USA Haul : NYX, L.A. Girl

This is a mini NYX haul that I did last summer.

Just picked up the usual favourites from NYX. Got myself two cream blush and two Xtreme Lip Creams. 

I got the Xtreme Lip Cream in the shade Pinky Natural and Nude Peach Fuzz. 

Pink Natural is a medium pink and Nude Peach Fuzz a pinky nude with slight peack undertones. 

The Xtreme Lip Cream is not as widely talked about as the sister counterpart, the Soft Matte Lip Creams. The Xtreme Lip Creams have a glossy finish which means they are not as dry as the Soft Matte Lip Cream but as equally pigmented. 

I enjoy popping this on on days where I do not feel like sporting a matte lip look. 

A little goes a long way for this product, you only need a swipe to get an opaque finish. 

Mine came looking sweaty. The heat in my country is just unbearable. 

NYX cream blush is one of my favourite cream blushes in the drugstore market. They have a nice selection of shades with beautiful formula and not to mention an affordable price tag. 

I already own a few of the cream blushes but since I really like them , I went ahead and pick up two more. 

Boho Chic

This is a beautiful pale blue-pink with silver shimmers. The silver shimmers is not very visible upon application. 

Glow

Glow is vibrant medium pink. 

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints.

I happened to bump into these while purchasing my NYX items. I was intrigued with them since they reminded me of the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks and I had heard good reviews about too. 

I picked them in a bundle of six since it is slightly cheaper to purchase the bundle rather than purchasing them alone.

Past spring haul

I did this haul quite fairly long ago and I forgot all about it after not arranging my pictures properly into designated files but it is better too late than never.

It is a random haul from various beauty stores.

L'oreal launched a nude palette of rose tones which intrigued me very much due to my love for rose tones and rose and nude together, that just tickled my fancy. I just had to pick it up when I saw the palette in stock in Rive Gauche. I don't remember seeing that palette being stocked anywhere other than Rive Gauche.
I also picked some knicks and knacks from NYX Cosmetics and Essence cosmetics. The Estee Lauder Palette was a gift.

NYX Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake.

I love the NYX Butter Gloss and I do have quite a collection of these glosses. This colour I have sought after high and low when it was later added on to the existing shades but everytime when I do want to purchase it, it is always out of stock.
I do get why it would be so sought after. This shade is just absolutely gorgeous. It is a mauve rosy nude. It is that type of shade that looks good on everyone and not to mention, such a natural shade.

Another product from NYX that I absolutely adore is the highly talked about Soft Matte Lip Cream.
This product is just so wonderful if you want a matte lip finish that isn't too drying and have a great colour selection. The texture is beautiful, it feels like mousse upon application, very soft and airy and it is long lasting.

The shade I got is Istanbul. It is a baby pink.

I guess I have talked about this lipliner in Satin Mauve many times in my FOTD posts. This is when I first got this lipliner, I actually went to get this lipliner because I love the other shade which is "
Wish me a Rose" from this lipliner range very much and I wanted to try more Essence lipliners.

Essence lipliners never disappoint me. They are just so amazing for the price.

The L'oreal La Palette Nude in Rose.
This palette I have been eyeing on it eversince it was launched because of my love for rose tones. There is never enough rose tone palette for me.

The black palette looks really sleek and beautiful.

It is lovely that the store gave me the Estee Lauder lip palette as a gift.
Something unexpected happened, I had to wait for an hour before it was able to pay my purchase, in the process, the cashier made several mistakes keying in my purchase. So the head cashier came and apologize and gave me this palette as a gift.

I am not a fan of lip palettes. I don't like to use them because I just prefer my lip product from a tube but even so lip palettes are very convenient for travelling. They are packed with various colours and they are compacted into a palette. You don't need bring 3727422 lipsticks on travel. 

Tiny haul

Just right before leaving for Winter holidays, I popped by the beauty store near my place just to pick up last minute items to prep myself up for the trip.

I just picked up two items and they are kind of boring items.
The ever so hyped NYX Butter gloss and Vivienne Sabo Blush Duo.

NYX finally has arrived in the beauty store near my hostel around November or December last year. Moscovites could finally catch a glimpse of these ever so raved American brand. For me, back in Malaysia, I could get them from Sephora or ordering them online via a spree for a cheaper price.

I have so many butter glosses why did I get another one.

I left all my butter glosses back in Malaysia because I didn't have enough luggage space to bring all of them over. Also, I just wanted to use the NYX Butter glosses during my winter holidays. Not a very solid excuse to get it. To cut it short, I am a hoarder.

