fav. gyaru models

Today I am gonna do a special post on the Japanese fashion models that inspires me.

Let me tell my story first.

I first encountered Gyaru when it was 2005/6. I still remember the first Popteen that I bought.

The one with Ai Otsuka on the cover.

I didn't buy it because I knew about gyaru and liked the gyaru fashion. Then all I knew is Japanese fashion, I categorised everything into one. The Japanese Fashion.

I bought it because Ai Otsuka was on the cover and I wanted a Japanese fashion magazine myself.

Then I have been reading Popteen till this very day.

I went through lots of style changes and model changes.

Ok let's cut the ramble now and I am gonna show my inspirations.

1. Funayama Kumiko ( Kumicky)

Her style is usually sweet and cute and clean which I like. She rocks every style she puts out!

Her makeup is always sweetly done and is simple but still very on point Gyaru. She doesn't go over the top with her makeup (ie too much black eyeliner, thick and long bottom lashes) which I like. It's also very fun to follow her blog and read about her monthly on Popteen. Her undying love for Chopper is so cute. And she has good music taste. In the September issue she recommended listening to Motohiro Hata (Those who hasn't listen to Motohiro Hata has to listen to him, he's what I call a good musician. click here) and she likes Yusuke-san.

When she raves about a makeup item or fragrance, I am sure dying to try it out because who doesn't wanna try stuffs that your style idol tried out and loving it.

She's my style idol and she's the same age as I am.

2. Kawanishi Miki (Mikipon)

She's a very hardworking gyaru on makeup kenkyuu, she's also a gamer. She often studies on famous people's makeup like Hirako Risa, Ayumi Hamasaki, KARA etc.
She's not the type of model that stands out at first sight, it takes awhile to notice her but after knowing about her. She's lovely.
Her style is very ladylike. Her makeup is girlish and simple. Nothing over the top
She also mentioned on liking RADWIMPS.

The rest is in random order and I am not gonna put any explanation.

Rainy Friday

Looks like I don't going to eatery, eating alone.

Had Kimchi Ramen today with lots of chili powder. I keep topping

chili powder till I sweat.

I heard chili is good for loosing weight.

Quite a big bowl.

I don't like the camera quality for blackberry.

Off to Etude House to get more mask. So reasonable and cheap.

Collagen one is the one recommended by Matsumoto Ena.

She pretty much recommended all the collagen mask from Etude House.

Parcel came!

Look what I got.

Missha BB cream.
I've heard many raves about it. I got it since my Shills one has died on me.

What it claims.

The tube of BB cream.
It comes in 50ml.

I also requested this sample from the seller.

Kumicky and Rui seems to be using this BB cream and raving about it.
I wanna try first before I buy it since this BB cream is more expensive than usual.

They Korean cosmetics boom now makes me lust more for Korean cosmetics.

But, anyhow quality wise still Japanese cosmetics is much better.

I got a new favourite Popteen model.

It's Sano Yukiko (Yukinoko)

I like her style and I think she's pretty.

I also like it how she likes Takarazuka =3

Thursday haul~

A OOTD. I wore the see-through style black top and jeans.

Did some haul.

Bought truck loads (actually it's just 5 books) of magazines.

3 books of ViVi, 1 Scawaii and my favourite Popteen.

When I read them while I am exercising, they somehow inspire me. So, it is a must get!

From, Sasa.

It's the famous DollyWink eyeliner.
It is a repurchase. I like the fact the tip is so fine, makes eyelining really easy.

There's the limited edition version.
I didn't buy it because I didn't like the packaging of the limited edition one, I still think the original one is the cutest.

I went to this shop because of how the Popteen girls were talking about Korean brand products and there's sale.

Mask was on sale. 5 pieces for RM12.
Such a bargain.
I got this because Matsumoto Ena recommended this mask.
Models really have the power to make me get something =.=

The more I read what models use, the faster I go broke but this mask is cheap too, doesn't dent the wallet.

Etude House precious minerals BB pact.

IKKO-san recommended Etude House's BB items, Marimo raving about it along with other Popteen girls. It is on sale.
Anymore reason not to get it?

Packaging is simple. Nothing too extravagant.

Cherry Red Lips

After such a long wait, I picked up my Popteen March 2010 issue
Kumicky on the cover and back cover.

There's a few pages that I really like. One of them is, models rocking red lips.
Red lips are certainly bold but if done properly, you will look like a glamourous red carpet star.I like red lips because it looks flattering on my skintone. I don't know it makes my skin appear fairer!
I remembered I once bought an expensive red lipstick just for prom night.

My rendition for Red Lips.I was using Wet n Wild Lipstick in Cherry Frost.
One of my cheap red lipsticks. =P

Life has been tough and busy for me lately.
My trials are in a months time and ofcourse I have to work really hard.Anyhow I NEED to get into a university before my parents slay me off!
Have been chasing after to get signature for my testimonial. I am glad I am done with it.

