Drugstore haul : Maybelline and Boujois

Just hit the beauty store real quick the other day and picked up a few items that were on sale.

Maybelline Dream Satin Fluid

Never had much luck using Maybelline's foundation. When I use to used their foundations about 4-5 years ago, I always find them to be too pink or orange on my skin or they just look bad on me.
With the Maybelline Dream Satin Fluid on sale, I just wanted to give Maybelline another try and wish that this foundation would work on me.
From the swatches the shade seems a good match for me and the texture is really light.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creme de Nude

This is one of their new matte shades collection released here. The reason getting this is because it is said to be a great dupe to the MAC Paint Pots.

Creme de Nude is a yellow nude shade.
It is good eyeshadow base shade for someone of my skintone.

The Bourjois little pot blushers are on sale. I was so thrilled to find them more than half price off.
These are one of my favourite drugstore blushers and I have been collecting them with every chance I have.

This time I picked up two extra shades.

The first one being Ambre D'or

Ambre D'or is a true peach shade with gold shimmers

Rose Eclat

Rose Eclat is a matte rose shade

Drugstore haul : Bourjois, Pupa, Essence, Catrice, Art Deco

There are a few new releases that I wanted to try from Essence and Catrice. The other day I went to the other outlet of the beauty store and saw that they had stock for some items that weren't in stock in the outlet which I always go to. Besides that, they had a stand dedicated to Art Deco, which I picked up a few products from.

No make up feel foundation? I am all up for it. I am one of those girls who doesn't like thick foundation, the more natural and lighter the better.
When Essence launched a no makeup feel foundation, I am all for it.

This product was not in stock when I visited the beauty store I usually go to, but when I saw that it is in stock at the other outlet, I went ahead and grabbed it.

My shade is 10 pure beige and in MAC I am about a NC15- NC20. This fits me quite right from the swatches. Can't wait to try this foundation out.

Another foundation I picked up is from the brand PUPA. This brand is not really well known in the beauty community since they are not easy to get hold of. I am just fortunate that PUPA is really widely available over here.
So far, I have tried a few products from PUPA and I like them. They are really good quality drugstore products.

This time I just wanted to try a foundation from them so I picked up this PUPA Active Light Foundation.

I always like a luminous finish for my foundation compared to matte. So it is no brainer that I went for this foundation. Sign me in for anything that says luminous, dewy, light activating, light reflecting.

The name, Liquid Camouflage, High Coverage and Waterproof, just intrigued me.
It was just calling for me, I had to pick it up.
I hope this will work as a really good undereye concealer for me.

I bought this shade from Bourjois again because I love this shade.
When I was doing my blush routine I somehow just miss using this blush from Bourjois. Bourjois definitely have the best powder blushers in the drugstore market. They are so soft, pigmented and long lasting.
This shade Rose D'or is gorgeous, it is a medium pink with gold flecks. It gives the cheeks a beautiful blush with some highlight.

I did a swatch and short review on this shade before, you can check it out here

Up to this point of the post, I guess you could already see that I like my products to have an illuminating finish.
I picked up the Catrice Illuminating Blush in 030 Kiss Me Ken. It is a mix of a light and deep berry pink shade with silver glitters.

A closer look at the blush, you can really see the glitters from here.

The last items I picked up are three eyeshadows from Art Deco.
I have used Art Deco eyeshadows before and I do enjoy using them. They have a wide range of eyeshadows, I kid you not.
When I went to the stand, I saw like a ton loads of eyeshadows to choose from and I was having a tough time narrowing down my shade selections.

373 Glam Gold Dust
It is under the Glamour finish. I do not know what that means, but I am just gonna assume it means lots of glitter.
As you can see from the pan, the eyeshadow is loaded with gold glitters.

578 Matt Smoky Mauve.
The matte line from Art Deco are gorgeous. They are so pigmented upon swatching.
This shade like its name is a plummy brown shade.

18 Light Misty Wood.
This is a pearl finish. It is a beautiful shimmery cool toned brown.

That's all for the items that I have hauled this time.

