Walk around Moscow : Olympics Gala Concert

After we flew back from Sochi to Moscow, we had the chance to watch the 'Olympics Gala Concert' in Luzhniki Stadium.
Since we didn't watch all figure skating events in Sochi. I thought it was a good chance since Virtue/Moir and Davis/White were participating in this gala event.

Before the Gala starts, I just had to go to GUM. It's like my only hang out place in Moscow.

The Olympic Rings decoration in GUM during the Olympics season.

Our tickets. We bought our tickets with a very discounted price for the afternoon sitting.
It's a working day, I guess there were many leftover tickets for the afternoon sitting.

Stage setting of the Olympic Gala with a live orchestra.

Davis/White.
They performed an exhibition to a Russian music.

Szolkowy/Savchenko performing to one of favourite free programme of the season - The Nutcracker.
It's so beautiful. This is 2nd time seeing this programme. Ofcourse in the gala, the programme is watered down.

Curtain call.

Rostelecom Cup experience

During 22.11.2013 till 24.11.2013, I had the best 3 days of my life.
I went to the 6th Grand Prix of the 2013/2014 season which is Rostelecom Cup or more widely known as the Cup of Russia

This time since Megasport complex is currently closed, the competition was held at the Luzhniki Minor Sports Arena
I got pretty excited because it is my first time going for a figure skating competition.
The banner outside the arena. Looks like Russian pair figure skaters Volozoshar/Trankov are their mascots.

The interior of the sports complex.

The first day, just before the ladies short programme. The girls, Haruka Imai, Nikol Giosvani, Satoko Miyahara and Mirai Nagasu were having their 6 min warm up.

The Kiss & Cry with Carolina Kostner and her coach.

German Pair skaters Savchenko/Szolkowy.

Famed-coach Brian Orser who coached Kim Yuna to Gold in Vancouver Olympics 2010 at the boards looking over his student, Javier Fernandez of Spain.

Japan's Machida Tatsuki after a beautiful short programme. Such a pity, just a 3T step out.
Otherwise, beautiful performance by him.

Men's Victory Ceremony.

Ice Dance Victory Ceremony