Stomach have been bloaty too. urghhhh!

Popteen and Etude.

It's another super hot day, I feel like my brain has been baked and grilled.

I picked up the December 2009 issue of Popteen today. It is the Chinese edition.
It's much cheaper than the normal Japanese copy but most issues are back dated.Kimicky is so cute on the cover.
I don't care if some people dislike her but I adore her to the max!

Also I visitedthe super pink Korean cosmetic store! I collect their paper and plastic bags. Just because they are really pretty. Such a packrat, jeeeezzzz!

I am seriously gonna slap myself if I don't get this. This line is on 50% off.
I know I am an ala cheapskate.

Magic BB balm. I saw Kumicky using it in Popteen November 2009 issue. The only difference between mine and her's is she's using the magic bb cream which has less concealing power than this has. I am more interested in balms since I have the creams.

The actual product.It comes with a handy foundation brush. The brush is super soft. I love when products come with good quality brushes.

I wanted to get the blushers from Etude too but the Sugar Cookie Blush in Pink that I wanted was out of stock.
Then I went to search for Majolica Majorca, the blush in PK333 was out of stock too.
My luck.

I wore my GEO lens for 10 hours straight today and i didn't feel any discomfort.Although it is not recommended to wear more than 6-8 hours. The lens only started to dry on me during the 10th hour.

Tomorrow I am having last test! Way to go!
Tonight I have to eat Chemistry, bath chemistry and sleep chemistry.

Kinokuniya and gyaru stuffs spotting

Today I decided to try out the cheap generic falsies which I got from the night market.

It looks like this,
They are plastic. Not as soft as the human hair ones I have but they are sturdy and can be reused for like 10 times if cared properly



The effect seems pretty nice.

Went to Kinokuniya for a check of mags. Picked up Popteen February issue.Kumicky is super cute on the cover! love her.

Also I saw Tsubasa's Minnie Mouse book. I think it is a book about her designs.
It was pretty pricey, for me.

and also I went to my local drugstore to pick up something that Popteen raves about.
I also partially did it since my moisturizer was gonna deplete after serving me for a whole good 6 months?
I got the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Milk!
I tried the tester, it made my skin so freaking soft! like baby's butt (just a comparison).

In between I also did Chinese New Year shopping.
I got a dress and a top from Padini Authentic.
Topshop disappointed me. I can never find anything I like there.
Maybe, it doesn't suit my style of clothing?

No pics because I sent all my clothes into the laundry for cleaning.
I always wash new clothes before I wear them, you just don't know who tried them before.

Eyelash bargain and Popteen

bargain bargain!! I got cheap falsies from the night market! =DToo bad they are made out of plastic but this one ain't too bad, it is not shiny.
Also, I like the design.
Too bad I can't get any close to M.A.C's no.7 design. The design for no.7 is gorgeousss!!

Also I got popteen. I know I am a bit late, this is an old issue but too poor, have to buy Chinese edition.
Almost all the models on the front page! The colours looks really halloweeny. lol

kawaii yo kumicky-chan. Love her fake lash skill, she way she put makes her eyes looks big and cute. me ga kuri kuri..

I don't care if you hate this style and think it is too much. I love it.
So don't come and say " oh this is too much! natural is beautiful, simple is beautiful"
You don't need to tell me what to do. I know what am I doing myself.
Some people are just.... >_>

Pink Blushes

I roamed around DAISO during Friday just to get some cleansing cream but I couldn't help it when i saw a super hot pink blush!
Me likey!!!

Actually I am still looking for the perfect pink blush. Like the one Tsubasa or Kumicky uses.
It gives such a pretty pink glow.

unfortunately, NARS isn't unavailable here. For Canmake, that day I went to Sasa but they don't seem to have this colour I wanted, PW20, maybe I should check out the KLCC or Sg. Wang branch. Maybe they will have them.
Kumicky uses RMK and it is a wee bit pricey for me. RM130+(??) for a blusher T_T

Daiso's one is really a steal for its price. So pigmented and pretty!

First Post!

Welcome to my girly girly blog.

I ordered more lashes! I wanted the style that Kumicky uses but I can't seem to find it and I do not wanna buy M.A.C's because it is a bit too expensive for me.
I only stuffs that I am willing to spend a fortune for now on is foundation, face powder and concealer.
I got this style


Looks a bit scary but I guess it will work! ^.^
If not, I'll hop to the night market to get some bargains.
Hopefully it won't be too volumizing~!

I got colour eyeliners too!
I saw Suzu used it




she looked so good and i thought i just had to get one myself!
I do not care now, I am gonna pull it like Suzu!
