Haul : Chanel, Pupa and Brushes

I have lusting over the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel for quite some time. This product is not available in Malaysia. So, if I want it, I have to pick it up before I head home.
At the same time, I have picked up a few knicks and knacks.

The first item I got is a makeup brush for the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel bronzer. The Soleil Tan de Chanel is a cream bronzer and it requires a denser brush to work with it. My current bronzer brush is flimsy since all this time, I have been using powder bronzers.

Yves Rocher Bronzing Brush

I went into a few shops in search for the perfect bronzing brush and finally I have found it in Yves Rocher. Yves Rocher is not a brand I usually go for their makeup items, for me, they are better in the body care and skincare department.
I was pleasantly surprised to find them carrying a good line of makeup brushes. Not very extensive but a good line of basic makeup brushes.

This brush is a small dense dome shaped brush which is great for blending in cream product and the size is perfect for the hollows of the cheeks. Not to mention it is very soft too.

Pupa Vamp! Compact Eyeshadow in 201.

I really like Pupa makeup products. They are not very well known in the beauty community since they are hard to come by and not many countries carry this brand.
They have many great quality makeup items.

I love their eyeshadows, they are extremely smooth, buttery and pigmented.

201 is a salmon shade.

Last but not least, is the item I have been wanting to get for a long time. The Soleil Tan de Chanel.

I am so happy that I finally took the plunge and got it.

The bronzer is huge. It comes with 30g of product.
This product can seem really expensive but if you do the math, it does not seem to be all that expensive compared to most bronzers in the high end market. Even more, this product could last you for a very long time even using it on a daily basis because a little goes a long way.  Did not regret buying this at all.

The packaging is so sleek and Chanel with the glossy black lid and gold trimmed Chanel sign.

Drugstore haul : Bourjois, Pupa, Essence, Catrice, Art Deco

There are a few new releases that I wanted to try from Essence and Catrice. The other day I went to the other outlet of the beauty store and saw that they had stock for some items that weren't in stock in the outlet which I always go to. Besides that, they had a stand dedicated to Art Deco, which I picked up a few products from.

No make up feel foundation? I am all up for it. I am one of those girls who doesn't like thick foundation, the more natural and lighter the better.
When Essence launched a no makeup feel foundation, I am all for it.

This product was not in stock when I visited the beauty store I usually go to, but when I saw that it is in stock at the other outlet, I went ahead and grabbed it.

My shade is 10 pure beige and in MAC I am about a NC15- NC20. This fits me quite right from the swatches. Can't wait to try this foundation out.

Another foundation I picked up is from the brand PUPA. This brand is not really well known in the beauty community since they are not easy to get hold of. I am just fortunate that PUPA is really widely available over here.
So far, I have tried a few products from PUPA and I like them. They are really good quality drugstore products.

This time I just wanted to try a foundation from them so I picked up this PUPA Active Light Foundation.

I always like a luminous finish for my foundation compared to matte. So it is no brainer that I went for this foundation. Sign me in for anything that says luminous, dewy, light activating, light reflecting.

The name, Liquid Camouflage, High Coverage and Waterproof, just intrigued me.
It was just calling for me, I had to pick it up.
I hope this will work as a really good undereye concealer for me.

I bought this shade from Bourjois again because I love this shade.
When I was doing my blush routine I somehow just miss using this blush from Bourjois. Bourjois definitely have the best powder blushers in the drugstore market. They are so soft, pigmented and long lasting.
This shade Rose D'or is gorgeous, it is a medium pink with gold flecks. It gives the cheeks a beautiful blush with some highlight.

I did a swatch and short review on this shade before, you can check it out here

Up to this point of the post, I guess you could already see that I like my products to have an illuminating finish.
I picked up the Catrice Illuminating Blush in 030 Kiss Me Ken. It is a mix of a light and deep berry pink shade with silver glitters.

A closer look at the blush, you can really see the glitters from here.

The last items I picked up are three eyeshadows from Art Deco.
I have used Art Deco eyeshadows before and I do enjoy using them. They have a wide range of eyeshadows, I kid you not.
When I went to the stand, I saw like a ton loads of eyeshadows to choose from and I was having a tough time narrowing down my shade selections.

373 Glam Gold Dust
It is under the Glamour finish. I do not know what that means, but I am just gonna assume it means lots of glitter.
As you can see from the pan, the eyeshadow is loaded with gold glitters.

