EOTD & FOTD : Spring Snow

My makeup have been really uninteresting thus my laziness in posting any FOTD or EOTD frequently.
My eye makeup style have been almost the same throughout the year. I have been into very simple and subtle eye makeup since it suits my eye shape the best.
I like to gently tightline my eye and pull out a straight wing at the end to give my eyes an illusion of being longer since my eyes are short.
Eyeshadows, I am still into the nudes. I am never too crazy on bright or dark colours

Here are products I used on my eyes :
Catrice Absolute Nude Palette
Maybelline TheMagnum Mascara (Favourite! Makes my lashes look really long and voluminous)
ELF Eye Primer

My overall look.
I curled my hair for the day.

I am still really loving my Chanel Mat Lumiere foundation. I do not like Matte foundations but this one is a special case since it gives a very beautiful soft matte finish. I am sad it is discontinued but I guess I will live with Perfection Lumiere.

Face Products used :
Chanel Mat Lumiere Foundation
MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural in Medium
Garnier 2 in 1 Corrector
Essence Me and My ice cream cream blush
ELF Studio Blush 'Gotta Glow'

My skin has been really great of late. Thanks to these products.
This is a repurchase. I have almost run out both of the products, so I stopped by the pharmacy to stock them up before I run out and go panic mode.
La Roche Posay Effaclar K and Effaclar Duo [+]

Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel came together with the Effaclar K as a special set. I thought it is more wroth the buck to get the set than the Effaclar K alone.
They also reformulated the Effaclar Duo and changed its name to Effaclar Duo [+]. I have to try it out to see is there any difference to the old Effaclar Duo.

Skincare recommendations #1

When I had my terrible breakouts, I have seek for many solution to my calm my breakouts.
I did all sorts of routines like washing my face with salt, applying aloe vera gel, trying all sorts of products from drugstore to pharmaceutical. Not high-end, my poor wallet couldn't afford it.

I was browsing through countless youtube videos of skincare routines and also blogs and I came across this product, It has truly saved my skin.

It is the La Roche Posay Effaclar K and Duo.

My Effaclar K looks beaten up, it has traveled with me to the UK and Australia. That's why.

I can't say enough praise for this product.
It cleared most of my pimples and smoothen my skin. Now I do not have as much break outs as I used too and even if I d have them, it is really minor ones which will go away in 2-3 days, the most in a week.

It is my skin saviour.

The texture of the cream is really light, spreads really easily and absorbs fast. I top it with a moisturizer since I do not think it is moisturizing enough for my skin.

The Pure & Natural secret.

It's June. I didn't realize it is already June until today. I am so slow.
June marks my finals month, so I am gonna be very busy after this.

Let's get started what I got this weekend from grocery shopping.

Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Moisturizing Day Cream.

I have heard a lot of raves about this cream and the fact The Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Kate Middleton 'swears by' this cream.
Caught by "Kate effect', I also picked up this cream.

When I was in London, I saw this cream but I didn't pick it up since I didn't need an extra cream and I do not want to add on my luggage weight.
I am glad I didn't because It is much cheaper over here in Moscow, only priced at 161 Roubles (about 3.31 British pounds).

Truthfully I still do not need anymore creams but since the price is so affordable, it is hard to pass and who knows this cream might be better than the other creams I owned.

I chose the normal to combination skin version.
My skin is leaning towards combination in the summer. I only get oily at my nose and elsewhere is pretty much normal or slightly dry.

The cream comes in a heavy glass tub with white matte lid.
A very simple design which suits the theme of pure & natural.

The cream comes in sealed which is good. Got to prevent those people with itchy fingers from dipping their fingers into the cream.

The cream has a thick yet light formula with the typical Nivea fragrance.
Sad to say the fragrance doesn't go away! Even after washing with plain water.

Blending the cream.
The cream is very easy to blend and it gets absorb fast during blending.
It leaves a slightly oily finish for the first few minutes then the skin will feel very soft and moisturized.

A comparison between the side with and cream and without.
The side with the cream applied have more sheen to it.

I will give a more detailed review after using this cream long enough.

Now let's move on to the next item I picked up.

It is another item that caught my eye.

It is the La Roche Posay Hydreane BB Cream.
This BB cream is said formulated for sensitive skin in need for hydration.
I swear by this brand after using their Effaclar line to get rid of my acne and it is a very excellent job in it. Lately my skin has been clear and if I break out it would be minor ones that go away within days.
SO I have high hopes for this BB cream in terms of skin care properties.

La Roche Posay Hydreane BB Cream.

The packaging of the BB cream is very simple and pharmaceutical-like.
The cream is very small in size.

Eventhough it is small, it is still packed with 40ml worth of product.
Usually Korean BB creams come in 50ml but for a western pharmaceutical brand, I feel 40ml is generous amount.

I got mine for 670 Roubles after student discount in a local pharmacy.
I am surprise that the price isn't as expensive as I expected it to be.

A Mission to Flawlessness

I do suffer from breakouts and pores are very clogged up. So I am always on the mission for the perfect skincare to clear my skin and unclog my pores.

Then I came upon a skincare line which product description sound too good to be true.

La Roche Posay - Effaclar line.

It was quite difficult for me to get them in Russia. It is available here but you need to know which pharmacy to go to to get them.

I bought 3 items from the Effaclar line.

Effaclar Duo, AI and  K.
I went a bit overboard by buying 3 tubes of cream (and they aren't even cheap).

The Effaclar AI comes in a 15ml tube.
It is targeted on breakouts, It is one of those rescue creams when you want to vanish a ugly red zit without drying the skin.
So far, I haven't been having huge pimples since my breakouts calmed, mine is usually tiny little red raised bumps or raised bumps. I am saving this for unlucky moments when pimples are going to attack me.
If they don't come, I am going to give it to my sister during summer when I meet her who really needs it.

Effaclar Duo. This is one of the cream that blogosphere have been raving (The Europe region atleast.). They have been wonder news that it treated their acnes, smoothen their skins, reduced whiteheads and blackheads etc.
Sounds like a miracle cream.
Well well, I jumped the bandwagon.

Since I am in Europe now and I can access to the Europe version, I got it.

I am praying that this cream would perform magic on my skin since this cream isn't the cheapest cream around.

I have used it but I can't say anything about it since it is the first time using it.
I could just say, I really like the texture, it is really lightweight and it absorbs into the skin really quick.

I would give a review later.

Effaclar K. The other raved cream of the Effaclar line.

It is one of the microexfoliator cream. A cream that unclogs pores and calms down pimple at the same time preventing new pimples from popping out.
Another miracle!

The texture of this cream is runny with some beads. You can't feel the beads when you are rubbing in the cream into the face but you can certainly feel like it is exfoliating the skin, maybe it's just psychological.

It has citrus-y scent like the rest of the other 2 creams.
Nothing to complain of.

I also do hope this cream would work miracles on my skin since it is most expensive cream of the three that I picked up.

I do really hope for clear skin like everyone does.
