Oops.. I did it again. A Watson's haul.

Don't you just love popping into the drugstore on the look out for some cheap or affordable thrill. I know I am one of those people.

When I was on my winter trip to UK, the image of Superdrug is vividly imprinted in my mind. The huge stands of cosmetics just made me glee like a little girl in a candy store. I remembered how much items I had bought from the Collection stand but I missed out the most popular item. The Perfection Concealer. I still have no idea why I didn't check on it maybe then I didn't think I need a concealer but my skin was worse off then.

Now I am so glad that Collection had made its way to Malaysia so I don't to save on the lipsticks I am using because I don't know when is my next trip to UK and I could get my hands on the oh so highly raved concealer.

I got the concealer in the 2nd lightest shade Light 2. I don't think I am English Rose fair to use the fairest shade of them all. I haven't tried the concealer on yet but I have swatched it. It is really creamy and with high coverage.

If you had missed my UK haul. I will link it here

The next item Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon. This is my first Super Lustrous lipstick and I am really excited about it. I had to control myself not to hoard the whole stand of lipstick.
In the end I settled for only one shade.

Pink in the Afternoon is a warm medium pink with peach undertone. I find it is the most appealing and wearable pink in the collection.
It is said to be inspired by the lipstick shade that Audrey Hepburn wore in 'Breakfast in Tiffany's". Audrey Hepburn is my style inspiration, she is such a gorgeous lady. This just gets me more excited for the lipstick.

Australia Makeup haul

I got these sorted out fast since I didn't get much beauty items from Australia.
I was finding for BYS cosmetics but I can't them anywhere so I gave up and I didn't see anything I particularly wanted from Face of Australia and Australis.

These makeup items I picked all of them up from DFO South Wharf in Melbourne, Australia except for the Smooch Lipstick which i picked up from My Chemist.
There's a small cosmetic store right there, I forgot the name but I guess it wouldn't be a hassle to find it since it is the only cosmetic store i've seen there.

The three lipsticks I got.

Rimmel by Kate Moss.

I think Rimmel has pulled out from Malaysia because i haven't been seeing any Rimmel counters in the local drugstores. Correct me if I am wrong.

Anyway I've never seen Kate Moss Lipstick anywhere in Malaysia so since it was just AUD6.

26 is a brown nude.
On my NC20 skintone, this isn't a washout nude on me.

I also got this for AUD6.

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in 035 Blush

It is definitely a nude colour, but a brown-nude and a my lips but better nude on me.

Smooch lipstick. What actually made me got them is their super girly packaging. I am always drawn to packagings.

I am kinda surprise that this is a UK brand because during my visit in the UK, I have never came across this brand.

The lipstick packaging is a matte packaging with lace details. Sweet and girly looking.

Prom Punch is a berry colour.
It retails at AUD4.99 at My Chemist outlets.

That's all the makeup I got from Australia.

of Cream Puffs and Balm Stains

It has been a long time since I did a FOTD.

Here are the list of products I used for the look.

The most exciting product is the Tony Moly Pure Aura CC Cream. It was my first time using it.

The cream and the micro-capsules.

On to the cream,
The coverage is definitely VERY sheer. There's hardly any coverage at all. It smoothens pores, hides some discolouration of the skin and gives the skin a healthy dewy look.
It is very light on the skin, it feels like you didn't apply anything on the face.
CC Cream can be used as a base for foundation or BB cream if there isn't enough coverage for the face.

Lasting power wise, it last really long, I had it on for about 12 hours and by the end of the day, it is still there.

FOTD :

I have been loving the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain. It is moisturizing and long-lasting!
It last the whole day with meals.

OOTD :
a little black dress from Zara.

At night I went to Shangri-la hotel for buffet.
There's a variety of choices ranging from local cuisine to western cuisine to chinese cuisine.
There's also dessert and sashimi.

The great dessert.
I love the cream puffs.

Before I went for buffet, I was actually shopping. I am going to post my clothing haul later.

I went to Watsons again, this time I picked up another colour of the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains.

The shade is 020 Lovesick.
I wanted 025 Valentine but it was out of stock so I settled with 020 Lovesick. Maybe I would go Watsons  on a later date and check whether they stocked up.

Little drugstore haul

Yesterday I stepped into Watsons and got a few items from there.

Watsons is an Asian drugstore chain that carries healthcare and beauty items.
Watsons in M'sia carries Western, Japanese ,Korean, HK , local and etc. brand of cosmetics. The last I saw they carry :
Western brands : L'oreal, Maybelline, Revlon
Japanese brands : ZA, Majolica Majorca, Heavy Rotation, Kiss Me, KATE, Eyemazing (by Komori Jun), Freshel
Korean brands : Luview, Touch in Sol, PeriPera, Clio
Other brands : In2it, Elite, Silky Girl

There maybe other brands they are carrying that I missed out.

