Sunday walk in the park

Good day to all the lovelies out there.

Last weened, I had a walk around the city since I had a long holiday.  Weather forecast was predicting that it was going to rain but somehow the weather took a better turn, it was sunny all day and the weather was temperate.

A FOTD outdoors.
By the way the lipstick I am using is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss in 101. I got to say, I really love this colour.

OOTD

Top : Sweat shirt is from Primark, inside blouse is from one of the clothes shop in Berjaya Times Square
Jeans is from Zara
Shoes is from Isetan
Shopping bag is from Primark.

I am along the Moscow River. Behind me is the Vorovyery Gory Metro Station which you can use to get to the park.

Along this river there are cruises. You could take a cruise along this river for about 1.5 hours - 2.5 hours depending on which cruise service you opt and enjoy the view along the Moscow River in Spring till Autumn.

I am wearing my trench coat here as it was still the morning and the weather was still partly cloudy and the wind was strong.

We had a picnic along the river, here are the foods I made.

Pajeon ( Korean pancake with spring onions)

Rabokki ( Ramen and Korean rice cakes dish)

After a hearty meal, we headed to heart of Moscow, Kremlin.
It was 2 days after the Victory Day celebration. There were a lot of people walking along the park there.

I headed to Alexander Garden where the Eternal Flame is located.

There were a lot of flowers honoured for the soldiers who perished in the war.
Can you see the mountain of flowers and even that day, 2 days after the celebration, there were more people bringing flowers to offer.

The Eternal Flame (My camera wasn't able to capture the flame).

That is actually a shopping mall, the shopping mall is located underground.

After everything, we headed to Arbat Street to get some Tutti Frutti!

Salted caramel and blueberry cheesecake.

Finally I could try some Tutti Frutti for myself.

Fooling around in Arbat Street!

FOTD : Simple spring look

As usual I have been really simple with my makeup look. This makeup look suits me the most, I am pretty contended with it, so I haven't been experimenting with other makeup styles.I just have been switching makeup products here and there at most.

Face :
Nature Republic Vanilla Sky Base
Laneige Cushion BB
MAC Mineralised Skin Finish Natural
Garnier 2 in 1 BB Corrector
Essence Me and My Ice Cream Cream Blush
ELF Radiance Enhancer in Spotlight

Eyes :
Maybelline Gel Eyeliner
Maybelline theMagnum Mascara
Catrice Absolute Nudes Palette

Lips :
Divage lipstick in 3612

The makeup is taken after 5-6 hours in Tutti Frutti.

Tutti Frutti has just reached the shores of Russland!
I love some Tutti Frutti but the prices of Tutti Frutti over here is so overpriced compared to at home. Heh?
I guess I won't come here often then and I have to wait till I go home during Summer holidays before I could feast on them.

Frozen Yogurt galore!

Sadly these aren't mine.

If you visit Russia, Tutti Frutti is located at Arbat Street. You could take the Moscow Metro, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line (Dark Blue), to Arbatskaya stop and it will take you to Arbat street.

Pink Kiss : Lipstick haul - Rimmel & Bourjois

I went overboard with hauls this month, there are too many deals going on of late which I can't resist. Rive Gauche - a beauty outlet in Russia, it is somewhat like a Sephora, they carry high-end and also drugstore cosmetic brands, skincare, perfumes etc. is having a 3 for 2 for Maybelline and L'oreal and also nice deals on Rimmel lip products. They have a 30% off all Lumene Natural Code cosmetics.
All these deals are making me go crazy!

I couldn't resist and pick those Rimmel lip products. They are marked down to such an affordable price!
I haven't check out the Maybelline and L'oreal counter yet but I am going to check it out before the deal ends at the end of the month.

I picked up four Rimmel lipsticks and one Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick.

I went crazy with Rimmel lipsticks but can't be helped, they were marked down to be irresistible price.
I had to control myself not to hoard the whole Rimmel stand.