578 Matt Smoky Mauve.
The matte line from Art Deco are gorgeous. They are so pigmented upon swatching.
This shade like its name is a plummy brown shade.

18 Light Misty Wood.
This is a pearl finish. It is a beautiful shimmery cool toned brown.

That's all for the items that I have hauled this time.

Brow game is strong : mini haul

This is a mini haul and this time I got the Maybelline Brow Satin and Pupa Vamp! Wet & Dry Eyeshadow.

I was in search of a new eyebrow pencil and it looks like I have a good drugstore eyebrow pencil that I actually got two of them in different shades. I bought both of them at separately after I used one of them I really like it and got the lighter shade.
I forgot to mention, I got in Dark Brown and Medium Brown.

The brow product comes in a double ended side. One side is the pencil.
The pencil is really thin and small, very easy to maneuver on the brows. It is said to be comparable to the Anastasia Brow Wiz.
I have not tried the Anastasia Brow Wiz so I cannot give an in depth comparison.

The other side is  an applicator with powder.

I find this brow product very easy to use and it creates a flawfree brow with a soft natural touch.
The colours are very natural, even dark brown does not look too bold on my medium brown hair. I find there is not much difference between medium brown and dark. The undertones of the brow product. Both shades leans to the cool side with the medium brown slightly more warm than the dark brown.

This is my brows using the Maybelline Brow Satin in Deep Brown.

So far, I really love this brow product. It's definitely a keeper.

Pupa Vamp! Wet & Dry Eyeshadow in 301.

Pupa is a really underrated brand that I do not see many talking about them at all but I admit they are pretty hard to find and mostly available in Europe (I have seen them in SASA in Malaysia). It is an Italian brand.

So far I have own their lip products and have been enjoying them. They can get slightly pricey for drugstore but the quality of their products have been top notch Italian style.

Pupa's packaging is not the most aesthetically pleasing. In pictures, it can appear as cheap looking with the shiny silver lid and transparent body. Actually they are not too bad in real life, they still hold up pretty sturdy.

301 is a champagne peach colour. It is very shimmery and reflective. I do not know if this is the best word to describe it. It is very hi-shine. Gorgeous colour.
Shimmery eyeshadows are my weakness. I love my eyeshadows shimmery, it just opens up my eyes makes me look more awake. The Asian eyes.
The best colour as an all over lid colour and base colour. I am thinking of using it as a highlight since it also makes a gorgeous highlight shade.

Drugstore New Year Haul

Rive Gauche is having some good deals on selected cosmetics and perfumes for the month of December and January. I picked these items up early of December when the racks are still stocked.
All items purchased were on offer and discount so I have made pretty good savings.

I like Pupa cosmetics, I own two of their Princess Shiny Lip Fluid which I also picked up from Rive Gauche and they are amazing.
This lipstick is nominated the best drugstore lipstick by beauty experts of Rive Gauche which made me wanted to try it out. It must be really good to receive such an award.

These shiny casing are the death of photography. They will never come out pretty in pictures.
The packaging isn't the most aesthetic looking and the whole shiny silver packaging does make it look not attractive at all. I won't say it looks cheap because it does not at all, the packaging is sturdy and it has a nice grip to it. It is so stumpy looking though.
Well, it should be all about the product quality , not about the packaging. Let's stop complaining about the packaging. A good packaging earns an extra brownie point though.

The colour I picked up is 402 Candied Pink. You know how much I love my pinks, I can't resist picking up a pink colour.

As you can see, the brand name "Pupa" is engraved on the bullet. It does give it a sort of a more expensive look to it.
Candy Pink is a warm pink with slight hint of coral to it. It is a spring/summer colour, very bright and fun.
So far, I like the lipstick. I do plan on getting more colours but I haven't seen a colour I really want yet. Also, I am eyeing on their Velvet Matt line. Let's hope they will have an offer soon for that line.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick.
These lipsticks are so affordable yet so great. This time I picked up two more shades, Asia (left) and Heartbreaker (Right).
Heartbreaker is for my mom. It is a deep pink with slight red tones. I am not sure if she would like it but I think she will. It is a elegant and mature colour with its muted tones, very suitable for an everyday use.
Asia is a mauve with brown undertones. It is the winter nude colour. Also, it reminds me of a "Kylie Jenner" lip colour. It is super gorgeous, it has been my winter colour. I have a FOTD with me with this lip colour.

