Aliexpress haul #4

Right now, I don't believe in spending lots of money in brushes. Maybe someday, when I have the extra cash to splurge I would start spending on makeup brushes of MAC, Hakuhodo etc.

Aliexpress has many brush selections for a very affordable price.I thought this is the right place to try out as many brushes as possible. I have purchased quite a number of brushes since I need to change my brushes. My current set of brushes has been around for way too long, they need to retire like right now.

I got a highlighter brush, oval brush and two contour brushes.
Among these four brushes I have been loving the contour brushes, they are so dense and soft. They made applying contour so easy. They have been my staple contour brushes.
The oval brush is okay, I have not been reaching for it for my foundation routine. I have been reaching for the Real Technique Miracle Complexion Sponge and Beauty Blender for my foundation and concealer application.
The bristle feels a little plastic-like and for certain foundations, it applies the foundation slightly streaky and you definitely need to work with it. This is the reason I do not reach out for it often.
The highlighter brush is a little scratchy but it does the job.

The ten complexion and eye brushes set.
The eye brushes are too big for my Asian eyes. I need to find other ways to use them. The only usable brush is the brush at the most right. It is a nice pencil eye brush. Perfect for blending.
The complexion brushes is a little small, even so, they are still great.

I also purchased the replica for the Zoeva brushes.
I love the colour, the rose gold, it is just so elegant.
Zoeva is not ground breakingly expensive, why I purchased the replica? I wanted to buy the original Zoeva rose gold brushes but the mark up at my local Sephora is outrageous. When I visited Germany they only had the basic line in stores and the only way I could purchase the Rose Gold edition is through the official Zoeva website. International shipping can be slightly pricey and it is better value when purchased in bulk. I am still saving up items to purchase together and also money to purchase the original brushes. For now the replicas will do me good.

Haul : Chanel, Pupa and Brushes

I have lusting over the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel for quite some time. This product is not available in Malaysia. So, if I want it, I have to pick it up before I head home.
At the same time, I have picked up a few knicks and knacks.

The first item I got is a makeup brush for the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel bronzer. The Soleil Tan de Chanel is a cream bronzer and it requires a denser brush to work with it. My current bronzer brush is flimsy since all this time, I have been using powder bronzers.

Yves Rocher Bronzing Brush

I went into a few shops in search for the perfect bronzing brush and finally I have found it in Yves Rocher. Yves Rocher is not a brand I usually go for their makeup items, for me, they are better in the body care and skincare department.
I was pleasantly surprised to find them carrying a good line of makeup brushes. Not very extensive but a good line of basic makeup brushes.

This brush is a small dense dome shaped brush which is great for blending in cream product and the size is perfect for the hollows of the cheeks. Not to mention it is very soft too.

Pupa Vamp! Compact Eyeshadow in 201.

I really like Pupa makeup products. They are not very well known in the beauty community since they are hard to come by and not many countries carry this brand.
They have many great quality makeup items.

I love their eyeshadows, they are extremely smooth, buttery and pigmented.

201 is a salmon shade.

Last but not least, is the item I have been wanting to get for a long time. The Soleil Tan de Chanel.

I am so happy that I finally took the plunge and got it.

The bronzer is huge. It comes with 30g of product.
This product can seem really expensive but if you do the math, it does not seem to be all that expensive compared to most bronzers in the high end market. Even more, this product could last you for a very long time even using it on a daily basis because a little goes a long way.  Did not regret buying this at all.

The packaging is so sleek and Chanel with the glossy black lid and gold trimmed Chanel sign.

ELF haul.

Another ELF haul has just arrived.

I picked up two contouring blush and bronzing powder set in the two newly introduced colours. I own the original and I like the blush.
Also, I got the interesting Long-lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow. they remind me of the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill and L'oreal Infallible.
The brush I got free from the spree. I love their Studio Powder Brush and I own like a lot of back-ups of them.

Gala & Toast

The packaging is simple and sleek!

They are very shimmery!

Antigua and Turks & Caicos.

Turks and Caicos looks like a NARS Sin/Casino dupe.