I have been also eyeing the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet. I have went to stand to take a look a couple of times but didn't pick it up until today because honestly the price is a little steep for a drugstore product but oh boy! what I experience from them just changed my mind.

Rimmel lasting finish by Kate Moss in 28

28 is the new colour available for the lasting finish lipstick by Kate Moss.
If I am not mistaken, there were 5 new colours added to the range.

28 is a warm pink tone with a satin finish. It is slighly metallic looking in the tube but when applied it finishes satin.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte in 101

I have been eyeing on this lipstick for the longest time. I have been wanting to get it but I keep putting off hoping there's an offer for it.
I am glad I waited because now the whole line is on sale! Ofcourse, I have to pick it up!

101 is a pale, blue-toned pink.

It is one of those girly pink shades that compliments fair skintones. A lot of people it is quite comparable to MAC's Snob in terms of shade but slightly darker.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks

I picked up Airy Fairy and Undressed.

Airy Fairy is one of the most popular Rimmel shades.
Down the memory lane, Airy Fairy is one of the first Rimmel lipsticks I've ever picked up when I heard how much Xteeener likes this lipstick. During that time, Rimmel hasn't pulled out from Malaysia.
Now if I want any Rimmel product, I have to hoard it all from here. It's really sad.

and here, this is a crappy picture of it taken with my old phone when I first got it.  It was still in the old packaging. So much memory.

Airy Fairy is a pinky-mauve nude with a gold sheen. It is one of the most unique and beautiful shade of pink I've ever seen and I have never seen any colour like it.
Airy Fairy is a MLBB shade on my pale lips and on my skintone. It is very flattering, this is one of the shades I always go back to.
I bought this as a back up.

Undressed is a brown nude with peachy undertones.
It is another one of those pretty nudes that doesn't wash me away. I thought it is another great nude to add to my collection of nudes.

I have a love affair with Rimmel lipsticks, not only they have a great shades selection, they also have an affordable price tag. I always go back for more.
I am still wondering are there still any shades I should pick up before the deal ends.

This is the star product of the purchase.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick.

Just let me rave about this product. This is like the best matte liquid lipstick I have ever tried .The texture is so fluffy and lightweight, it feels like cotton puff when applied to the lips. The lipstick dries down It feels like silk on the lips.
It is does not dry out the lips at all despite being a matte formula. Pigmentation wise, it is VERY pigmented, one swipe will do. Long lastingness, it last the whole day but around 8 hours or so it starts to fade very little, basically this lipstick does not budge at all. Removing it can be a pain, I had to soak my cotton pad in so much remover before I could remove all of it, even that it still stains a little.
Even the swatches I swatched on my hand, they refuse to budge eventhough I have used soap to get them off and also Micellar water.

The colour I choose is Pink Pong. It is a blue toned fuchsia. Very loud definitely not for the faint of heart but it can be applied lightly and looks like a pretty hot pink tint.

Here are the swatches on my hand.
From left : Pink Pong, Nude-ist, Frambourjois, Peach Club.

I have my eye on Nude-ist, I really like the colour, it is a muted rosewood colour. I think it is the most day friendly colour among the bunch.

Overall, I really recommend the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks. They are worth every penny.
If you have a Bourjois counter near you, you better check them out.

Little miss shopaholic : Essence & Maybelline haul

It's spring but the weather is temperamental over. One moment it's snowing, the next it's raining and next it's sunny back and the cycle repeats. Mother Nature is on PMS!
Even the flowers decided to call for an emergency and wilted.

Anyway, this is going to be a haul post. Yes, another haul post.
I just have been going very shopping crazy of late, it's just like the shopping bug hit me hard.

Last month I accumulated enough points on my beauty card. So, I thought it would be great to do some hauling this month since it's spring, when everyone is more in the mood to dress up , get all pretty with the great weather.
I visited the beauty supply store twice, so I am going to combine both of the haul into one.

