Huge Highend + Sephora haul

This is one of the biggest high end haul I have ever done.
I go back to Malaysia once a year for Summer Holidays ever since I started my further studies and when I go back I do feel very spendy and I just feel like I need everything or stock up things and it does not help with the fact there's Sephora over here. Too add on, I got a departmental store gift card from my mother. Double the trouble.

Let's dive into the haul.

Two massive paperbags. One from Sephora and the other, from the department store.

Flat lay of the makeup products I have purchased.

Everybody and their mum and their dog knows about this palette. The Urban Decay Naked palettes are so well known in the beauty community. I wasn't too interested in the 1 ans 2 Naked palette, they did not scream "buy me!". When the Naked 3 palette was launched I just knew I have to get it.
The hues of roses and pinks just got me and I like how the darkest shade in the palette is not too dark. I am not on who reaches for dark shades for eyeshadows but the rosy-pink undertones adds a feminine touch which makes it workable for me.

I like how the packaging is rose gold in colour.

Comes with very twelve very lovely shades of rose-pink toned neutrals.
I do not think there is a shade that I will not reach for and dislike in this palette.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fuchsia

I love when my lip product is long wearing and pigmented and this product from Too Faced seems like a product that I will love so I just needed to get it and try it.
I wanted Melted Peony but sadly it was out of stock at the time I purchased Melted Fuchsia. Only Melted Fuchsia and Melted Ruby was left.
Since I am more of a pink girl, I chose Melted Fuchsia.

The tube is really cute which the matching shade of the tube and gold cap.

I see myself getting more of these Melted Liquid Lipsticks. I will definitely be getting Melted Peony and aiming to get Melted Chihuahua, Melted Fig and some of the Melted Metallics.

Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour full coverage foundation in Light Beige

I have always wanted to try Tarte products thanks to Essiebutton. She has been raving about some Tarte products and seeing her loving it just made me have the urge to try the products out.
After thinking which base product should I get from Tarte, I finally settled with this foundation because it is full coverage and it has SPF. I do not own many full coverage foundation I thought it is good to add one more into my collection incase of some skin emergencies or days I want my skin to look flawless.

The bamboo cap is really cute.

I have tried this foundation and so far I have been liking it. I will go into an in depth review on it someday when I do a FOTD with it.

Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush.

The blush their mum, grandma and dog is raving about. I have heard so many good reviews about these blushes and how long lasting these blushes are.
So, I just had to get one of these blushers to try it out.

The shade I chose is "Dollface", a baby pink which a shade that I would make a lot of use out.

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Stingray.

Eyeliner is something I find a lot of use out, I switch between liquid, pencil and gel liners depends on my need. Among all types of liner I have owned, I find that searching for a long lasting pencil that doesn't smudge. I have tried many from the drugstore and none of them work on me and my lids aren't even oily to begin with.
Now I am venturing into the high end with hopes finding a long lasting eyeliner that does not smudge.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on eyepencil in Perversion

Besides getting Stila's eyeliner, I got Urban Decay's too to tried out. I couldn't resist getting Urban Decay's when I swatched this eyeliner on my hand because this eyeliner, has to be the blackest black, mother of black eyeliner that I have ever seen. The pigmentation is to die for. It is amazing.
The only thing I do not like is that I have to sharpen the Urban Decay eyeliners. I just do not enjoy sharpening my makeups.

The MAC Paint Pot.

I have heard so much about the paint pots and I have always wanted to try them. After contemplating on whether to get it a paint pot for myself, I finally got one when I went to the cosmetics discount outlet.
This is my only product from the outlet so I threw it into this haul post.
Instead of paying full price, I paid about 30% lesser than the market price which is a good deal for me.

Rubenesque
This is the shade I wanted the most from the paint pot range. It is the shade that attracted me the most.

It is a golden peach shade with gold microshimmers that works great alone or as a base colour.

Two MAC Lipsticks that I picked up, Sunny Seoul and Patisserie.

The standard MAC Lipstick packaging. Ever so sleek.

Patisserie is a lustre finish which probably means it is sheerer compared to other finishes in MAC.
It is a pinkish rosy-brown nude with flecks of shimmer. Very subtle and natural on the lips. I find it to be the perfect nude on my skintone. Also, my lips but better shade.

It is one of those shades that I would grab if I can't decide which lip colour to wear or on days I want a natural and simple look.
This shade is slowly creeping to be one of my favourite lipstick shades.

While Patisserie is the elegant and simple, Sunny Seoul screams girly , sweet and cute.

Sunny Seoul is a pinky-peach shade. The creamsheen+pearl formula means it is more pigmented than Patisserie but still on the little sheer side. This makes working with this lipstick very easy. It is a very easy shade for an everyday look to give a punch of colour on the lips and will never look overdone.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation.

I finally got it. This is the foundation I have wanted for ages and now it is finally in my hands.
I have heard so many great reviews about this foundation. I am a lover of glowy finish because I like my skin to look healthy and fresh and what this foundation promises just hit the right notes for me.