I wanted to pick up "Angel's Food Cake" since I didn't manage to pick it up from my last NYX haul because it was out of stock on Cherry Culture then.

Sadly, It was not in stock here too. So I settled for "Vanilla Cream Pie". I already had this shade but since I do not have it with me now, it does not hurt to pick it up.
The butter glosses are definitely great quality lip glosses from the drugstore. They are pigmented, creamy, smooth and buttery, almost everything you want from a lipgloss.

Vivienne Sabo Blush Duo in 13.
I needed a powder blush, this blush duo seems like a convenient for on the go. It comes with a blush colour and a contour colour.
The blush colour is a peachy pink colour. Contour is a brown with peach undertones, it is a very warm brown.
The duo are really pigmented and they do stay on the skin for some time, around 4-5 hours but the downside is, they are really chalky, they are fall outs all over the blush duo now, making it really dirty.
I could not complain much with the price, it is really affordable on the time of purchase.

NYX lippies galore

Got myself another treat of NYX Lipsticks fresh from the mail. 

I love NYX lipsticks, they are so affordable, they come in a huge variety of colours and their texture is great for the price.

I have this huge collection of atleast 20 shades of  NYX Round lipsticks lying in my vanity and I just love them to bits 

I am usually all for NYX lip products but it took me quite awhile getting the NYX Butter Lipsticks because I was like 'oh well, I don't need any more lipsticks, they might be just the same as the Revlon Lip Butters'

In the end I still caved into temptation and got them 

NYX Butter Lipstick in Taffy, Funsize and NYX Round Lipstick in Tea Rose. 

At first glance the Butter Lipstick's packaging does remind me of Essence's but the quality is much better than Essence's, it is more sturdy. The packaging is fun looking and the colour of the packaging represents the shade, makes it easy for us to find the shade we want. 

Funsize is a pinky nude. It's one of my comfort zone colours. 

Taffy is a mauve-pink.

No lipstick haul is complete without a pink lipstick. I am always for the pinks, it is my shade. 

I own a lot of shades of the NYX Round Lipsticks but only some shades I really use them and Tea Rose is one of my staple shades.

It is such a gorgeous shade for everyday use. It is like one of the most perfect mauve-pink. 

The only downside about these NYX Lipsticks is their scent. No offence to all the old grannies outside, i still love you all but this lipstick smells like cheap granny perfume and it is so overpowering upon application. I am glad it fades after awhile but still there's something sickening about the scent. 

Another haul with NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams

NYX has launched new colours for the Soft Matte Lip Cream not too long ago. I am impressed with their addition of muted neutrals and dark shades. 

I wanted to get them from my previous USA makeup spree but at that time Cherry Culture ran out of stock on the lip creams. Luckily I now found a seller in lowyat forums who carries NYX cosmetics ready stock. I got some shades from the Soft Matte Lip Cream line that I am really interested in and see myself using.

Prague, Cannes and Zurich

The three most flattering colours I find from the collection. 

Prague is the most unique among all the shades I've got. It is a merlot shade, a wine-stained lips shade, a cross between a fuschia with rich purple-red undertones. 

I do not seem to have such a shade in my collection. Really unique, mysterious, classy and fall-winter shade. 

Cannes is a dusty rose colour. It's one of those colour that flatters every skintone while being neutral at bay. It is one of those ' My Lips But Better' shade for light-medium skintones. I see this colour as an everyday colour for a flush of colour without being bold for ladies who doesn't like too much of colour on their skin. 

Zurich is a muted rose colour. It is slightly lighter than Cannes. It is also one of those neutral that will flatter light skintones. It just have the right amount of pinks in the colour so no washed out neutral. 

American cosmetics haul

Getting NYX in Malaysia is no tough job, it's all in Sephora but ordering from the US is much cheaper than retail price and there's a wider selection and do not need to bother about items I want being out of stock.
It's annoying that most NYX lip products in Sephora is always out of stock.

I love NYX products, I really do. I have a truckload of their lip products in my makeup collection. Their lip products are the best bargains in the market. I used to get their lipsticks when they were USD1.75 each but now the prices has gone up.

I heard many raves about the butter lipglosses and I am just itching to try them out. So, when I got the chance to place an order on them, I went a little crazy and got 7 colours.

This was an impulse buy. It was on sale and I thought why not try it since I love Milani products and I never tried their foundation before.

This site is a great site to get cheap and great cosmetics from brands like NYX, L.A. Colors, Jordana etc.

I love getting NYX from site comapred to getting from Sephora here because it is cheaper.

This time, I got two NYX Rouge Cream Blush. In, Orange and Boho Chic.

Also, four lipsticks from Jordana. I haven't seen these colours before this, it seems like they are new from the 'pinks' line.
Not a very big haul. 

