Watsons haul #1

It has been a long time since I did some Watsons (A drugstore in my country) shopping. I just miss the vast selection of cosmetics over here.

Yesterday I sneaked in there and checked out the new releases that I've missed for the past year.
Damage is still under control, I didn't pick up much stuffs, but I am going there again and I think I am going to do some major damage during the next visit.

I picked up four items. 2 skincares and 2 lip products.

What really drew me in into this cream is the word 'Sakura'. I just love everything cherry blossom. They remind me of everything girly, floral and sweet.
It contains SPF which is a plus point. I can't live without SPF since I am back in this baking oven. The sun always shines right from above.

The cream is pink! How lovely.
The texture of the cream is just nice. It isn't too thick nor thin. It makes a great day cream.

Pixy Radiant Finish Lightening Cream.

I bought this cream to use it as a sunscreen since it wasn't very pricey.
I have used this cream today, it seems to work just fine but the white of the cream seems to immediately brighten and lighten my skintone. It will work really great for those who has dull skin.

The cream is white. The consistency is medium thick.
Blended in.

ZA Lip Glam Liquid Rouge in RS481.

I got intrigued because it is a liquid lipstick. I like liquid lipstick I find them very easy on the go and I get the pigmentation I want and the glossy finish I like from them all from one product.

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick.

I think this is an Asia-only release since I didn't encounter them when I was in Europe.

I got it in the shade - Pink Punch.

It is a pink with slight peachy tones. I am excited to get more of these lipsticks because they were really affordable and there were so many colours to choose from. I wanted get almost all of the colour and ofcourse I shouldn't because I have too many lipsticks.

May day : The Body Shop haul

Happy The 1st of May Lovelies.

Weather has been great outside this week and may the blooming flowers welcome the great beautiful warm month of May.
Yesterday my groupmates and I had a barbeque party in the park. It has been great to be barbeque-ing after not doing it for a long time. There were too much food and I ate too much.
So today I am having a bad bloated stomach day.

On the otherhand, on facebook a promo for The Body Shop has been circulating around. I took advantage and got a few items from The Body Shop.

I picked up only three items, nothing too much.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner.

I like the Vitamin E range from The Body Shop. I think it is their best line. I have tried the illuminating cream and facial oil from this line and I really like them.
Since my toner is almost gone. I thought I should just try out this toner.

The Body Shop Honeymania Body Butter.

This range was on sale in the store. I picked this Body Butter up because of its scent.
It smells so amazing! It has a floral-ish honey smell. I can't help sniffing it from the tub since the day I got it. I am so addicted to the scent.
Now I am thinking whether should I pick up the Eau de Toilette since I am so obsessed with the scent.

Approving the Honeymania line.

Lastly the last item I picked up from The Body Shop is an item that Estee from Essiebutton raves about.
It is The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder.

I am not a very bronzer type of girl but something about this bronzer just keep screaming 'try me!'
I am quite a fair skin girl not English Rose fair and will never be that fair. Even for my skintone, it is quite hard to find a bronzer that isn't high-end that doesn't look too dark or muddy or sometimes worse, comes up straight up orange on my skin.

The Body Shop bronzers are very subtle on fair skin, it is like they are especially tailored for the fair skin ladies.

The shade I picked up is in 01 Light Matte

The bronzer is engraved with a honey comb pattern on the powder.

There is no shimmer or glitter in the bronzer. It is basically a fool-proof bronzer on fair skin since it is pretty light. It gives a hint of colour on the skin instead of the sunkissed look.
It has a slight reddish tone in it but it doesn't bother me at all.

For reference, the last time I matched myself I am a NC20 in MAC but it was when I was spending more time in my tropical country, now I might be fairer since I have been spending most of my life in Moscow.

A few days ago when I was in the hypermarket, I picked up the Garnier Micellar Water which many people sing praisea about and it comes with a pricetag doesn't break the bank.

I can't wait to start using it after using up my L'oreal Micellar Water.
On the other note, I also spotted Nivea releasing their own version of the Micellar Water. Got to love these cleansing waters, they are just so gentle on the skin

Hello Chilly November

Welcome November. It's also welcome winter to the land of snow and vodka.

Finally bought new winter boots to get myself prepared for the harsh winter here.
I really need these boots since I do not have any boots for winter.

Dark navy boots.

UGG style inspired grey boots.

I did a small skincare buy too since my skin was peeling and flaking due to the extreme dryness over here.

This is the first time purchasing skincare from Lush. It is the Celestial Facial Moisturizer. I would say it is kinda pricey at about 739Rub per tub of 40g but I really like it when I tried the tester, it felt so moisturizing.

I applied for the first time last night and my skin felt so soft. It might feel oily for people with oily skin but currently have dry, flakey skin so it absorbed the moment I rub the moisturizer into my skin.