My shade is in Gobi.

I have tried this foundation and it does not disappoint at all.
Foundation are a tricky thing to comment about. Not every foundation works on everyone. It depends on the skin's chemistry. My skin is combination and it leans more to dry. This foundation works very well on me.
The finish is not as glowy as I expected it to be, it is more of a soft matte finish but nevertheless it still gives the skin a healthy glow. The coverage is light-medium which is perfect for me. I do not use full coverage foundation often as I find them too heavy on the skin and currently my skin condition does not need any heavy coverage. Light-medium coverage is perfect because it feels really light on the skin and it does not look like I have caking on foundation.
The only down side is the packaging. I paid so much for this foundation and they can't provide me a pump. I do not like pouring out products directly from the bottle. I am clumsy and I tend to pour way too much product.
Sadly, the NARS store I went was out of the pump so no luck for now but I will definitely be purchasing the pump to prevent further mishaps with this foundation.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer.

My shade is in Finland.
This shade matches me perfectly on my NC15-NC20 skin.

NARS Sheer Lipstick in Roman Holiday

It is a pastel pink.

It is a basic shade that works well on my NC15-NC20 skintone.

Urban Decay Naked Flushed

When I visited the Sephora KLCC Branch with the intention of getting the Urban Decay Naked Flushed in Native, it was out of stock. So, I settled for the original palette.
With hope that I am able to get myself the Native version the next time.

I like the Flushed palettes. I find them very convenient for travelling with the blush, highlighter and bronzer in a palette and they are really gorgeous shades.

And then, I visited another Sephora branch. And yes, they have the Naked Flushed in Native in stock.
I just went ahead and grabbed it.

I like the Native palette more because of the pink shade also the bronzer seems to be less orange than the original Naked Flushed and the highlighter is a pale shimmery pink instead of the champagne beige in the original.

The Diorskin Star Foundation.

Following the Diorskin Nude foundation, I just decided to pick up the Diorskin Star to try it out since I really like the Diorskin Nude.

The shade I chose is 011, which leans slightly more yellow than 010.

Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Kiss Me.

The Fluid Stick is one of the innovation products where it is a fusion between a lipgloss, lipstick and lipbalm. The pigmentation of a lipstick, shine of a gloss and moisturizing like a lipbalm. Seems like a dream come true to many lip product lovers. This makes me so intrigue with this liquid lipstick that I have to try one myself to see the hype all around it and what made it have 381742 dupes of it.
Also let's talk about how gorgeous the packaging is. The silver tones and acrylic tube just screams chic.

Kiss Me is a light pink. One of those my comfort zone shade.

Dior Lip Maximizer

I do not remember what actually triggered me to get this. I guess I just got it because it doubles as a lip plumper and lip treatment.

Diorskin Nude Rose Powder

Look at the packaging, it looks so luxurious and excuse the fingerprints on the packaging. The lid is such a fingerprint magnet. I guess that is how it is with silver packagings.

The powder is pink as its name states and with microshimmers.

I am not a loose powder kind of girl as they can get really messy and go crazy but loose powder have a softer and nicer finish compared to pressed powder. I have a love-hate relationship with loose powders. But, they will never be my travel companion. This powder is straight off pink which just made me wanna get it. I have also actually heard a lot of good review regarding this powder which contributes to me wanting to get it.I just went ahead and bought it without thinking twice.
Now I am so in love with this powder and I can't just stop staring at its gorgeousness and lament that it cost me my week's meal.

Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Affinite.

The usual black Parisian chic Chanel packaging with a dust pouch.

I am kinda bumped that in Malaysia, the shade 'Inspiration' was not available because that was the shade I wanted most. In the end, I settled with "Inspiration" because it is still in the pinks family.

Affinite is a bright pink.

Slightly different from the usual Chanel black packaging is the Les Beiges line, instead of a chic black style, it's a mode white-black style.

Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour SPF 15.

The Les Beiges line focuses on creating a healthy luminous glow with natural sheer lightweight makeup.

The compact comes with a brush. It is a good brush for touch ups but for my makeup routine, I prefer to use my own brush.

My shade is 10.

Chanel Rouge Allure in Imagination

I actually wanted the Chanel Rouge Coco in Rendezvous but it was sold out and I settled for Rouge Allure in Imagination.
Since the shade is not much different and it is still in the same pink family. Just the finish and texture is different. Rouge Coco is known to be more sheer and moisturizing which also translates to not very long lasting. The Rouge Allure are Satin finishes. More pigmentation and drier than the Rouge Coco and also, much more long lasting.

Behold the glorious packaging of Chanel Rouge Allure.
I like the mechanism the packaging, I find it to be unique. It is push to open and push to close type of mechanism.

Imagination is a rosy-pink with gold pearls. The gold pearls are not very visible upon application, the purpose of it is to give a golden satin finish on the lips. Another way to say it, it gives dimension to the lips. So the shade does not seem to lay flat there.
It is a extremely beautiful shade. Very feminine and sophisticated.
This shade does last long on the lips and leaves a nice pink stain through out wear and tear.