These are the items I picked up from the store. I am a lippie person that's why there's so many lippies.

First, I picked up two lipsticks from Maybelline.

The Stripped Nudes Collection or in the US you all call it "The Buffs" has arrived in Russland!
I was so excited when I saw the stand in the beauty store and I went to swatch the lighter shades out.
After trying out the colours, I picked up 'Brazen Beige', I wanted to pick up 'Tantalizing Taupe' too but sadly it was all sold out.
The lighest shade 'Sultry Sand' was too concealer-like for me, I didn't like it as I knew the colour is going to wash me out terribly.
'Tantalizing Taupe' is a brown nudewith pinky undertones that will suit light-medium skintone perfectly. I am so sad that it is out of stock! Well, I guess I need to do some searching around to get hold of this colour.

Before I start talking about the shade 'Brazen Beige' which I ended up picking up.
Let me talk about the packaging, I can't be the only one loving the nude lipstick case. I find it so chic!

'Brazen Beige' is a peachy nude. The shade is between Sultry Sand and Tantalizing Taupe. It is a very beautiful nude on my skintone.

I picked up another Maybelline Moisture Extreme Collagen Lipstick. This one is in Windsor Rose.

I really love the formula of these lipsticks. It's really hydrating and it has a beautiful luxurious feel for a cheap price tag.
Windsor Rose is a cool-toned dusty pink rose colour, very gorgeous. This colour has been out of stock in beauty store for some time, I am glad to see it back in stores.

The next batch of haul is pretty much an Essence haul.

Let's start with the least interesting item.
Essence Colour & Go Nail Polish in Grey-t to be here!

Grey-t to be here is a cream grey with pink shimmers. I find this shade extremely flattering on my skintone and the pink shimmers gives an extra 'oomph' to the grey. It makes this shade more unique and cute.

I found this in the discount bin with a great price, such a steal. To be in the discount bin, I guess it's discontinued then, that is really sad because this colour, is such a pretty shade.
I like the brand Essence, they offer a lot of great cosmetics for such a cheap pricetag but what irks me the most is that they discontinue items faster than lightning.

I picked up another Essence Metal Glam eyeshadow. I love these eyeshadows, they have a great velvety texture , the colours are gorgeous.

I got the shade in Chocolate Jewelery

Chocolate Jewelery is a metallic dark chocolate brown.
It is one of those neutral shade that goes with everything.

Essence Longlasting Lipstick in 13 Love Me

This is one of the new shades in the Longlasting Lipstick line. When I saw it in the stand,  I just had to pick it up.

Love Me is a gorgeous soft pink.

Here is a swatch of the lipstick.

It's one of favourite shade for lipsticks. It is one of those shade that goes with anything.

The last item I picked up is the Essence XXXL Longlasting Matt Effect Lipgloss in Velvet Rose.

Velvet Rose is light pink.

Also, unfortunately, It seems like they discontinued the Essence Stay with Me Lipcream line to replace with this line. Also, they didn't bother giving new names to the new line, they recycled the names!
How lazy that could be!

Here is my Velvet Roses side by side.

The difference between the old Velvet Rose and new one, it is that the older one contains more brown tones that it is a more pinky nude with brown tones as opposed to this light pink one.

A walk in the park

It has been a great weather yesterday with lots of sunshine and temperate weather at 15 degree celcius.

I went out for a stroll since I have 4 days off.
I went for a stroll at GUM, Red Square. They were prepping up the square for the 9th of May Victory Day celebration.

I stopped by Stolovaya 57 for a quick lunch.
It is a soviet style cafeteria that offers budget Russian food at the top floor of GUM. The concept is you take your own try and choose your starters, main course meal, soups, side dishes and desserts.
The price is not exactly the cheapest for cafeteria food but definitely very affordable if you are finding a budget eat out in the heart of Red Sqaure.

