Perfume haul + Life

I am going back to my mother's hometown tomorrow, so I won't be posting anyone for the next 2 days.

I am not the type of person who post about my music choices but I have been so obsessed with this song, the PV, the visuals, the dance.
Everything is so perfect!

I am always the one buying fragrances but in the end I don't use them much and I let my mum use them up.
My mum has like free supply of perfume for life.
When I was in Australia, my friend took me to My Chemist and she told me the perfumes are really cheap there.

The price is definitely cheaper than where I live.

So I didn't hesitate picking up two bottles of perfumes.

I got the Britney Spears' Curious and Lady Gaga Fame

I am bad at describing the scent of perfumes so I won't try.
All I remembered that is the Lady Gaga smells great and Britney Spears' was so cheap that I just bought it.

The Lady Gaga's perfume is a unique one, the liquid in the bottle is black but it sprays transparent.

The bottle screams Lady Gaga.

Review : Etude House CC Cream in Silky + FOTD & EOTD

From my previous post, I said I would review the Etude House CC cream so now here's the review!

The CC cream is a white-coloured cream with microcapsules.

It is said the cream would adjust to skintone once blended.
The mechanism of the cream is like when pressure is exerted on the microcapsules, the microcapsules will burst and 'colour' the cream.
I don't know if the CC cream blends well or leaves a white cast on darker skintones but from my judgement of the cream after blending, the cream is pretty light.
It's a perfect fit on a NC15-NC20 skintone.

Before.

After.

The coverage of the CC cream is really sheer. You need to have pretty good skin (and maybe some photoshop) to begin with to look as flawless as the brand's muse ( F(x)'s Krystal) on the promo poster.
A concealer is definitely needed to cover up redness, blemishes etc. It only brightens and slightly corrects the skintone.
A way to boost the coverage is to mix it with a BB cream in a 1:1 ratio.

The finish is not a flat matte, it is a soft matte/ matte with some sheen.

The lasting power is average, it can last about 5-6 hours before noticeable fading
I do not have oily skin so I can't judge the oil-control power for this cream but it think it has a fair oil controlling power.

It is really light. It doesn't feel like there's anything on the face.

I would recommend a CC cream to people who have pretty good skin and doesn't need any coverage but wants to brighten or waken up their complexion.

People with minor skin problems can use it too with some concealer or boost the coverage up with mixing 1:1 ratio with a BB cream/foundation.

The product comes with 35g and it is priced at 14,000Won.

Silky dream : Etude House, It's Skin

This is a small buy that I jumped in when my friend wants to order BB cream.
The CC cream was on promotion so it was like extremely cheap and combining shipping with her, everything turned out extremely affordable.

Etude House CC Cream in Silky and two It's Skin Power 10 Formula serum (VB and PO)

I got the serum together since I needed a serum anyway after I finish my Naruko serum. This is way cheaper than my Naruko serum and this was on 1+1 offer, that's why I grabbed it up.

I think most know how does the packaging of the Etude House CC Cream look like.

It comes in a simple yet cute packaging with a pump dispenser.
I like it when my base makeup products come with a pump dispenser. It's less messy.

The tube is thin, non-bulky and very travel-friendly.

It comes in two types : Silky & Glow.
I own both but so far I only had tried out the Silky version.

I will follow up a FOTD and a short review of this CC Cream in Silky in my next post.

Stay tune!

Mini buy : Etude House~

Last month my local Etude House was having a buy one free one promotion.

Some things are ressonable to buy after the promotion.

There's one thing that always catches my eye when I browse through the Etude House store, I always test it out but never bought it. I love the glow it gives me.
I was meaning to place an order online soon but after the promotion, I found out it was slightly cheaper than the online price, so I picked it up after deciding for soooo long. I went back to the shop for about 3 times before getting it.

It is the Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer Baby Glow Mist.

Buy one free one, so I picked up two bottles of the mist instead of picking another item which is equal the price or cheaper.

It comes with a 80ml spray bottle.

I have used it but since I was in a rush everytime I go out,so I didn't take any pictures with me using this product. I will take one soon for a FOTD.

I have been so in love with Etude House nail polishes.

They are super pretty on the nails.

I bought another two this time and it is on promotion that time.

Sweet Hut, Sweet Dessert.

Sweet Hut is a dessert house that has open recently in Malaysia. I have never heard of it until my friends recommended it to me.

It serves various type of desserts originating from different countries.

My friends love desserts and so do I. So since I was one of the few in the group who hasn't tried any desserts from this dessert parlour, so they suggested that we sit down and try out their desserts.

Milk Almond pudding in Mango Sago Soup.

This dessert is not too sweet, it is just nice. The aroma of the mango adds on flavour of the mild almond pudding.

Durian Pancake

The fragrance of the durian is so strong and there's durian fillings in the pancake.
Not just durian whipped cream in the pancake.

Definitely for the durian lovers.

Peanut Butter Shaved Ice

Taste exactly like peanut butter no added sweetness.

Baked Chocolate Marquis with Cookie Ice Cream

The star of the menu. All of my friends were crazy over this dessert.
The chocolate is rich and warm.

The cookies blend well with the vanilla ice cream.

Definitely the best out of the 4 items we ordered.

Etude House mini buy

My mum actually got this quite a long time ago. Etude House was having a buy 1 free 1 then and she picked up a BB cream, one is for her and one is for me.

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream in Bright Fit.

Usually the local Etude House is overpriced but with the buy 1 free 1 sale, the prices are more reasonable eventhough I could get it cheaper online for some items.

The BB Cream comes in a generous amount of 60g.

My mum got matched to N02 - Light Beige and I have the same skin tone colour as her.
The lightest colour in the range.
There's 4 colours in the range, N02, W13, W15, W24. W24 being the darkest.

I haven't been matched for a MAC foundation for the longest time but the last time I got matched, I was a NC20.

This BB Cream has a dewy finish.
So it is great for people who wants the 'glow' or people with dry/normal skin. If those with very oily skin  who wants to try Etude House BB, there's a cotton fit which leaves a powdery finish.

I haven't use this BB Cream, it is lying in my vanity cupboard collecting dust. I will try to get around using it and leave an impression soon with a FOTD.

This BB Cream retails at RM89.90 at the local Etude House. It is better to wait for a buy one free one promotion to purchase it or you could find it even cheaper on online shopping sites.

Daiso mini buy.

Daiso is always the place for cheap great finds. You can always find some surprises everytime you step into Daiso.

While I was browsing through the cosmetic section, I came across these new lipsticks.

Ellefar Princess Nudy Lip.

This is new in Daiso, I haven't seen it around before. There's an eyeshadow palette in this range too but i didn't pick up.

It reminds me of Dolly wink lipsticks and the Canmake Nudy Lip line. I guess this is Daiso's take on these lipsticks.

It comes with three colours Nude, Peach and Pink.

The packaging comes with a clear cap and black cap.
You can use either one, I chose using the black one because it makes the lipstick look sleeker and more exprnsive.

The packaging has some lace details on it, kinda Anna Sui-esque and making the whole lipstick look girlier.

Nude is a brown beige colour.

Pink is mauve pink.

The nudy lips line isn't all that nudy  except for the colour Nude but for RM5 can't complain.
Surprisingly they apply on creamy and glides on the lips nicely. They are nicely pigmented too.
It is definitely a great pick from Daiso.

You can run to your local Daiso to pick one, if they haven't run out of stock!