Mostly all lip items and a pimple gel.

The Maybelline baby lips are so highly raved everywhere and I am so late jumping on jumping the bandwagon.

My friends were raving so much about this on how it moisturized her lips so well and how they feel so good on the lips.
I have been wanting to get them but in Moscow they were not available, so I had to wait till I get back to get them.

I wanted to get them in the glow version but then I saw the color version, they were slightly cheaper than the glow version and they look fun and cute!
I will go back and get the glow versions someday.

There were 3 colours available : Pink Lolita, Rose Addict and Coral Flush.
I picked up two out of three colours.

Coral Flush is an orange colour.

Pink Lolita is a medium pink colour.

Since they are lip balms, these product swatches sheer with a flush of colour.

My poor Revlon Kissable Balm Stain that I ruined the tip when I was removing the plastic covering it.

The colour I got is 015 Cherish Devoted.

It is a bubblegum pink.

I tried these on, and bam! I LOVE IT.
They are so moisturizing, smooth, creamy, pigmented and the list goes on and on. I just fell in love with this product.

Looks like I need to get myself running back to the drugstore to pick up more colours.

Swatched on the lips.
The colour is so pretty~~~

In2it Gel tint in 02 Strawberry

I wasn't going to get this but i saw that it was under RM10 so i just grabbed it up.
There are 4 colours to choose from.

I also got a little something from Daiso.
A plastic container for me to organize my ever growing collection of lip products.
I do own a lot of lip products ^^;;

Friday, August 3, 2012

it's Friday.

This is a tiny haul I did few days ago in Sasa and our local pharmacy.

Sasa is having a promotion on the Dr G Gowoonsesang BB cream at buy two for RM99 which I thought is a pretty good deal. The offer last till today.
I picked up two tubes for myself.

each tube comes with 45ml since would be able to last you for a good while since you do not need much when applying since it is pretty thick and creamy.

It comes with a traditional squeeze tube like most traditional BB creams but even so the product won't flow out of the tube and get messy because of the creamy texture.

Here is the description of the BB cream.

Majolica Majorca Mono Eyeshadow in BR784
I got this because I had a RM20 off voucher. So I didn't pay much for this.

The label at the back.

It is just a medium brown with shimmers.
Very beautiful.

The last thing I got is this highly raved product.
The Revlon Lip Butter.

The colour I got is in Strawberry Shortcake.

Revlon Foundation review and a little clothing haul

A package arrives.
Excited to see the inside?
It some clothes I ordered from a blogshop few days ago.
The maxi dress is the prettiest of all three pieces I ordered although it's a bit short for me. Above ankle.
Another review on my foundation review-a-thon.

This time it's the Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation. Mine's in combination/oily formula and the shade is 200 Nude.

It comes in 30ml with a clear glass bottle and frosted black cap.
It cost about RM59.00 (USD18.61) in my country but I got it when it was on sale. I forgotten how much I payed for this bottle.

It promises a natural and flawless look with oil-control and shine free. It's also transfer resistance.

I wore this from 7am to about 4pm. The foundation is still intact. Infact it adheres so much to the skin it's so hard to get it off.

There's visible shine after 5-6 hours at my T-zone area but that can be fix with loose powder and blotting paper.
The coverage is medium to full.
Formulation wise it's more liquidy than creamy. What irks me the most is its packaging. Gosh! why can't there be a pump. This isn't practical at all.
If you are not careful. You will pour too much and it will go to waste.
The finishing is very nice. It gives a matte finish but not too matte that it makes you look dead.
It's slightly on the heavy side compared to the Chanel Mat Lumiere liquid foundation.

So far, I didn't break out from this product.

For the price, it's a great product. One of the best liquid foundation I've ever tried.
I would recommend this foundation to those who can't afford a highend brand foundation or even if you can afford an expensive foundation. This is worth the try and worth it.

My new foundation in the collection!

Another not a really loot post.

I went to my local drugstore to pick up another foundation. I will be going to the island after my exam with my maties. Yes to the beach and pool.

I picked up the the Revlon Colorstay Foundation in combination/oily formula.
My colour is 200 Nude . I am a NC20 for reference. There's 180 Sand Beige but it has yellower undertone. My face has pinkier undertone compared to the rest of my body that's also why my face and neck never matches. :(

I bought it with discount. Originally it is RM59.00 (USD17.10).
It comes with SPF6. SPF is good no matter how low it is especially ewhen you live in a tropical country.

I also wanted to pick up the Rimmel Stay Matte but the lightest shade is 103 which shows a bit of orange undertone on my face. I realize most Rimmel foundation are a bit orange for me.
Let's see how it goes, i might picked it up since I do not have much foundation and I am eager to try the drugstore's foundation all out!

Eying on Rimmel's Stay Matte and L'oreal's True Match ( My mum's using the two way cake of this to set her foundation, and it looks so good and last the whole day long).