I really love Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick. The price is great, they are so creamy and pigmented. Over time on the lips, it can be a little drying but it isn't a big problem for me, a lip balm could fix it.
The tube for "Asia" is a little wonky though, I got a faulty tube, I had to twist the tube multiple times to twist the lipstick up and then down. I am a little worried that it would go completely off that I wouldn't be able to twist it up and down anymore. But, so far so good.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 103 True Ivory.
This foundation is one of the best drugstore foundation I have ever used. It lives up to the raves from beauty bloggers.  Drugstores have been on their A game in foundations, I have found a lot of foundation gems from the drugstore.
This foundation was on offer for a very affordable price for 219 Rubles (with the rate then about RM14.50) , so I picked up a bottle as a back up. I am hoarder, I know that.

Maybelline Baby Lips.

Cherry Me, Pink Punch and Clear Intensive Care.

Maybelline products are on 1+1 = 3 offer till the end of December. I saw the Baby Lips display and thought why not stock up on some lip balms.I get through lipbalms really fast because I use them daily and always constantly applying them and even applying them to sleep (the clear ones not the coloured one, no one wants a kiss mark on the pillow).

Spendaholic girl

Good news or maybe not so great because I might have been splurging too much cash around but I have accumulated enough spending in Rive Gauche ( A beauty and perfumerie chain in Moscow) to have finally switched my standard card into a gold card.

A standard gold card allows me to enjoy up to 30% savings on certain items which is quite a great deal for high-end cosmetics.
Even so, I do not buy high end cosmetics in Moscow even with the savings because high end European cosmetics are still cheaper in Malaysia. Unless if our currency goes a little higher and roubles drop, then I would consider buying high-end there but for now Malaysia is still my choice for high-end European cosmetics.

I will not talk too much about 'Rive Gauche' first because I will be doing a guide on where to shop cosmetics in Moscow.

To accumulate my last 200 points. I picked up an item from the store.

I bought the same item from Pupa in the last haul, the Pupa Princess Shiny Lip Fluid in 004 Nude Pink. It is a past collection item thus the discounted price.

This time I went back and got the 002 Nude Rose. It is a beautiful beige nude with rose undertones, a very flattering neutral for everyday.
This was the last one standing in the counter. I just had to get it.
Among the four colours available, I find 002 Nude Rose and 004 Nude Pink are the most flattering colours.

Little autumn loot

I wanted this post to be solely dedicated to the amazing L'oreal Colour Riche L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadows but at the same time I am do not want to do another post just for the Pupa lipgloss. So let's mesh everything into one.

The L'oreal Colour Riche L'Ombre Pure Eyeshadow. Ever since, it has been launched. Everybody including their grandmother and aunts have been talking about it, like it has been the most amazing product to be released in the decade.

Let me tell you. I now get the whole hype about it.

This gel to powder formula eyeshadow promises creamy and smooth texture which transforms the make-up gesture into a precise and comfortable sensory application.

L'oreal eyeshadows never fail me, since the "infallible 24hr eyeshadow". The Infallible hits the top list when it comes to drugstore eyeshadow and now this new L'oreal eyeshadow is joining the ranks with it.

The gel to powder eyeshadow feels wet to the touch but offers the most buttery application with intense colour pay off.
It glides like butter and the colour pay off is so amazing. One swipe is all you need.
The shade I picked up is a Lumiere formula in 500 Gold Mania. Gold Mania is the most gorgeous bronze-gold shade I have ever own. The shade has a very luxurious feeling. To add it on the packaging and the whole 'wave' design gave the eyeshadow an even more luxurious look, it looks very high-end cosmetic.
I will definitely go back to the cosmetic shop to collect other shades. I just wanna collect them all ( like a pokemon).

The most beautiful shade ever, It looks like melted bronze-gold in the pan.
So gorgeous and luxurious.

Pupa has been a brand I wanted to try for a long time. I was browsing along the Pupa counter and they had a clearance on their past collection.
I picked up a Shiny Lip Fluid from their 2013 Princess collection.

It comes in a gold packaging with a see through bit so that you can take a peek on the colour. The plastic is very sturdy and thick so the overall appearance is very luxurious and glamorous looking. It looks almost high-end.
I am in love with the packaging.
The shade I chose is 004 Nude Pink.

This is my first Pupa item. So I am excited to try out, this product will be the basis of my first impression on this chic Italian brand.