It comes in Lush typical black tub.

The cream is pure white.

I have been thinking for some time whether I should get this because I am not into Western BB creams after using Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB and Eveline Cosmetics BB.
Lately, I am starting to accept Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB after applying it with a brush, I feel like it did its job after applying with a brush. My skin looked so smooth and radiant.

Jumped the bandwagon and got Garnier's BB Cream.

I havent used it or swatched it yet. So for now I don't know how is the consistency of this BB cream but I can't wait to use it in the future.

May haul.

The beauty store near my hostel is having a 15% off storewide. So I decided to pick up some things.

Mostly from the the new cosmetic brand they brought in, which is Vivienne Sabo.
It states Vivienne Sabo, Paris but at the bottom it states Switzerland. So I am not sure the origin of this brand and whether It is sold outside of Russia.
There's minimal information on this brand.

Ok on to the haul.

Vivienne Sabo Liquid Liner in Carbon.
Comes in a weird bottle shape but I find it pretty cute.
Feels like the ferrel of the Sephora brushes.
This one I didn't pick up on the sale, I bought it prior to the sale because I needed a liquid liner.

Kinda amusing. Charbon?
Is it spelt wrongly or is it on purpose?

A swatch.
I am gonna review about the liner after a few more tries.

This is what I actually picked up on the sale.
2 Couleurs De Luxe Lipglosses and a duo eyeshadow.
They cost around 100 roubles after the sale.

The Jeter Du Chic duo eyeshadow, I bought in the colour 39.
Here's the ingredient list.

Here's the packaging. Kinda cheap looking but you can't expect much for such a cheap eyeshadow. It is good it comes with a sponge tip applicator.

It comes with a shimmery pink shade and a dark plum colour with a sheen.

Couleurs De Luxe Luxury Lipgloss in 81
This one is a dusty pink colour. Very natural and pretty.
I have been eying on trying this lipgloss for awhile since I swatched it in the shop.
It is a cream formula with micro shimmers, not really noticeable on the lips, it doesn't have chunky shimmer nor glitters.

Couleurs de Luxe Luxury Lipgloss in 82
This is a milky bubblegum pink. Super cute shade.
Very creamy and pigmented too.
Today is pretty gloomy thus lighting quality is pretty bad.

Clearer swatches under artificial lighting.
Top is 82 and Bottom is 81

Swatches on my hand, just one swipe spreaded out.
Top is 82 and Bottom is 81.
Pigmented colours.

I lost my old card, they gave me a new one.
The new one is so cute.

The rest is other stuffs I picked up from the hypermarket.
Garnier Tinted Roll-on eye
This got a lot of raves in youtube, I bought it because I needed a new sorta of like eye essence or cream because my Lumene one isn't working for me.

This is how it looks like inside. The downside for the packaging is the product overflows.
Such a waste.

A swatch on my hand.
The texture is watery.

Also got a random bottle of cheap polish
Cost 11 roubles if I am not mistaken.
Very flattering colour for my skin.

My take on Garnier Shampoos

I have finished off one bottle with this shampoo now I am using the 2nd bottle.
It is the Garnier shampoo. Not the Fructis line.
I hate Fructis. It made my hair feel so dry, like wheat!
Garnier Ultra Mild Shampoo (Not sure of the name, I googled it and it seems to be this)
Mine's in Mango and Gardenia. Smells so tropical. Reminds me of the beach and well, my country. Tropical country.

Fortunately this shampoo it is the other way around, the shampoo actually made my hair feel softer. The only grudge is the conditioner is a bit on the diluted side.
So more product is needed to see the effectiveness. As usual the conditioner will always deplete way before the shampoo.
The conditioner has already been used up, now I am trying the Herbal Essence conditioner. First time in my life trying Herbal Essence. Hope it works well.

Well, for me Pantene works the best of the brands I tried in Moscow but still Garnier is worth a try for the cheap price. About 30 rubles cheaper than Pantene.
So far up to now I only tried the Mango & Gardenia line and Avocado oil & Shea Butter line. I like the smell of the Mango & Gardenia line more.

Comparisons

Comparison between ELF's studio blush Tickled Pink and Pink Passion.
Left : Tickled Pink right : Pink Passion
Tickled pink looks like a dusty pink beside Pink Passion which is a bright bubblegum pink.

The swatch
Left : Pink Passion Right : Tickled Pink
Tickled Pink is sheerer than Pink Passion but both of them are still considered sheer. You really need to layer to build them up.

Comparison between the ELF studio pressed powder in porcelain and Garnier Skin Naturals Visible whitening face powder in Ivory
ELF's has a stronger yellow undertone compared to Garnier's.

The swatchLeft : Garnier Right: ELF
After blending into my skin. Both blends nicely into my skin. Although you can see ELF leaves a tiny bit muddy look.
