TheBodyShop sale buy

TheBodyShop in Moscow has a massive sale going on with products ranging from 20% off to 60% off.
They had a 40% offer on their body mist and fragrance range. Since the deal was really good, I ended up picking a body mist.

Amazonian Wild Lily

I really like the scent of this body mist. It is very fresh and floral. I am terrible at describing scents. So, if you pop into the shop, please take a sniff to try out the scent.
Anyway, this scent makes you feel alive and fresh. Just reminds me of nature.
Picking up with 40% off, it is such a steal.

If you live in Russia, check out the website for the deals.

Hello June : Mini buy - Thebodyshop

Hello everyone, I  can't believe it, it's already June. June is going to be a very busy busy month for me as I have finals to catch up with. The subjects are just a killer.
Thus, I won't be blogging as much.

I am going to insert a naughty purchase over here.

I just made a massive makeup haul and I know I shouldn't buy anymore makeup but I just went into The Body Shop and not realizing , I came out of the shop with this product.

The Body Shop Baked to Last Bronzer in Golden Beige.

It contains shimmers but it is not very visible on the skin. The lady in the shop tried the bronzer on me and it looks really good, I didn't notice much of the shimmers on my skin, it gives a very beautiful golden bronze on the skin, it doesn't transfer to my skin looking orange.

Other than the lady trying on me in the shop, I haven't tried it out yet as it is so close to finals, I am not in the mood to put any makeup on but they will put into good use soon as after finals, it's summer holiday!

A walk in the park

It has been a great weather yesterday with lots of sunshine and temperate weather at 15 degree celcius.

I went out for a stroll since I have 4 days off.
I went for a stroll at GUM, Red Square. They were prepping up the square for the 9th of May Victory Day celebration.

I stopped by Stolovaya 57 for a quick lunch.
It is a soviet style cafeteria that offers budget Russian food at the top floor of GUM. The concept is you take your own try and choose your starters, main course meal, soups, side dishes and desserts.
The price is not exactly the cheapest for cafeteria food but definitely very affordable if you are finding a budget eat out in the heart of Red Sqaure.

This is my meal.
Chicken salad with prunes, Buckwheat with mushrooms and meatballs and Vatrushka ( Bread with cottage cheese filling)

It is a very satisfying lunch, I couldn't even finish all I ordered and even shared my portion.

After lunch, we headed to the park in Sokolniki.
There's so many activities going on in the park and there's a lot of food there too.

I saw a group of old grannies and gramps having their own ballroom dance, it's fun to see the old folks having a fun time.
There was even a small bazaar in the park selling various honeys, pirogs, pirozhkis, rulets, all mainly Russian cuisines. There were even Mochi Sweets, which is extremely overpriced compared to the price in Malaysia and also Indian cuisine cooked by Indians.

A selfie of the day.

My makeup for that day is pretty subtle. I am using my Laneige BB Cushion topped with my MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural.
Lipstick is Maybelline Popstick in Tropical Pink. I am so sad this has been discontinued because I really enjoy this lipstick. Everyone says it is rubbish but surprisingly it gives me a lot of colour on my lips, maybe it is because I got pale lips.

Look at greenery behind me. I love the colour of Spring. The leaves are in such a fresh green colour.
Unfortunately the leaves are going to turn into a mature green soon. So enjoy the fresh green before its gone.

Also, I finally stopped by The Body Shop to pick up the Honeymania Eau de Toilette which I have been lemming after so badly.
There's a 40% off for the Honeymania line which is great.
This eau de toilette is such a great steal.

I am so happy with this purchase because I really love the scent of this perfume.
I am going to smell like floral honey after this.

May day : The Body Shop haul

Happy The 1st of May Lovelies.

Weather has been great outside this week and may the blooming flowers welcome the great beautiful warm month of May.
Yesterday my groupmates and I had a barbeque party in the park. It has been great to be barbeque-ing after not doing it for a long time. There were too much food and I ate too much.
So today I am having a bad bloated stomach day.

On the otherhand, on facebook a promo for The Body Shop has been circulating around. I took advantage and got a few items from The Body Shop.

I picked up only three items, nothing too much.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner.