Mini haul : Bourjois & Victoria's Secret

Victoria's Secret lipglosses are not the best in town when it comes to texture and consistency but I have to say they are a nostalgic beauty item. Everyone and their mother are gifted or own this lipgloss at some point in their life.

Victoria's Secret had a sale on these lipglosses and something just pushed me into picking them up. I usually use these lipgloss when I am really in a hurry or when I find them in my bag. I usually pop them into my bag because they are so convenient to just pick up and apply anytime and anywhere with their plastic slant tip applicator.

The juiced flavoured gloss are really cute with the spiral design of two shades of gloss in the tube,

Redberry Blend and Mango Sorbet.

These glosses taste really good. They taste like fruits and they are sweet. Sometimes I unconsciously lick off the glosses. I know it is not a healthy thing to do but just can't help it with the yummilicious sweet taste.

On the bad side, these sticky glosses are not long hair and wind friendly. My hair just sticks on the gloss like no other.

The next item I picked up is an item that the beauty store was having an offer on and I have wanted to try them for some time. It is the Bourjois Quad Smoky Stories.

The shade I got is 02 Over Rose.
It is a beautiful neutral rose palette to create a rose undertone smoky eyes look.

Ole Summer : L'oreal 3 for 2 and Bourjois

The beauty shop near my hostel had a three for two sale on L'oreal, Maybelline and Ganier and also an offer for an item on Bourjois which I had my eyes on. It is a pretty good deal which I could not pass on, so, I ended up getting some items from the beauty store.

Bourjois Silk Edition Compact Powder, L'oreal Infailliable 24 hrs Matte Foundation, L'oreal le blush.

This is what I have picked up from the drugstore. I really had my eyes on the Bourjois Silk Edition Compact Powder after seeing Amelia Liana from Youtube sporting this powder.
Also, the whole youtube/beauty blogger world has been talking about this L'oreal Infaillible Foundation, I jumped the bandwagon and got one myself. The blushes, I wanted to make full use for the 3 for 2 offer and I was swatching  the blushers and really like the colours and texture, so I got two to fit the deal.

L'oreal Infaillible 24 Hrs Matte Foundation. If I am not mistaken it is called the Pro Matte in the US
My colour is in 11 Vanilla, the second lightest shade available. Actually I was torn between choosing 11 and 12. 11 leans more yellow and 12 more pink. After much consideration I went with 11 because the yellow undertone might suit to my Asian skintone better.

I haven't got the chance to test this foundation but I am definitely excited to try it out.

The Bourjois Silk Edition Compact Powder.
I am just so extremely thrilled when this powder went had an offer because I have been eyeing on this for the longest time.
I have good experiences with Bourjois' base products and there were a lot of great reviews about this powder out there. So, I guess that's what lead me to purchase this powder.

Let's talk about how beautiful the packaging is. It comes with a sleek black sturdy packing
The mirror, can be rotated 360 degrees all around and is in a good size.

The powder. I didn't remove the plastic flim on top just yet so pardon the reflection.
My shade is 52, which is the lightest available. I usually use shade 51 in Bourjois. I swatched it before purchasing it and it seems just fine on my Nc15-Nc20 skin but I am actually a little afraid that the powder will be dark on my face after the oxidation. I have to try out and see how it goes.

L'oreal le blush. I got the shade 140 and 105.
This blushes so smooth and soft to the touch that when I swatching it, I just went all 'ooh~ and ahh~' and before I could realize, these blushes are already in my shopping basket.

Left : 140 Right: 105
140 is a soft rose-beige with some peach undertones
105 is a straight up baby pink

From the picture you could see some fall outs. These blushes are really soft so it crumbles really easily. Just do not drop these blushes, they will shatter into a million pieces.

Swatches : Left : 140 Right : 105

The blush comes with a blush brush which most of the time I would not use. I prefer using my own blush brush. I still it is pretty nice for on the go.
It also comes with a small mirror, which can come handy.

