Winter holiday haul : Muller

During my winter trip, I was in Munich and everytime when I see a Muller, I basically pop into one. Damaged done, I did haul quite some stuffs from Muller.
I just can't resist those German beauty products especially Essence and Catrice. Astor and P2 did not grab my attention enough to make me pick up from them.
Eventhough we do have our own Essence and Catrice, some items are not brought over. Also, deals are so much better in Germany, especially on their soon to be discontinued items. 99 cents each. Who could resist the mark down.

Only Zoeva was from Douglas. The rest are from Muller and mostly marked down to 99 cents.
Actually, I did not do too bad with the hauling, I still feel like it is very under control.

Let's start off with the brush.

I expected to see a full range of Zoeva products in Douglas but sadly, only the basics brushes are available.
I just picked up one brush from the range which I really wanted. I wanted it in the Rose Gold version but since it is not avaible. Well, let's settle with the basic one for now.

It comes in a black handle and silver feral. It is very nice to the grip.
It has enough weight to it.

The brush is really soft and dense.
Perfect for buffing liquid foundation.

I really like Zoeva brushes. They are pretty affordable and the quality is so amazing.

Essence lipglosses.
I picked up the three shades that were marked down for 99 cents each.
"Shy Beauty" and "Taste the Sweets" are from the I love nudes collection, while "Fabulous Fuchsia" is from their normal line.

They are good lipglosses for the price.
They have decent pigmentation, not sticky and a nice consistency.

Essnece Plump no Clump Mascara

This was also 99 cents marked down on the rack. Another mascara to try out, why not.

From Right : Essence I love Nude Lipstick in Porcelain Doll and Essence Matt Velvet Lipstick in 07.

The Porcelain Doll shade was marked down. I wanted to try this shade for quite some time but just never got to getting it. When I saw it marked down, I grabbed the last tube standing.
Porcelain Doll is a light beige nude with peach tones.

For the Matt Velvets, it is a newly added range to their collection. 07 is a muted pinky-rose nude.
Stunning everyday shade.

With contouring and highlighting being the thing in the beauty community right now. I too have shamelessly jumped into the bandwagon.
I knew Catrice was releasing their own contouring palette but it wasn't brought over here yet for the longest time. It was in my to get list in Munich.
So glad I got it.

It comes with a ashy grey tone contour powder and a pinky champagne highlighter.

The shade I chosen is 01 Ashy Radiance.
It comes in two shades.

There's no microshimmer in the contour shade which is a good thing. It is a matte finish.
Meanwhile there's lots of microshimmers in the highlight shade for that extra pop.

Essence Pure Nude Powder

This is another item that I have been wanting to get. This product is another product that is not brought over. The items that were brought over from their Pure Nude collection is their concealer and foundation only.
I got the shade 03 because it was marked down to 99 cents. Shades 01 and 02 look like a better match on me from the pan but when I swatched all together it was so sheer that there were no difference in every shade. I have not tried it on my face, let's crossfingers that it does not turn out too dark on my face.

It is a baked powder. It reminds me of my MAC MSF Natural.

Catrice Defining Blush in Lilac-tric

I really like this shade, that is why I got it and being marked down is a bonus.

Lilac-tric is a pink lilac shade.
I feel shades like this are hard to come by and when I do see them, I usually pick them up.

Essence Silky Touch Blush in Kissable

This is the last item in this haul.

The shade Kissable is a reddish plum shade with gold shimmers.
It is a pretty unique shade in my collection as I do not recall owning such shade.  The shades I own are usually pinks or peaches.
This shade is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely a steal with the mark down price.

Next part of my winter holiday haul will be a massive Kiko haul. Stay tune!

Post exam haul : Essence & Maybelline

I casually dropped into the beauty store and picked up some beauty products.

Essence wake up spring collection were having a clearance so I picked up the two leftover items from the clearance bin. Essence always have cute trend edition products also known as limited edition.
These days I do not collect them as avidly as I used to. Just when there's clearance, I will pick them up if I happen too find them.
After clearance. they cost USD1 each which I think is a steal.

Essence Wake up Spring palette.

The shades are different tones of plum and pink shades. Very cute and girly.
The imprint on the eyeshadow is just so pretty.