I like the Vitamin E range from The Body Shop. I think it is their best line. I have tried the illuminating cream and facial oil from this line and I really like them.
Since my toner is almost gone. I thought I should just try out this toner.

The Body Shop Honeymania Body Butter.

This range was on sale in the store. I picked this Body Butter up because of its scent.
It smells so amazing! It has a floral-ish honey smell. I can't help sniffing it from the tub since the day I got it. I am so addicted to the scent.
Now I am thinking whether should I pick up the Eau de Toilette since I am so obsessed with the scent.

Approving the Honeymania line.

Lastly the last item I picked up from The Body Shop is an item that Estee from Essiebutton raves about.
It is The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder.

I am not a very bronzer type of girl but something about this bronzer just keep screaming 'try me!'
I am quite a fair skin girl not English Rose fair and will never be that fair. Even for my skintone, it is quite hard to find a bronzer that isn't high-end that doesn't look too dark or muddy or sometimes worse, comes up straight up orange on my skin.

The Body Shop bronzers are very subtle on fair skin, it is like they are especially tailored for the fair skin ladies.

The shade I picked up is in 01 Light Matte

The bronzer is engraved with a honey comb pattern on the powder.

There is no shimmer or glitter in the bronzer. It is basically a fool-proof bronzer on fair skin since it is pretty light. It gives a hint of colour on the skin instead of the sunkissed look.
It has a slight reddish tone in it but it doesn't bother me at all.

For reference, the last time I matched myself I am a NC20 in MAC but it was when I was spending more time in my tropical country, now I might be fairer since I have been spending most of my life in Moscow.

A few days ago when I was in the hypermarket, I picked up the Garnier Micellar Water which many people sing praisea about and it comes with a pricetag doesn't break the bank.

I can't wait to start using it after using up my L'oreal Micellar Water.
On the other note, I also spotted Nivea releasing their own version of the Micellar Water. Got to love these cleansing waters, they are just so gentle on the skin

A little mix of everything

I bought this on a whim when I went into The Body Shop because I had small spots at that time and I just wanted something anti-acne.

It is the Tea Tree Blemish Gel.

I don't know if It helped, because my skin has pretty much cleared up, it could just be a random sudden breakout that goes away really fast or this gel is wonder.
I have to use it a few more times to see whether this gel gave me the results.

That day when I went out, I tried a bolder look. I don't like my eyes fully lined with eyeliner because it makes my eyes look smaller but I can't help giving it another try since I've seen so many artist going for the bold eyes look.

I don't know if I like this look, my roommate commented that it didn't really suit me but my blockmate kind of like it.
I used dark blue eyeshadow and lots of black eyeliner.

The finished look. An overall dark look.
The camera is washing me out really badly. The lip product I used is the Essence Stay with Me Lipcream in Smooth Berry but sadly in this picture it is washed out really badly.

It is clearer with my phone camera. I did a gradient lip with the lip cream, I don't want it to be too overpowering since the eye makeup is bold.

I went to Hard Rock Cafe for a birthday celebration.

Honestly I don't enjoy the food in the Moscow's branch of Hard Rock Cafe.

This is what I ordered. I forgot the name of this meal.

The chicken was really dry, I was really hard to go through the meal.
This is the 2nd time I visited the restaurant. The first time I went, I don't remember enjoying their food too.

Their birthday offer is pretty great though, there is a free parfait for the birthday person and also free wine for the whole table.

The Body Shop : Seaweed Toner (first impression)

I ran out of my Naruko toner and sadly enough, you could not get Naruko over here (I really heart that Naruko toner to death!). And the mail man hasn't send my Gmarket order over, I ordered some toners from there.

Since no toner in the drugstore caught my eye because most of them contain alcohol, I am not a fan of alcohol since it dries the skin out, my bad experience with the L'oreal Pure Zone toner.
So, I went to The Body Shop since I checked on their toner and it is alcohol free.

After checking so many reviews, I picked up the Seaweed range toner.

First Impression,
It does have a really strong fragrance, It is not choking for me but I think it is for most.
The texture is not exactly watery, maybe because of the glycerin. I can feel the texture of the glycerin as I apply this toner which is not a bad thing since glycerin locks the moisture in the face.
It cleanses the skin, purifies it. So far,it didn't break me out.
I haven't see any faults on this toner yet.

