six years.

It will be a busy week settling my stuffs over here but soon, I will be back kicking on this blog.

Oh my gosh, I did not know I got so many stuffs online because now, my room is filled with parcels. Who is excited for a haul post. It will be a huge haul post and I will separate them into few post.

Since, I will be having more time at home while waiting for a job, I will be posting all of my backdated hauls and travel diaries. Stay tune.