Essence Wake up Spring blush in Apricot.

It is a apricot shade with slight shimmers.

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in Nude Flush.

I have heard not very good review on this Maybelline liquid lipstick but this shade is too pretty to pass by. It is such a gorgeous dusty pink shade.
There was a discount on these lipsticks so I thought it was not too bad to pick them up to try them out for myself.
I won't have high expectation on this product to not make myself disappointed with this product.

Drugstore haul : Bourjois, Pupa, Essence, Catrice, Art Deco

There are a few new releases that I wanted to try from Essence and Catrice. The other day I went to the other outlet of the beauty store and saw that they had stock for some items that weren't in stock in the outlet which I always go to. Besides that, they had a stand dedicated to Art Deco, which I picked up a few products from.

No make up feel foundation? I am all up for it. I am one of those girls who doesn't like thick foundation, the more natural and lighter the better.
When Essence launched a no makeup feel foundation, I am all for it.

This product was not in stock when I visited the beauty store I usually go to, but when I saw that it is in stock at the other outlet, I went ahead and grabbed it.

My shade is 10 pure beige and in MAC I am about a NC15- NC20. This fits me quite right from the swatches. Can't wait to try this foundation out.

Another foundation I picked up is from the brand PUPA. This brand is not really well known in the beauty community since they are not easy to get hold of. I am just fortunate that PUPA is really widely available over here.
So far, I have tried a few products from PUPA and I like them. They are really good quality drugstore products.

This time I just wanted to try a foundation from them so I picked up this PUPA Active Light Foundation.

I always like a luminous finish for my foundation compared to matte. So it is no brainer that I went for this foundation. Sign me in for anything that says luminous, dewy, light activating, light reflecting.

The name, Liquid Camouflage, High Coverage and Waterproof, just intrigued me.
It was just calling for me, I had to pick it up.
I hope this will work as a really good undereye concealer for me.

I bought this shade from Bourjois again because I love this shade.
When I was doing my blush routine I somehow just miss using this blush from Bourjois. Bourjois definitely have the best powder blushers in the drugstore market. They are so soft, pigmented and long lasting.
This shade Rose D'or is gorgeous, it is a medium pink with gold flecks. It gives the cheeks a beautiful blush with some highlight.

I did a swatch and short review on this shade before, you can check it out here

Up to this point of the post, I guess you could already see that I like my products to have an illuminating finish.
I picked up the Catrice Illuminating Blush in 030 Kiss Me Ken. It is a mix of a light and deep berry pink shade with silver glitters.

A closer look at the blush, you can really see the glitters from here.

The last items I picked up are three eyeshadows from Art Deco.
I have used Art Deco eyeshadows before and I do enjoy using them. They have a wide range of eyeshadows, I kid you not.
When I went to the stand, I saw like a ton loads of eyeshadows to choose from and I was having a tough time narrowing down my shade selections.

373 Glam Gold Dust
It is under the Glamour finish. I do not know what that means, but I am just gonna assume it means lots of glitter.
As you can see from the pan, the eyeshadow is loaded with gold glitters.

578 Matt Smoky Mauve.
The matte line from Art Deco are gorgeous. They are so pigmented upon swatching.
This shade like its name is a plummy brown shade.

18 Light Misty Wood.
This is a pearl finish. It is a beautiful shimmery cool toned brown.

That's all for the items that I have hauled this time.

Lip mania : Essence haul

Catching up with the current makeup trends, Essence has released their version of the liquid lipstick.
Ofcourse I have to head down the beauty store to get them to try them out.
At the same time, the beauty store has brought in Essence Longlasting Lipliner after so long it has been launched. I have mentioned it before but I am gonna repeat myself that I love Essence's lipliners. I think they make one of the best lipliners in the drugstore market. I have used their Longlasting Lipliners before and I love them, so I have to pick up more colours to expand my collection. The great part is, the lipliners are just so affordable. It does not break the wallet.

The shades I have picked up are Sweetcake and Lovely Frappucino.

Lovely Frappucino is a cool mauvy brown. It somewhat reminds me of Satin Mauve with a whole lot more brown.
Sweetcake is a pinky-rose.

I picked two shades from the liquid lipsticks. I have decided to pick up two shades first and give them a testdrive to see whether I like them or not before getting more shades.

