Turkey haul

I am currently on summer holidays which explains my lack of post. Last week I headed to Turkey for a quick Mediterranean summer gateaway. Before I settle down and arrange my trip photos and finish off my summer holidays with my Scandanivia trip, I will fill the void with a tiny haul from Turkey.

Local Turkish cosmetic brands such as Golden Rose, Pastel and Flormar did not tickle my fancy. So, I did not pick up much cosmetics from Turkey.

I got items mostly from Gratis as they carry Wet N Wild. I have always been intrigued by this brand since it is highly raved in the beauty community for being dirt cheap and great quality.
The prices of Wet N Wild in Turkey is slightly cheaper than in Malaysia. So, I thought why not give it a try.

I picked up two lipsticks and an eyeshadow trio.

From Flormar, I only picked up one item which is a terracotta baked powder.

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Trio in Walking on Eggshells.

I am not an adventurous person when it comes to eyeshadow colours. Most of the time, I settle with my comfort zone colours which are the neutrals.

Walking on Eggshells is a really nice neutral eyeshadow trio that suits daily makeup.

Lipsticks in Think Pink and Rose-bud.

I like shades of pinks and roses thus i picked up these two shades since i find them the most appealing to me.

Left : Rose-Bud is a medium rose shade
Right : Think Pink is a true pink shade

Flormar is a local Turkish brand and this is the only Turkish brand item I have picked up in Turkey.

Terracotta Powder in Dual Gold.

Instead of a powder, this powder looks more like a highlighter and bronzer duo to me. What actually got me getting this powder is the gorgeous highlight shade, it is to die for, it is a shimmery champagne shade, the perfect highlight shade. Both of the shades are really shimmery and pigmented.
They can be used as a bronzer/highlight duo or even as eyeshadows. It is pretty versatiles.

The ELF Studio items that I got.ELF pressed powder in porcelain and ELF studio blush in pink passion
When I first saw pink passion, I thought it looks so identical to NARS' desire. The same cotton candy pink colour.


So, I took my NARS blush to compare,
Maybe not so close. In the pan NARS seems darker and ELF lighter.
I haven't swatch them though.

The highly raved HD powder.I can't bring myself to get the MUFE HD powder because that one cost a bomb and the money spent can feed me for a week!The texture for the ELF is pretty slippery and blends in translucent.


EGMinerals items.I got this BOGO.Waikiki sand is a light tan colour.
Cafe au lait in Paris is a tan colour with pink undertones.

Clearer swatch. Also there's the sample baggie from EGMinerals. It's in the colour British Lavender.The swatch on the site was horrendous. In real life, this colour is beyond gorgeous.

Wet n' Wild Megalo Illuminating Powder in Catwalk PinkThis can serve as a blush, bronzer and eyeshadow. Good for traveling.

I think I got the new packaging of the NYX megashine lipglosses.

I got Beige and Smokey LookSuch pretty colours. I really like them.

The swatches on the lips. No balm, no primer or lip concealer.Tea. I was reluctant to get Tea at first because there's hardly any swatches of it online but I am really glad I got it.
Such a pretty milk tea brown colour.

Celene. Celene is a golden lustre. I only applied a swipe thus it's hard to see it.It's a gorgeous one too.

Narcissus. It screams OMG bubblegum pink.
Love it ♥

Last but not least, NYX Ultra pearl mania in Walnut pearl.

Computer lab and hauls.

I visited my campus' computer lab today. It's one of the new building in the campus.like the interior design, feels so spacious.

Loving the lighting too. My phone came to camwhore.
My parcel come today =DIt's huge. Really it's huge. Also, my shitty room lighting which i despise.

These are the colours of the NYX round lipsticks I got. I love them they are creamy and pigmented yet dirt cheap!

I've got The mega pots in Cherub, Cream and Fine Wink. NYX singles in Root Beer and Smokie Mountain. NYX pearls in Mocha, Baby Pink, Mink and Nude.
Nyx blush is there too. The colour I got is Angel.



To ELF items. This is mineral lipglosses, the packaging resembles MAC
I got mine in Au Naturale and Peagent Princess. I took advantage of the 50% off.

These are pretty new from the ELF studio line.
The cream eyeliners. I really want to try them so I got them.

Cherry Red Lips

After such a long wait, I picked up my Popteen March 2010 issue
Kumicky on the cover and back cover.

There's a few pages that I really like. One of them is, models rocking red lips.
Red lips are certainly bold but if done properly, you will look like a glamourous red carpet star.I like red lips because it looks flattering on my skintone. I don't know it makes my skin appear fairer!
I remembered I once bought an expensive red lipstick just for prom night.

My rendition for Red Lips.I was using Wet n Wild Lipstick in Cherry Frost.
One of my cheap red lipsticks. =P

Life has been tough and busy for me lately.
My trials are in a months time and ofcourse I have to work really hard.Anyhow I NEED to get into a university before my parents slay me off!
Have been chasing after to get signature for my testimonial. I am glad I am done with it.

Stomach have been bloaty too. urghhhh!