Roses on the rocks : Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque haul

I love Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets. Bourjois released their Rouge Edition Aqua Laque. I know I am late to the party but I finally got myself some Rouge Edition Aqua Laque. With hopes that it will be as good as the Rouge Edition Velvets.

These Aqua Laque different from their Matte counterpart - The Rouge Edition Velvet, they come a shiny cap. I find the packaging really beautiful.
They come in 8 shades ranging from nudes to bright reds. Mostly bright reddish pinks and reds though.

The two colours I picked up are Rose on the rocks and Babe Idole.

Rose on the rocks is a dusty rose nude. This shade is a MLBB shade, it is very natural on the lips and a suitable everyday shade. This shade leans sheer, the pigmentation isn't as great as the darker shades, for girls with slightly more pigmented lips, this shade might be too sheer.

Babe Idole is bright pink. A cute colour for the pink lovers out there. This shade is more pigmented and bright compared to Rose on the rocks.

These lip lacquers have a high-shine glossy finish and it very hydrating, it feels like applying cooling water on your lips. Definitely a product to go to if you like a light fresh makeup for the summer months.
Due to the finish, they tend slip off, so they do not last as long as the super long lasting Rouge Edition Velvets.

Bottom : Babe Idole Top : Rose on the Rocks

In the pictures Babe Idole leans coral but in real life, it is actually a bright pink.

For an extra boost of moisture and glossy lips, I am loving the Bourjois Aqua Laque. Bourjois products never seem to disappoint me,

Little buy : Bourjois powder

The Bourjois Healthy Balance powder. I got this powder because it was on sale at the beauty shop near my hostel. For quite some time I was been very intrigued by this powder because of many raves from youtubers and bloggers on how it is comparable to high end powders in the market.

With the sale, it is a sin not to pick it up.

It comes with a slim red packaging, very compact and ideal for popping it into the purse. It does not take up much space. It comes with a mirror but there's no applicator. You have to apply it with your own sponge applicator or brush. I like it this way because I never use brushes or sponge applicators that comes with the makeup unless in certain situations. I always to use my own brushes.

The shade I have picked up is 52 Vanilla.
This is the lightest shade available. Usually in Bourjois foundation ranges, my shade is 51 Light Vanilla.
I am actually a little worried that 52 Vanilla will be a tinge too dark on me since I have seen the reviews that this powder goes on slightly darker than the foundation range. I have yet to try it on my face but swatching it on my arm, it looks do-able on my NC15- NC20 skin.

I will come back with a review on my FOTD post when I do try out this powder.

Little beauty shop haul : body lotion and Bourjois

I went a little hauling crazy this month, there are more hauls to be posted but I need to get them sorted out.
Let's start off with this haul which I did about 2 weeks ago at the local beauty store.

Winter is here. My skin has been really dry and flaky especially my legs, they are so scaly.
So I headed to the beauty store to get some body lotion and oh my, I left the shop with one huge tub of body lotion and another tub of body butter.
Organic Shop is a local Russian brand that promotes organic skincare or beauty products, they contain simple organic ingredients and no SLS, parabens or silicons. Not to mention they are very afforable which gives them a thumbs up from me.
The bad side, they do contain fragrance. Not too organic after all but I do not mind since the price tag is so affordable.

I adore sweet , dessert-like smelling items. So, I picked up the Body Dessert Body Lotion in Caramel Cappucino. This smells so good, makes me feel like drinking cappucino or caramel macchiato. It smells divine.
The Organic White Choco & Shea Body Butter smells really good too, it doesn't smell sweet that is too artificial and sickly, it has a very nice chocolate, cacao smell. I am already 3/4 on this tub and I have just started using about a week and a half ago. This proves how much I like it. My skin has been feeling very soft and moisturized.
Definitely running to get a second tub when I am done with it.