The shades I got are Beauty Secret and Colour Party.

Beauty Secret is a dusty rose.
Colour Party is a baby pink.

Let's talk about the packaging, you could tell that Essence got the inspiration of the Liquid Lipsticks' packaging from Dior's Fluid Sticks. It comes with a sturdy transparent plastic tube with products filled inside to resemble a lipstick bullet shape and a plastic lid. The plastic lid looks cheap but actually it is quite sturdy. Essence packaging are not the best looking but they are sturdy enough. You pay for what you get.
It still looks cute and young.

mini haul : Essence & Catrice

Highlighters have been the craze in the beauty community of late. Everyone just want to have that stroke of glow on their face and yes, I am one of those persons too.
I just love highlight. It gives the face such a radiant and healthy look and it wakes up the face.

Catrice released a limited edition collection which came with a highlighter. I went to the beauty shop, solely just to get this highlighter but I did purchase something else in the middle.

I got a blush from the Essence "Happy Girls are pretty" trend edition. The design of the blush is too cute to resist which the heart in the middle. I just can't stop myself picking up anything with pretty design.

Catrice Luminizing Highlighter.

This highlighter is different from what I used to own. The shade is a rosy champagne. My highlighters usually lean pearl white, champagne gold or pink pearl shade.
This shade is a tad darker from my comfort zone.

I am excited to try this highlighter though. It is a gorgeous shade.
If it works out too dark on me, I am sure it will make a beautiful blush topper for that extra glow.

Essence "Happy Girls are Pretty" blush.
This blush is really cute, this is what really made me get this blush.

Too cute to resist.
Essence always have the cutest limited edition blushers that makes me could not resist collecting them everytime they release their limited editions.

Haul : Essence, Catrice & Maybelline

I used to talk about how I love going to the beauty store near the hostel on the 15th because they are always 15% off storewide on the 15th.
Now I live outside so I seldom head to beauty store as much as I used too. This time on the 15th, I was having exams and it so happened to take place in the university which is well, near the hostel and near the beauty store.

Just after the exams, I went to the beauty store to pick up some stuffs.
I got items mostly from Essence and Catrice. The odd one out is Maybelline.

Essence and Catrice are great German drugstore makeup brands with a few gems in their collection.
I own a fair bit of items from both brands and I love a lot of items that I own from them.

Catrice All Matt Plus Shine Control Powder in 010 Transparent

During my last trip, I broke my casing for my MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural. This winter, I am going on a trip again but I do not want to risk further destroying my MAC Mineralized Skin Finish since it is a pricey product so I picked up this powder as a backup.

It is a normal pressed powder, nothing too exciting. I just hope it work well in setting my makeup.
I don't have too high hopes on it.

Essence Hidden Stories Trend Edition Highlighter in Enter Wonderland.

This was at the clearance bin so I just picked it up since it was marked down to a ridiculously affordable price.
I do not own a highlighter of such shade. It is a lilac purple.

Essence I love Nude Eyeshadow in 06 Coffee Bean

I am searching for a dark shade. This shade just fits the bullet. It is pigmented and smooth upon swatching.
It's affordable and it does the job.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Creamy Mattes in Creme de Rose

I love the Maybelline Color Tattoos, they work really great as bases, they are so comparable to the MAC Paint Pots for a fraction of the price.
When Maybelline launched the Creamy Mattes edition. I wrote in it my to get list. It took me awhile to get it though because the beauty store has a chronic out of stock issue with the Color Tattoos but I totally get why.
The only shade available was Creme de Rose, Creme de Nude is still in out of stock mode. I will be hunting that baby down as soon as it gets back in stock.

It is a creamy rosy nude shade.

Catrice Alluring Reds Liquid Lipstick in Brigette Bordeaux.

This was also in the clearance bin. I picked it up because of the shade.
It is such a beautiful dusty rose shade. It is such a perfect everyday shade.

Essence Eyeshadow brush

My old eyeshadow brush is dying, I have been using that brush for 5 years, so it is time to retire that brush. So, I need an eyeshadow brush replacement and I got this.

The eyeshadow brush is in pink which is so cute.
I really like the design of Essence brushes. I find them super cute and girly.