The cream blushes.

I absolutely love the cream blushes from NYX, not only they have a great variety of colours, they are also pigmented. 

Cream blushes give a more dewy look compared to powder blushes which give a more matte look. This is the reason why girls who opt for the dewy look will tend to use cream blushes to finish off their look.

Orange just screams 'Orangeeee!'

It is a fun colour for the spring/summer season, it can also be a great colour for everyday use, it give a fresh look to the face.

Boho Chic is a pale pink with silver shimmers.

It is a very sweet colour.

I got four lipsticks from Jordana. The matte lipstick line are golden in colour whereas the normal line is in silver.

Pink Showstopper.

It is a bright barbie pink.

Blushed.

It is a rosy pink.

Sweet Sorbet.

It is a medium pink with shimmers!? Isn't this suppose to be a matte line, why is there shimmers? 

Candied Pink is the only one that is not from the matte line.
The colour is almost like Pink Showstopper, a barbie pink.

That's all I got from Cherry Culture this time.

NYX haul + some LA Colors

I made so many hauls in the past month, it is just so overwhelming. 

I haven't been going out much since September till July this year due to my stressful semester and all the extra pocket money which I manage to save went to online shopping (mostly cosmetics & skincare).

I placed this orders last year and only manage to get them shipped to my house this year around Jan or Feb. 

Majorly a NYX haul with two LA Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils.

I have been wanting to try out their soft matte lip cream and xtreme lip cream for quite some time since they have quite a number of good reviews, an interesting concept and I love lip products.

NYX is a great affordable American brand with great products, I love their lip and cheek product mostly and own a collection of their round lipsticks.
They are one of my favourite affordable American brand, maybe most favourite.

NYX Rouge Cream Blush.

These cream blush are super great in quality and pigmentation. I own one of the cream blush in Natural and I like it so I went back for more.

Rose Petal & Hot Pink.

LA Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils in Cherry Blossom and Sand Castles.
Both are shimmery. I prefer shimmery eye colour over matte since it adds dimension to my Asian eyes, I guess this is also why Asian likes shimmery eye colour.

Actually the reason I picked them up is because they are cheap, even cheaper than the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. I do not own any jumbo eye pencils and I thought this might be a great buy to start off discovering jumbo eye pencils.

Now, to my favourite part, the lip products~

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm and Milan.
Stockholm is a pinky-brown nude and Milan is a medium rose-pink.

I have been eyeing at this Lip Cream for quite some time. The interesting description caught me.

Not a lipstick nor lipgloss but something I've never experienced before?
WANT.

Lastly, the Xtreme Lip Cream in Candy Land, Bonfire and Buttery Nude.
Candy Land is a barbie pink, Bonfire is a deep bright pink and Buttery Nude, like its name is a peachy-pink nude.

The Soft Matte Lip Cream are well, like their name, matte whereas the Xtreme Lip Cream are in a glossy finish.

They work  like a liquid lipstick. 

Hello July! Haul Mania - Cherry Culture Part 2

Happy 1st of July.
The days go by so fast and now it is the 2nd half of the year.

Now, we continue with Cherry Culture haul batch 2/part 2.

The overall of the haul. I got them when Cherry Culture had a 20% off. They always have 20% off now and then, so check this site when they do have it.

They offer a wide variety of good cosmetics at an affordable price.

The lipsticks. Three Jordana lipsticks - The silver packaging is their normal line and the gold one is the matte line and a NYX lipstick.
The NYX lipstick melted in transit.  Now it looks like a pile of melted goo in the tube.

NYX lipsticks are very sensitive to heat. Keep them out of reach from hot places if you don't want your lipstick to end up melting.

The colours I got.

The lipglosses.
3 NYX megashine lipgloss and 2 NYX round lipgloss.

Jordana blushers.
The new Jordana blushers come in a shiny silver packaging while the old ones are in Grey.
I don't like any of the packaging because they just look cheap but for the price paid, can't complain about it.
It is now priced at USD2.45, used to be USD1.99. Not sure what upgrade they had done to the blushers.

I got mine in Sunlit Bronze and Stardust.

This is one of the more expensive product I got from this haul.
Milani Powder Bronzer in Light.
It is darker than expected, I should had gotten Radiant.

NYX powder blushers in Cinnamon and Pinky.
Orange and Bright Hot Pink are popular blush colours in Japan. If you can't get hold of Candy Doll's blushers, I suggest to try out NYX's.
You get more product from NYX compared to Candy Doll and it is also cheaper from NYX.

The last two items for this haul are the LA colors eyeshadow trios.