The Caramel Cappucino is so huge beside the Organic White Choco and Shea. Base on the weather and the rate I use lotions in winter, they will be gone in two months or so.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet were on sale. I couldn't help but to treat myself with these liquid lipsticks. They are by far my favourite drugstore matte liquid lipsticks. It would be a sin not to pick them up and it is the first time they were on sale since they were released here in Moscow.

and a little secret, with the current exchange rate, I paid really little for these liquid lipsticks. It is a good time to do shopping in Moscow now.

The two shades I picked up is Ole Flamingo! and Nude-ist.

I do own Nude-ist and this is actually a back-up. It is my favourite shade out of all the Rouge Edition Velvet since it is the most neutral and wearable. I was actually eyeing on Peach Club but unfortunately Peach Club is all sold out. Might need to go back to the store to check whether they stocked it back up.What a bummer. There were some  Nude-ist shade left on the display, so I thought to just grab it up as a back-up.

The other I chosen is Ole Flamingo. It is a straightdown bright fuchsia. The colour payoff so pigmented that one swipe is all that is needed. I even had difficulties removing the swatches from my hand, it took atleast 3 days to get rid of the stain on my hand. That proves how pigmented and long lasting it is.

Bourjois in Watsons Malaysia!

I am late on the bandwagon but Bourjois has arrived on Malaysian shore.

Bourjois was launched in Malaysia in Sunway Pyramid, which is over the other end of the world for me as I live in Ampang and do not have a car but fret not, they are now in selected Watson's.

Taken from the Pavillion branch's Watsons.

The prices are super affordable , they range from RM20-RM60 which is roughly the same or cheaper than the prices in Europe and the UK.

The selection is still limited, the bronzing powder, bronzing primer, velvet rouge and cream blushes have yet to arrive Malaysian shores.
Hopefully we will get to see them soon.

My picks from Bourjois are their Healthy Mix Foundation, Round pot blushes, Rouge Edition lipsticks and the CC cream.

I couldn't resist the temptation of not getting anything at Bourjois as I was swatching and playing around with the testers.
In the end, I picked up a blush.

I love Bourjois' blushes. They are very comparable to the Chanel blushes for a fraction of the price.

Most beauty junkie should know by now, that Bourjois owns Chanel.

Rose de Jaspe is a vivid pink with warm undertones packed with gold shimmers.

Bottom left : Rose de Jaspe right: Lilas D'pr
Rose de Jaspe is quite similar to Lilas D'or (which is known as a NARS orgasm dupe) but compared to Lilas D'or, Rose de Jaspe is pinkier. Lilas D'or is more peachy coral. Both are packed with shimmers.

When opened, the blush comes with a lovely note about the history of the blush from Bourjois and a useless brush. The brush is too soft and flimsy for application. I always throw them away.

Little June Haul

I accompanied my blockmate to the beauty store which is probably one of the worst decisions I have made. Knowing me, It is impossible for me to leave the store without getting anything.
Guilty as charged. I came out the beauty store with three items.

The much raved Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. My shade is in 31, I am pretty fair so this suits me just nice. I first heard about this CC Cream from Essiebutton and how much she likes it. I trust Essiebutton's opinions, so whatever she recommends, I just have to get it. This was the last tube  in the racks, I thought to myself, get it now or never since the beauty store is awful when it comes to restocking their products.
I swatched it on my hand and I pretty like the formula, it feels really lightweight. The coverage is light-medium, which is alright for my current skin condition. I am pretty excited to try it out.

L'oreal Volumisse Extra Black Mascara or as known in the US, L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara. I got this mascara because it was on sale. At the same, I got it because I wanted to try it and see whether is it worth all the hype. I am currently on the hunt to find a good lengthening + volumizing mascara since my favourite mascara, Maybelline TheMagnum is all done and I can't get this mascara at where I am currently. I know it is just weeks before I go back home for university break but before that, there's Summer Holidays and I want to look good in photos.

Essence Eyeliner Pen. I am going for a holiday soon and I do need a waterproof and smudge-proof eyeliner. My Maybelline Gel Eyeliner just smudges all over my eyes and by the end of the day, I would look like a panda. So I do hope this eyeliner stays and doesn't smudge, so I can look good in my travel photos.