It comes in a pink-champagne with gold shimmer blush side and red-toned dark brown bronzer.

The bronzer is definitely too dark on me but let's see how it is gonna work.

Antigua reminds me of NARS Angelika/Laguna duo.

It comes with a bright hot pink with gold shimmers at the blush side and a medium-tone brown-tone bronzer.

This is definitely gonna be my favourite duo from the ELF contouring blush and bronzing powder duo.

The three duos side by side.

I am back & an ELF haul

Left Moscow on the 29th. Now I am back in Malaysia.

It feels so great to be home.

Since now, i am at home, I have access to items I have getting online from the past year.
My Korean hauls are very messy and I still need to clear them up from the box and try to fit them in my makeup drawers (they are gonna explode soon)
so now I am going to post on my American hauls first.

My ELF haul.

These are the items I got from ELF.
The ELF HD Blush and the Tone Correcting Powder in shimmer are the ELF items that I am most excited about.

The Tone Correcting Powder comes in a matte black packaging.

The shimmers are really obvious in the pan
It is gonna make a great highlighting powder to give a luminous look.

ELF HD Blush.
I got mine in the colour headliner and diva.

The blush is actually really really tiny.
This is the size compared to a NYX lipstick.
The blush is really pigmented so a size like this should be able to last forever!

I can never have too many lipbalms because I basically run through them a lot.
The colours I got are Peaceful Pink and Mellow Berry.

Mellow Berry is a deep berry colour.

Peaceful Pink a medium shade pink.

ELF is one of my favourite dirt cheap cosmetic brand, some items work like a gem.
Usually they have 50% off their studio/mineral line which makes everything even cheaper.

Small makeup haul

Did a little buy at the near by beauty store.
Let me start with a rant.

I just don't know that this shop just hire rude arse ladies as their cashier and salesgirl of what.
The lady today was super rude. Just because I don't understand your language that well, you don't need to go humiliate me and go complain really loud to your colleagues and be rude to me.
I don't owe you anything, I am still paying for the items I purchase. So if you are unhappy because I am that foreigner in your shop, just keep your dissatisfaction to yourself or till I leave the shop, you didn't need complain to your colleagues loudly infront of me and you do not need to treat me as rude as hell at the counter while I was paying.
How disgraceful of that lady.

I bought a few items from the store, some are repurchases.

L'oreal Lumi Magique Foundation, Catrice EyeBrow Pencil and Essence Eyeliner Brush.
Another repurchase that is not in this picture is the Botaniqueserie makeup base and some toiletries.

The Botaniqueserie makeup base was on sale and placed at the end of the rack with only 2 tubes left. I am afraid they are gonna discontinue this product thus I pick up one tube as a backup since I like this product.

The L'oreal Lumi Magique Foundation.
I am very into a luminous look of late, I have been purchasing skin volumers, skin fixers, highlighters etc. Anything to make my skin have that healthy glow.
Lately my skin has changed, it has turned to normal - dry skin. My nose and cheek gets flaky if I don't moisturize them thoroughly. My T-zone don't secret as much oil as it used to,the oil only builds up after 6 hours? Don't know if it has to do with the weather or it is just that my skin is changing because I hit over 20.
This is most expensive drugstore foundation I've ever purchased.
The packaging is really sleek with the rose gold pump. I love rose gold, it is one of the prettiest colour ever.

I am kinda bumped that there is no testers at the store. I just chose the colour according to my instinct.
I chose the lightest colour available which is N1 Pure Pearl.
I hope it fits my skin tone.

Catrice EyeBrow Pencil in the darkest brown colour available.
I am growing out my hair so my roots are currently black, so it is better for me to switch back to a darker eyebrow pencil than using the eyebrow gel.
Just a normal eyebrow pencil for daily use and as a back up for the Etude House, I regretted I didn't bring back ups for the Etude House's.
I don't know if I like it yet, there wasn't any testers for this.

Eyeliner brush.
It's a repurchase. Eyeliner brush is essential for a gel eyeliner for me.