This is my meal.
Chicken salad with prunes, Buckwheat with mushrooms and meatballs and Vatrushka ( Bread with cottage cheese filling)

It is a very satisfying lunch, I couldn't even finish all I ordered and even shared my portion.

After lunch, we headed to the park in Sokolniki.
There's so many activities going on in the park and there's a lot of food there too.

I saw a group of old grannies and gramps having their own ballroom dance, it's fun to see the old folks having a fun time.
There was even a small bazaar in the park selling various honeys, pirogs, pirozhkis, rulets, all mainly Russian cuisines. There were even Mochi Sweets, which is extremely overpriced compared to the price in Malaysia and also Indian cuisine cooked by Indians.

A selfie of the day.

My makeup for that day is pretty subtle. I am using my Laneige BB Cushion topped with my MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural.
Lipstick is Maybelline Popstick in Tropical Pink. I am so sad this has been discontinued because I really enjoy this lipstick. Everyone says it is rubbish but surprisingly it gives me a lot of colour on my lips, maybe it is because I got pale lips.

Look at greenery behind me. I love the colour of Spring. The leaves are in such a fresh green colour.
Unfortunately the leaves are going to turn into a mature green soon. So enjoy the fresh green before its gone.

Also, I finally stopped by The Body Shop to pick up the Honeymania Eau de Toilette which I have been lemming after so badly.
There's a 40% off for the Honeymania line which is great.
This eau de toilette is such a great steal.

I am so happy with this purchase because I really love the scent of this perfume.
I am going to smell like floral honey after this.

May day : The Body Shop haul

Happy The 1st of May Lovelies.

Weather has been great outside this week and may the blooming flowers welcome the great beautiful warm month of May.
Yesterday my groupmates and I had a barbeque party in the park. It has been great to be barbeque-ing after not doing it for a long time. There were too much food and I ate too much.
So today I am having a bad bloated stomach day.

On the otherhand, on facebook a promo for The Body Shop has been circulating around. I took advantage and got a few items from The Body Shop.

I picked up only three items, nothing too much.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner.

I like the Vitamin E range from The Body Shop. I think it is their best line. I have tried the illuminating cream and facial oil from this line and I really like them.
Since my toner is almost gone. I thought I should just try out this toner.

The Body Shop Honeymania Body Butter.

This range was on sale in the store. I picked this Body Butter up because of its scent.
It smells so amazing! It has a floral-ish honey smell. I can't help sniffing it from the tub since the day I got it. I am so addicted to the scent.
Now I am thinking whether should I pick up the Eau de Toilette since I am so obsessed with the scent.

Approving the Honeymania line.

Lastly the last item I picked up from The Body Shop is an item that Estee from Essiebutton raves about.
It is The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder.

I am not a very bronzer type of girl but something about this bronzer just keep screaming 'try me!'
I am quite a fair skin girl not English Rose fair and will never be that fair. Even for my skintone, it is quite hard to find a bronzer that isn't high-end that doesn't look too dark or muddy or sometimes worse, comes up straight up orange on my skin.

The Body Shop bronzers are very subtle on fair skin, it is like they are especially tailored for the fair skin ladies.

The shade I picked up is in 01 Light Matte

The bronzer is engraved with a honey comb pattern on the powder.

There is no shimmer or glitter in the bronzer. It is basically a fool-proof bronzer on fair skin since it is pretty light. It gives a hint of colour on the skin instead of the sunkissed look.
It has a slight reddish tone in it but it doesn't bother me at all.

For reference, the last time I matched myself I am a NC20 in MAC but it was when I was spending more time in my tropical country, now I might be fairer since I have been spending most of my life in Moscow.

A few days ago when I was in the hypermarket, I picked up the Garnier Micellar Water which many people sing praisea about and it comes with a pricetag doesn't break the bank.

I can't wait to start using it after using up my L'oreal Micellar Water.
On the other note, I also spotted Nivea releasing their own version of the Micellar Water. Got to love these cleansing waters, they are just so gentle on the skin