Skin update

I did talked about how bad my skin reacted when I was in Bangkok. There were small little bumps all over my left cheek, slightly on the right and the chin.
I did tweaked up my skincare routine and after about one or two weeks my skin pretty much cleaned up.

I hated my skin when I had the bumps. It isn't very visible unless you are under lighting that creates shadow but to the touch, my skin felt very textured and rough.

This picture was taken the 2nd day after I came back from Bangkok. As you can see that my skin was very textured with tiny tiny bumps.

What I did for my skincare is switching and adding a few products.

So, instead of using my usual toner which is either the Son & Park Beauty Water or Eucerin Dermo Purifier toner or Secret Key Milk Brightening Toner ( I do switch up between using these three toners), I went for a stronger exfoliating toner which is the Alpha H Liquid Gold.

This toner contains glycolic acid, which works as an exfoliater that assist in removal of dead skin cells and accelerate the renewal of new skin cells, leaving smoother and glowing skin.
For further benefits of glycolic acid you can click over here for a read on glycolic acid.

This toner really helped in clearing up my skin, I can see a difference overnight and I am not exaggerating. I can see the bumps getting lesser day by day. It is such a miracle worker.
Even so, I do not use it everyday since I do find the toner a little but strong. It gave a tingly effect on my skin.

Other than switching up my toner, I have been using Aloe Vera Gel to soothe my skin. You can use the Aloe plant or if you do not have one, you can buy a tub of aloe vera gel and it's quite affordable.
I would slather a generous amount every night before going to bed.
Aloe vera contains anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
It helped control my skin from any further reactions. Also, I do like the cooling feeling of the gel on my skin.

The other steps in my skincare routine has remained pretty much the same. I continued using my serums, moisturizers etc.

Here is my skin about 10 days later. Can you see the vast improvement.

Up till now I still can't figure out the cause of the tiny bumps.
I have since returned to my usual skincare, using the same makeup I have applied in Bangkok. My skin has still stayed okay, no reactions or bumps.

FOTD : Valentine's look

I thought of sharing this Valentine's FOTD since I did try out a lot of items that I haven't talked before on this blog for this look and I managed to capture decent pictures on my camera.

Base :
Banila Co. Prime Primer in Hydrating Shimmer
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
3CE Loose Powder
Catrice Prime and Fine Professional Contouring Palette 010 Ashy Radiance
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20
Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Blush in Candy Queen of Hearts
Violet Voss Pro Highlighting Palette

Eyes :
ELF Mineral Eye Primer
Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette
Aritaum Mono Eyes in 25 Dress Code
Innisfree Gel Liner in #7
Mee Eyeliner in Brown
Maybelline The Magnum Mascara

Lips:
Dragon lipstick in #13 (Anastasia dupe version)

The shade I used for the Charlotte Tilbury Foundation is in 4 which is a tad dark for me but when I went to Selfridges to get it, the lady did say it was a perfect match for me. Anyway after blending out, it looks bearable on my skin, it is just a tinge dark on me.

I have a hormonal pimple today so I had to dig out my MAC concealer which I have not touched for ages for the pimple. Well it sort of did its job. I am actually not a big fan of this concealer because I find it a little dry. It kinda works for spot conceal since you do not hope for anything too creamy that will slip off mid-day.

I think it is the first time mentioning about the Catrice Prime and Fine Professional Contouring Palette. Today I used the contouring side to slightly contour. I like it since it's not too dark nor too heavy on the skin. It is a nice natural contour shade just to give a little shade to the face.

I love the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette very much. The eyeshadows are very smooth, soft, buttery and pigmented. Even so, I still think the eyeshadows can be not beginner friendly and difficult to use. For me, as much as I love this palette, it is not my everyday go to palette nor eyeshadow as they can be too pigmented. Usually I end up with disastrous makeup look when I am not careful while using this palette.I will accidentally pick up too much product and it ruins the whole eyelook.I do not know if you all are getting what am I trying to say. I prefer using very natural soft shades and palettes that are a no brainer to use on day to day basis.

For this look I used the shades Golden Ochre for my whole lid, Burnt Orange on the crease, Red Ochre at the outer V with Venetian Red too redden the look up and Cyprus Umber to darken it a tad bit.
Another eyeshadow I used is the Aritaum Mono Eyes in Dress Code at the center of my lid to give a pop.

By the way, I love the brush that comes with the palette. I think this is the first time liking a brush that comes with a palette or any palette. I really enjoy the brush, it's really good. Both sides of the brush are the right size for my eye.

For my lips, I am using an Ebay liquid lipstick. It is not a fake, the packaging just look like the Anastasia Beverly Hills' liquid lipstick but nowhere states it is claiming to be the ABH liquid lipstick and it does not come with a box like the ABH's.  I seriously think that this does blow a lot of liquid lipstick off the water. For the price, it's amazing. I really like the formula. It's not sticky, it dries completely matte and it is very comfortable on the lips.
I really love this shade, it's a dusty pink shade.