ELF haul - June

This is my ELF haul part 2. It is bigger than my first one.
The items I picked up are the items I mostly likely will use and interested in trying out.

ELF Studio Cream Eyeshadow in Dawn. It is a beautiful taupe but from the picture it doesn't look like it.
My camera and the lighting is washing the colour out a lot.
I am pretty shock to see the packaging, it is very bulky. It takes a lot of space. As you can see it compared to the ELF mineral booster-large in the first picture, they are almost the same size.

The ELF Mineral Booster in Sheer- Large.
It comes with 17.85g worth of product for USD8, which is a very good buy.

ELF Studio Glossy Gloss in Wild Watermelon and Pink Candy.
I heard lots of rave reviews about these glosses.
Wild Watermelon is a bright dark blue-toned pink.
Pink Candy is a baby pink, almost a nude colour.

ELF Studio Radiance Enhancer in Spotlight.
I never used the ELF shimmery facial whip in spotlight before so I can't compare this with the facial whips.
It has a lilac base which is great colour for a highlighter for pale skintones.

ELF studio matte lip pencil in TeaRose.
This colour has a purple undertone, I don't know if I can pull it off but it is definitely pretty.

I am gonna do a comparison between the ELF Studio Mineral Powder Brush and ELF Studio Blush Brush.
As you can see from the photo, size wise they look very similar.
The Mineral Powder Brush is small for a powder brush, I doubt it can function as a powder brush when you are in hurry and on the go. It is just too small for an over the face powdering.
And the ELF Studio Blush Brush is already small itself.

Left : ELF Studio Powder Brush Right: ELF Studio Blush Brush

The ELF Studio Powder Brush is fluffier and thicker than the blush brush, the blush brush is flatter and thinner.
If you own either one then I think there's no point getting the other.
Quality wise, they are very soft and doesn't shed at all (for mine atleast) after washing.

Getting the gold.

Nothing feels better than a whole bunch of items waiting for you at home.
Feels like Christmas.

Hora! When I opened the cupboard. My heart literally screamed in joy.
The amount of love packages for me.

I am start off with a mini ELF haul- part 1
Since I am at home now, I have more flexibility in taking photos and working around with the photos.

The first part of the ELF haul, I only got three items.
ELF Studio blushes in Fuchsia Fusion and Giddy Gold, ELF Studio Powder Brush.

The ELF Studio Powder Brush is the best foundation brush I have ever used.
When I do ELF hauls, I always buy one backup of it.

ELF studio blush in Fuchsia Fusion.
From reviews, it is said to be a dupe of NARS' Angelika. I do not own Angelika thus I can't give a comment on this.
This blush is a bright medium rose toned blush with slight blue base with lots of golden shimmers.
Very beautiful .

ELF studio blush in Giddy Gold.
I am not sure how to describe the colour of this blush. It is definitely not gold.
It is more of a orangy golden bronze. A great colour for summer.

MayDay

Happy May Day!

Let's start with  the bad news.
I split water on my blackberry now the keypads do not function at all! How frustrating.

Now let's go into the shopping buys.
It has been awhile since I went clothes shopping and finally I did a really small one!

Here are my buys.

First I got a bareback dress from Stradivarius.
I have been eying on this dress for the longest time ever.

It is really pricey but I have no regrets since It is absolutely gorgeous.

And i finally got my first platform heels from New Look.
Nude pumps. Just nice for any occasion.

It is really hard to find a stippling brush here, when I saw it I knew I had to get it since my ELF powder brush was shedding like a cat.
I bought a foundation brush but I don't really like it. Maybe I am just not used with the use of a foundation brush.

QVS Mineral Makeup Air Brush Stippling Brush.
Bought it for 330Rubles.

There's hardly any brush choice over here. QVS is like one of the only brush brands around here.

Well it is not as dense as I expect it to be. It doesn't bleed or shed when I washed it.
Haven't got the chance to use it yet.

I forgot to post about the flower crown I bought in NewLook
Here I am with my flower crown. Photo courtesy of my friend.

And a OOTD.

Dress : H&M
Flower Crown : NewLook
Shoes : NewLook

Just a very simple look.