I have to use it longer to see its full potential.  I will write a longer review when I am almost done with this bottle.

Body Shop Christmas buy

Merry Christmas Eve!

TheBodyShop is having a christmas sale up to 50% off, there are lots of things I still wanna try from the TheBodyShop thus, I took this chance and got a few items.

My items are all on 30% off.

Tea Tree oil, Tea tree skin clearing lotion and Vitamin E Illuminating moisture cream.

I'm still finding a cure for my problematic skin and at the same time trying to cure my dry skin.

My friends who have used this tea tree range has raved about the products, so I picked out some to try, the lotion and the oil.
I got sold by the word "skin clearing" for the lotion.
I used to use tea tree oil to cure minor breakouts but I left it for my sister to use at home.

It comes in a 50ml squeeze tube which is really hygienic.
From what I had tested, the lotion is really light weight and it doesn't feel greasy at all. It absorbs into the skin really fast.
Great for those with oily skin.

Tea Tree Oil comes in tiny amount of 10ml.
10ml last for a long time for tea tree oil unless you are splashing it all over your face which is a must not because tea tree does dry out the skin.
Just dab it on huge acne and it will sort of subside the acne but won't completely disappear it. Nothing is a magic potion.

Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream.
Despite having some breakouts, my skin is actually very dry. I had tried the Vitamin E facial oil, so far, I had seen some improvement on my dry skin.
So I also opted to get the moisture cream. I chose the illuminating one because I am into everything that gives me a healthy glow.
A glowy skin gives the illumination of a healthy skin.

It is a pink cream with subtle shimmers.

Little Winter Things

it's the 15th again! It's haul time, mini haul to be exact.

Before this, I went to the store and saw the Catrice new collection, I was deciding whether to get it or not and my friend told me not to, so I listened to her and guess what?

It's now on clearance sale for 99rubles each. That's a huge drop!!

So my itchy hands picked up 3 items from the collection.

Isn't the packing mighty gorgeous. I fell for the packaging.
It's so classy.

It comes with a detailed packaging. It is very hard to take the picture of all the details.

The colour combination for this palette is pretty weird with the red. I doubt I would use the red but the rest of the earth colours are so pretty, especially the champagne.

The packaging of the lipsticks are really pretty too.

The two colours I got, Nude Warm and Cherry Bomb.

The lipsticks are totally matte. I am more of a fan of cream lipsticks but it is no harm trying these matte lipsticks since they are currently so cheap.
This is Nude Warm. Just like its name, a matte nude.
This is the last piece, I am glad I manage to dig it up from the pile.

Cherry Bomb.
A matte coral colour. This is the prettiest colour out of the bunch.
There's a matte red colour which I didn't get.

The Body Shop had a 30% sale storewide, I just grabbed an item.

The Vitamin E facial oil. I needed a facial oil since I left my Palmer's one at home.
I spilled part of the oil already and I am sad.
I used it a little and I don't really like its consistency, it is really oily and doesn't absorb well into the skin.

Colours in white.

Since the hypermarket stocked up with more cheap nailpolishes. It screams haul time.

There's a lot of colours. Say goodbye to pitiful nailpolish collection I have here. I can experiment with more colours.

I stopped by Body Shop and got myself a tub of body butter since my old one is finishing.
For Body Shop's body butters a little goes a long way and they are the best dry skin savers, for me. Just applying them religiously daily, I can get baby soft skin even during the harshest of winter.
Coconut scent is heavenly. I love coconut scented stuffs reminds me of my tropical homecountry.

A try out of yesterday's Fennel mascaras I bought.

Volume Rich.
It does make my lashes more voluminous than before applied but not as much as desired. Doesn't clump . Doesn't hold curl at all. Very easily removed with oil-based eyemakeup remover and water. Smudges when you rub your eyes or in contact with water.
Overall good mascara for its price

Natural Fiber.
This one is more clumpy and doesn't hold curl at all. It does lengthen my lashes a little but I do not see any fiber in the mascara. Smudges when you rub your eyes or in contact with water.
Very easily removed with oil-based eyemakeup remover.
Also a good mascara for its price.
